Hi,
I just bought the Nexus S from bestbuy.
I'm having trouble with the in call volume which is too low.
It almost impossible to hear the other side while in a noisy room.
I used the left button to bring it to the maximum but it almost doesn't help.
Did any of you experienced such an issue?
Is anyone familiar with any HW\SW solution ?
Thanks!
Oren

My wife's d2g has a very low in call volume. The volume is turned all the way up, but it is still hard to hear. It is all stock and on the latest ota. Any help would be appreciated to get this to a higher volume.
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
I wouldn't call the call volume on D2G low. I wonder if it is her particular phone - have you tried another Droid2 Global to compare? Maybe it is time to get Verizon support involved to eventally have it exchanged?
I actually had the "big red" send me a second D2G recently. I was experiencing some very low end, bassy, frequencies out of the earpiece speaker. It made it very hard to hear with much clarity having no high end sound to compliment voices. I noticed that having the volume cranked made something in the phone rattle but having the volume down made it hard to understand conversations. The new handset seems to be better with no rattles. I would call tech support at 866-221-4096. They were very helpful.
I may have experienced the same problem and found mention of a very strange oddity in another online forum turn the phone off, remove the battery and put it back in. Turn the phone back on. Your problem may well be fixed!
I had this low volume problem happen while helping my sister and 10 year old nephew move 3 hours from home. I can tell you I was not happy to find my shiny new phone great for every thing but phone calls....
5 minutes online and a battery "swap" later and all was well.
It hasn't happened to me since.
Dear friends,
I have recently bought an Ace Plus. I am facing a bit of problem in the earpiece. While i am on a call, if i raise the volume to full, the earpice crackles a bit. I want to know if this is a known behavior of this phone or a fault?
Need help....
Friends,
I am planning to visit the service center but i need a second opinion before that from anyone who has owned this phone. Don't want them to open up my phone if it is a design defect and not a hardware fault. So please help.....

I don't know that phone, but ...
Do you get similar behaviour listening to music if you raise the volume to maximum? It is possible that you are just hitting the limit of the speaker and it is distorting - or it may be a hardware fault with your particular phone, or even something loose trapped by the speaker that is only making itself known when the volume is high.
If the phone is under warranty then just take it back anyway - better to be safe than sorry.
Thanks for replying Simon, well its the earpiece that has the problem, not the back panel loudspeaker or earphones. There is no possibility of testing it with music. It sounds like the speaker diaphragm is a bit loose. I think i should visit the service center.
When I use my Pixel without a headset I have issues with hearing people well. It seems like the volume is very low. I have other phones, such as the S7, that I don't have this issue on. It only seems to be on my Pixel.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Does anyone know of an app or hack to make the in call volume louder?
My phone is rooted.
Thanks!
hello there,
I have a op7 running on latest oos.
I bought the phone in oct 2019.
Right from the beginning I'm facing call volume issue.
Let me explain the issue carefully.
When i place the phone to my right during a call, it is heard low though i put the call volume level to high.
But when i place my phone to my left it sounds good.
Idk it's the problem only with me or any people facing the same.
Anyone having the same issue reply pls.
Also suggest me if there is any solution for this.
Hello.
I've gotten pretty frustrated with using my 3a for a while now regarding this specific issue, the call volume is just always super low and makes using the default phone app unbearable because I can hardly hear the other person, it is ALWAYS at max volume btw.
I just genuinely do not understand why the call volume is so low whilst the other volumes (media, alarms, etc) don't seem to have this issue and I can even get additional apps to boost the volume for those- but not the call volume.
It seems to have gotten worse just several days ago when some liquid hit the grill , so now instead of it sounding like someone is 3 feet away from the phone, it just sounds like 6 feet away. But even with this situation, it did NOTHING to my other volume settings.
Is there anything I can do to improve the loudness at all without depending on headphones? I would prefer having the phone on my ear , especially since calls on headphones literally echo whatever gets picked up on my microphone back to me I just honestly hate it.
Get a replacement phone. That's not normal. My call volume gets loud.

Is that really the only possible solution here...?
Everything else is fine...I just cannot find a way to make the call volume louder, just seems like Im stuck putting it on speakers or using headphones at the moment.
