So I used the inspired-dhd-afr003, but I'm having the issue many others are complaining about... the sound on the earpiece and speakerphone are quite digitized sounding.
Seems like it should be possible to apply the original AT&T one, because it was crystal clear, but I'm wondering if anyone's come up with a resolution for the issue yet.
Thanks as always!
only way for 100% sound is the rooted stock rom in the same thread as v003.
What he said^^^ Jasons fix is pretty darn good though.

What's Jason's fix? Also, if I install the rooted at&t Rom will my HSUPA go back to restricted?

Possibly - However editing the build.prop file via root explorer should allow you to get it back, see this thread:

I am using the rooted stock Rom that was discontinued. I haven had any issues with it till now.
I noticed he created it with an older SU then what was in the market. I tried upgrading though the market but was getting an error the it was not signed correctly.
Now I have flashed the correct one from here on XDA. Now randomly I get a FC on com.noshufou.Android.su and it just happens. Can't reproduce it by trying it just happens when it wants to.
Is there a fix for this?

Flash a different rom using cwm. Android revolution is great!
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
When FC's happen intermittently and randomly, wiping your cache and flashing is the way to go. I've had the same problem but they usually always followed flashing something or trying to install/uninstall something on a non-stock rom. That always fixed problems for me. I agree with above post. Revolution Rom is great
I will try that when I get back to the house on Friday.
BTW this phone really rocks. Much better then the Cappy I just sold.

I am attempting to root my sisters captivate and install cm7. How do I get z4root installed onto the phone.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
At the risk of sounding like an ass, if you can't root the phone you sure dont need to try flashing cm7. It's a VERY difficult, multi step process where one tinymistake will soft brick your phone.
You don't need to root first in order to flash different roms.
Also, are you sure your sister wants cm7? She'll lose divx playback, 720p, hardware noise cancellation, and some other samsung specific things..

You don't sound like an ass I get that part. I am just unfamiliar with how to get it rooted easily I would've been doing it at her place away from my computer and was hoping there was a easy one click way to root her phone. I am familiar enough with android to flash the rom. Just not with the stupid att no side loafing apps policy

Thank you for that ill make sure she knows that before I proceed. Buy she barely uses the phone for much more than calling texting and Facebook

If that's the case, I'd probably just stick to one of the 2.2 roms in the dev section here. Calls will sound better with Cog 4.3, simply because of the hardware noise cancellation. They also include the Swype keyboard by default, which CM7 does not.
Believe it or not, my search of this forum was unsuccessful in solving my problem. My received MMS pictures are tiny! Several different phones and networks sensing them.
Running leedroid. Thus did not happen once stock. I thought there was a fixed APK, but I can't find it.
At the very least, can someone on stock post their Messaging APK?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
It isn't the apk, it's the default.xml that needs editing. A data wipe also needs to be done.
Check the Dev forum, there are two threads on it.

go to the stock text app then settings multimedia change it to 1000k or higher otherwise try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176605
or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1203151
Wow, Swype really screwed that post up.
In any case, it didn't happen on stock, and I'd prefer if my phone didn't have to lie to the network.
Did I read something about a flashable zip? Wiping seems silly.

Yes, look at the title of the his thread and the description.
I'm unable to access 3G on my phone through Ting, an MVNO through Sprint. Ting says its okay on their end, and advice I update my profile or PRL, but since I'm using CM7, and I disclosed that, those options are not there. Any ideas for what I'm missing? Something really simple and stupid? Data is on, btw.

Best bet nand backup and flash a sense rom so you can update prl and profile. If that dont help call and have them refresh your data that tends to help

Had a brain thingy when I was looking for a stock ROM. This phone was marketed as the HTC detail, a rebranded shift for an mvno. Could that be the root cause if I flashed cyanogen for the shift?

I'm going to say that you most likely got a Bad Flash. It is an Unbranded EVO Shift, Credo Mobile HTC Detail is the same thing as the EVO Shift. Same hardware, and same software for the most part as the Shift. So it should have working 3G / 4G depending on the Rom you flash.
Turkbot was right, I did need to update my PRL and Profile. Used the Fresh ROM, and I really liked it, even though I dislike Sense UI with the hate of a thousand haterades, and I like the flexability of CyanogenMod. Ah well, this problems solved at least.

Yeah I hear that, that's why I always try to keep a nandroid backup of sense around so I can restore to it from aosp and update prl and profile. Most of the time I keep the nandroid on my pc to keep free space on my sdcard and then transfer it over when I need it.
Keep the dev thread clean.

Probably because it doesn't work in any released 4.2.2 yet except using the tempfix hack in the general forum section.
With the WiFi fix and twrp. I am really liking this ROM...thanks Beastmode...
I think it just replaced slim 4.1.2

GPS
Im a little confused I don't see the GPS toggles Does this Rom not have GPS yet? Other then that Damn this is nice and smooth like butter.
I'm just wondering, is the phone call hearing problem still a bug in 4.2.2 or is it fixed? Also does YouTube work? These are the only 2 reasons why I am hesitating to flash this.

So phone calls are able to be heard from the ear-piece instead of speaker?
Edit: Can someone answer this please?
Was about to install the new 10.1 update and saw this, so many choices! Installing this one as we speak, can't wait to try it out.

Lol. It's suck to see you guys enjoying new roms. My phone was busted in the washing machine by accident. I am waiting for a new motherboard to arrive to fix it.

I've been using the Neutron Music Player. The sound quality is amazing, but most people don't like the UI. I actually kind of like the interface though and the sound is simply amazing.
Tethering via wifi
Is this possible on the rom? I tried it just laughed at me and called me fat (well it did not work but hey) Making sure i did not miss something.
Did you try using Barnacle or the Wifi tethering for root users apps previously suggested for people with problematic tethering?
Fixing the built-in wifi tethering is a goal, but one that probably needs wifi itself to properly work first. Or at least, to work without needing to be activated through another script...

OK just a few tips to get beanstalk smooth. Install nova launcher holo seemed to lag allot. Install seeder and root cleaner. Im not sure but using the xposed installer seemed to make the ROM respond better. Now my beanstalk is silky smooth
