I am trying since a long time to connect my phone and make my computer to recognize the cellphone while in debugging mode.
I connect it and it asks for a driver and I point to google-usb-driver and it installs normally. The problem is when I go to the command prompt and type "adb devices" and it comes with anything on it, I have my cellphone connected properly with Usb Storage off. Wht am I doing wrong?

You are right it is WITHOUT. Here is the attachment!

Do you have the proper drivers installed and 2.3.X SDK environment set up properly? Try this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878786
The image in that post is wrong (device isnt showing up for 'adb devices'). But the steps are correct.
It should appear as:

Edit: Follow the instructions with downloading SDK and installing drivers. If it doesn't work you can force install it.
Thank You!!!
Well Succeded!!

This should solve the usb driver problem. Get Samsung Kies Mini
it comes with usb drivers which work just fine.
Before you install this, make sure that any other samsung usb drivers
are completely uninstalled and your usb cable unplugged.
Then restart the computer before you start the installation process.
After you install it, be sure to restart the computer with the samsung
usb cable unplugged and plug it back in after windows is fully started
and ready to go.

I have installed the Motorola Tools but don't know what else it could be. Any ideas?
Did you forget to turn on USB debugging on the XOOM?
Also, you did install the right drivers for your OS, right? You didn't install the 32-bit drivers on 64-bit, etc.
yeah i have done all that. the xoom shows up under my computer and I can drag and drop files to it.

Is fastboot in the platform tools folder?
thanks for your help guys, since I had a xoom for a while there were 5.3 motorola drivers that I had to uninstall and then install the 5.2 motorola drivers.
i think i messed something up though. after I did the bootloader unlock I am stuck on the big M logo saying dual core technology and it doesn't do anything else. ooooops

It wipes your device so try downloading a clockwork image and fastboot flash it and get yourself a custom Rom

Good afternoon guys, sorry if i have a bad english i will try to do my best
i need help with my htc one x from at&t, i get it last friday and root it, then i unlocked the bootloader but when i try to install a custom rom(Clean ROM) something went wrong, i tried to restore my back up copy but accidentally wiped it while triying to wipe de other stuff.
Now im stuck in the TWRP recovery and the bootloader, PC doesn't detect the device as a usb storage, i also tried to flash another rom using adb push and adb sideload, maybe i made a mistake or something, i hope you can help me.
Also i want to know wich are the correct drivers for Windows to detect properly the phone as a mount usb on TWRP.
Thanks
What happens when you mount usb storage through the TWRP menu?

Nothing shows up on my computer or any of the others I've tried it with today. And I've swapped over USB cables to make sure it wasn't that.
I'm assuming it's either some deep low level issue with USB connectivity or a hardware problem on my phone like a bent pin.

And i think i have a hard brick, i write details:
When i turn on my smartphone it stay on cyanogen logo forever.
I cant access recovery mode and i cant access fastboot mode(it goes to cyanogen logo forever).
But it find ADB interface on device manager
What i want to know is: Is it a hard or soft brick??

Thanks, I've tried everything and nothing works.
When i press power button my phones goes to Cyanogen logo forever. When i press Vol Up or Vol Down + Power button my phones goes to Cyanogen logo forever.
When i plug it to my laptop, it is recognized as "MTP Device", when i try one of above options it is recognized as ADB Interface.
If i try to access it by ADB devices on cmd, it says [my dispositive] unauthorized.
I tried to unbrick it by Qualcomm HS-USB Qdloader 9008 driver, but never toast any qualcomm or any COM connection on my Device manager, so i cant even proceed to use Color OS...
Im giving up on this
I cant get help in any forum....
it took me awhile until the right driver was installed. But it is the only way that worked for me. Be sure that you follow the steps, specially number 2a or 2b. There are good tips along the thread.
Hello everyone if i am breaking any rules or forgot about any rules please forgive me since its my first post here.
In the following image on left you can see CMD(in windows 10) and as you can see my device works flawlessly in adb. from adb i rebooted it into fastboot and tried fastboot devices command but it always shows up "??????" instead of some string of letters and numbers and as soon as i execute that command my device starts displaying "Press any key to shutdown" message. If i ignore this and start unlocking tool. as soon as i start unlocking tool even before logging in my device starts displaying same message. if by luck i get past this error and log into MIUI account my progress stops at 50% displaying either "Bootloader already Unlocked No need to try again" OR "Unable to verify device Error code (-1)". Of course my bootloader is locked.....
And on the right side of the image when i'm booted into Linux through VM. There i am using unofficial Unlocking tool and it always stops at "Obtaining Device info...."
Things i tried so far
USB debugging and OEM unlocking is on in phone, Different drivers,Tried using windows 7 through VM, i am using USB 2.0 not 3.0,Same account on device and on unlocker, Find my device is on and device is online,Sync is on. And of course i am trying all this after 3 days.
Help please i am missing on anything here?
