I want to do the Super Circle Battery mod for my Nexus S. The one from UOT Kitchen causes the phone to go into a boot loop. So, I am wondering how I can do this mod manually? No talking about installing it...already know how to do that...I mean actually modifying the framework-res.apk and systemui.apk.
This needs to be moved to themes and apps or Q&A. Do not post in Development unless you are posting a guide, a ROM, a Kernel, or a Reference thread.

Is there any way possible to flash a new splash screen image on a non rooted phone or do I need to be? Thanks if anyone can help!! =)
afaik no, you have to be rooted to gain access to those files.
A google search could have answered your question
People need to read the first sticky in the forums..
Post questions/suggestions and things like that in the General section. This thread doesn't contain any progress or sort of development and if people keep doing this it will clog the development section with unnecessary post. Its like the Mods never check the Sidekick forums cause a lot of threads would be closed or removed or even further actions
Sent from my SGH-T839 using XDA App
You have to be rooted , rooting doesnt harm your phone .
My thread for help here
Come in the thread it's all you need . & help .
Where would one find the Samsung boot animation and is it safe to remove? My device is rooted but I don't like seeing two boot animations when booting considering one is more than enough.

Please post all questions in the General Forum, rather than in the Development Forum.
You can find this under /system/media, it should be bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg. Just move them to .bak, so that you still have a backup of them.
If you are using @Ayoteddy's rom, the updated version doesn't have 2 boot logos, go over to his thread and flash the updated version.
Hey everyone im new to android. Had iphone 4 And kinda knew my way around jailbreak and shsh.. But Android is alot different. so im learning..
Anyway i have a question About Android Reveloution Rom..
It say's » Advanced Power Menu, CRT Screen-off Animation & HTC Sense 3.0 components are in the second post!
And the second Post say's..
Android Revolution HD no-Sense..
I would like to Flash this rom as my first but would Like to Have the Sense 3.0 stuff included.
And further down it say's Before you flash any mods (especially 3.0 Sense mods read a different post..
My question is how do you include all of the 3.0 Sense in the rom? Do you have to flash each one seperate? And how do you add these to it?
Thanks..

Though I haven't flashed this ROM, I'd imagine that if you see a link for the sense 3.0 stuff, its probably a flashable zip(s) that you would download, plop on your SD card, reboot into clockwork recovery and flash from there.
Stuff like that is kept separate to provide flexibility....Not everyone wants the extra stuff, so it makes it more modular for people.
If there's individual links for individual components of sense 3.0, downloading a particular one would either add it or remove it, as labeled by the download.
You could also just browse through or do a thread search on that particular roms thread, as I have no doubt someone has already asked for clarification or otherwise brought the topic up.
***Edit***
I just took a look at the thread/posts. Towards the bottom of post #2, there appears to be an "all-in-one" package for the sense 3.0 stuff.
There's a lot to read in those first couple of posts, I'll admit.
Most of them are the individual components split out separately or in certain pairings/combos.
That all in one looks like it might be what you're after. If worst comes to worst, drop a question in that thread, but I'd spend a little time trying to read some of the prior posts first, it's good form around here to be as diligent as you can on your own first, and ask questions as more of a last resort.
You will also want to take a careful look at the description of the mods that are available. Many of them will not work with the latest version of Mike's rom because it uses a new base. They are working on updating them.

OP, this ^^^^^^
Take my reply above wolf_2's for what it was, just a quick glance of the first couple of posts of a rom that I, as acknowledged, haven't run personally. Wolf_2 clearly has more familiarity with that rom than I do.
Just flash the ROM in the link in the first post. It includes all sense 3.0. If you want to mod it after that you have to flash mods from the third post. If you flash the no-sense script after flashing ROM you will lose all Sense 3.0.
Again just download the ROM from the link in the first post and you will be set.

SInce i cant post in the the thread i want to post in, anyone had any luck customizing rezound senseless 1.1 with kitchen uot ? Cant get all my icons to stick.
.
Thread moved to Q&A due to it being a question. Would advise you to read forum rules and post in correct section.
You should be able to use it for that ROM, just follow the directions.
...or did you make one and can't get it to work?
I made three builds, its a senselss rom , so i dont know if that makes a difference. I have done it with other sense roms and all of them took the changes, its just this particular rom is not taking my changes.

I recently flashed the 4.1.2 leak for Verizon I535 and I am looking at trying to mod it. I really like the setup of Wicked Sensations and Goodness and would love to have some of the options that are incorporated there on my stock rom. Such as, status bar setups (icons, toggels, pull down image capability, etc.). I have tried changing out the systemui.apk, and the framework-res.apk both with no luck. I used ninjamorph to extract and compile the projects but each time when I reboot and fix permission I get bootloop. If anyone knows of a way that I can theme my stock 4.1.2 leak or if Wicked Sensations Rom or Goodness can give me any advice that would be great. I would really like to be able to use the Kuban Updater or the Goddness Updater on the stock 4.1.2 that would be ideal. Thanks in advance.
