ok, great!
.... in 2.5 sense is Toshiba home button for switching to home tab not possible, sorry

Hi Miro,
I see you have removed the start button here as well.
Does this mean it's not possible to access 'all programs' once anyone installs this?
Or is it possible to put a quicklink to this menureplacement itself?

i know it was there before because i mapped it to DeviceLock. i've already tried 2 soft resets with no success. i'm hopeful that i can fix this with a simple registry change vs. a hard-reset. if this can fixed via registry edit, i would be grateful if someone could (a) export the the correct registry keys and send them to me via PM (or post here) OR (b) post where to find the keys in the registry and list the default settings... thanks in advance for feedback.
I bet it has something to do with some software you installed. I have kaiser and remapped voice dial button to comm manager and it works without any problem.
not in this case... i installed smartSS to take the picture you see in my post. thanks for the suggestion, though.
Interesting, my config screen shows butons 1-6 plus a second number 6 button (hold), total of 7 mappable keys. Have you never had all these keys shown in this config screen? or did something you add take them away? I would perform a Hard Reset and see if the stock rom brings them back. Good Luck!

sorry for that, I already changed my post, I just thought (although not knowing what smartSS is) that it is the software that reserves the use of button mappings and therefore disables them in the windows settings menu.

the buttons just didn't show up when i went to change them. i'm going to hold out for a possible non-hard reset option. for now, i'll use AE Button Plus. thanks for responding...

POCKETCM query

Hi chaps
is there anyway to disable the SMS portion of pocketcm?
when a text is received, pocketcm displays. i want to be able to disable this and use the standard WM6 inbox.
many thanks in advance
there's a PCM thread in Dev & Hacking part of the forum, you should post queries there.
i think tene has said on many occaisions that he is not willing to remove or disable the SMS part of the program, and this has caused many people to choose iContact or FFF instead...
instead of downloading the cab file i use the zip file and remove the "interceptsms.dll" file this allows you to use your original text message service, and then i use the old fashion way to assign to a softkey etc
ok cheers guys
hi guys,
do you have problems using pocketcm & HTC virtual keyboard?
Or I'm alone....
thanks
probably best to post your issues in the PocketCM threads in Dev & Hacking part of forum for further help...
I recently installed the PocketCm and it worked beautifly, i installed this new skin but i did it wrong but it still worked, for some reason now in my today screen when i press on contacts it doesint use the pocketcm it just goes to the normal WM6 contacts with the letter down the right side for easy scrolling, any way to get it back to where when i press on contacts on the today screen it goes to the PocketCM program? I uninstalled it, re-installed it, soft-reset, everything i could do, any help please..
in the latest version 19b (version when this was written)
you can disable the sms part, just go to settings check the option to use the old sms application
The problem i'm having is when I press contacts on my today screen at the bottom right, (mogul 6800) It brings me up to the normal contacts with easy serch with the letters going down the right side, how do I get it back to when I press on contacts on my today screen at the bottom right it brings me to PocketCM..

[Solved] Problem with Wktask and Xbutton (SEE IMAGE)

Hi everybody,

As you can see in the picture attached, the X button (that's the X button that comes when you install wktask) is so big that overrides my battery icon (or the clock icon if have this instead of the battery).
1) First, under wktask settings, you can choose not to use a skin for the X button, which sthetically is great, because i like the default icon (i'm using NRG ROM 3.0 'Magic' BTW...).
But if i use this option, i loose the functionality of wktask... for example if i close an application tapping the x button, wktask close TWO application instead of ONLY the one i wanted.
2) If i use the wktask X button i have the awesome functionality that the app has, but i 've this sthetical issue that i'm asking now...
3) So, does anyone know, how to get the X button smaller or have wktask functionality with the standard X button that comes with the ROM?
Thanks!! (i've googled the problem several times, looked the author's site, etc...)
SOLUTION --> i started to change the parameters under "General 1" tab and the UNchecked the "use a skin file for X/OK buttons". After thar, i soft reset my phone.
Now i have the custom X button that comes with NRG rom and the functionality of wktask...
I dont know why, but before this, when i pressed the X button, sometimes wktask closed two app instead of ONLY the one i wanted.

since that's a sizing issue, i don't think there's anything you can about it. last i checked, theres no way to move the taskbar icons around.
So perhaps there is a way to make wktask work properly with the original X button from the ROM.
It's a bit strange... so... the "skin" is not only a skin... it does something more...
I should try reinstalling wktask... i didnt do it before cause i have my icons set up in the wktaskLauncher...
Thx for the answer!

[How To] Change the right softkey

if you want to change the right softkey all you have to do is:
1: Download my manila file
2: Backup the original 07c67730_manila file in your windows folder
3: Copy my manila file to your windows folder
4: With your favorite registry editor goto: HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila
5: Change: HomeRSKPath / HomeRSKText / HomeRSKArguments to what ever you like
For contacts change HomeRSKPath to: Manila://people\browserlayer\?.page
To remove quick Links without the menu all you do is hold the quick link you dont want for about 3-4 seconds and then drag it away this works on my rom but gessing its the same for all roms

FYI, I used HD2Tweaks to achieve the same result without the hassle of backup up/copying manila files, going into the registry etc.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=588652
Nice iv never used hd2tweaks before gess ill have to make mine even better so that it will have some use
*EDIT*
After testing hd2tweaks the right softkey setting never worked for me so i gess this is for people where hd2tweaks dont work
*EDIT*
Don't know if it's the Dutty ROM I have, Co0kie's Home Tab, or the ROM that you use, but the long-hold on quicklinks does nothing for me. Shame, because that sounded like a nice feature.
im also useing duttys rom so i gess its the Co0kie's Home Tab
I'm using an old version of a Dutty ROM - HG v0.8. It could be something that he himself introduced, if you're using a later version than me, but if that's the case then I'm pretty sure installing Co0kie's Home Tab would stop it working.
Im useing dutty HG 2.9
I was trying to make a customizable right softkey menu but run into some problems. I could make any of the menu items run anything that i set in the registry but i could not change the menus text
E.G i could make it so that when you click on somethink like Set Local Time and Date it would open the all people page but i could not change the text from saying Set Local Time and Date to say Contacts or any kind of text
the menu is loaded from Manila://home_menu.dialog if anyone knows how i can make my own .dialog so i can change the menu it would be grate
Thank you Splder!
It is perfect!

[Application] GoHome for CM9

Hi guys,
I want to share my application called GoHome which should help to use Galaxy Note on the go.
I've wrote and shared this application not for the money. It helps me to hold Galaxy Note with one hand and use it with comfort.
This application duplicates menu, home, back navigation buttons.
If you on the go it's better to swipe on the top than try to press Home button by thumb.
This is a beta version (design is not ready for preferences).
It has been verified on CM9 (some functionality will not work for GB (back, menu), I'm working on it)
I'll upload it into market soon.
Application itself is completely invisible. Preferences show four color areas where you should pull.
Preferences screen and howto:

What does it do? The pictures aren't loading....
Sorry for picture. I've fixed url.
It duplicates home, back, menu buttons. But all this is on the top of screen. It helps you to avoid pressing to physical home button which is hard to press on the go (with one hand)
for gb its okay but for ics?? navigation bar has the same options??

Yep, it was written for ics. Unfortunately my Galaxy Note is a single recorder what I have. I'll shoot video asap.

Dude you forgot one thing.
ICS doesn't need the Home button to be held down. Just hit the "Tasks" button, voila!
Its faster than yours.
Anyways thanks for this, it should be useful.
Especially for those that swap out the "Tasks" button for the Menu button.
But now on most custom roms (eg AOKP) you can customize the Nav-buttons and give them gestures: eg swipe up on Menu button to launch "Tasks" list.
