i am trying to run CM7 and everytime i reboot the phone never starts and i get this error. i can fix this by formatting the cache and all but still it is a pain.
any help out there?
( i reflashed the rom and nstead of using titanuim to restore my apps i did them manually through the market and also downloaded the google apps from the market individually and so far i am doing great. i rebooted the phone 5 times straight and all is working well. i am going to go out on a limb and say that my problem is solved. i hope i helped someone with the same problem)

Any app(paid or free) won't go past the "Download Starting..." Status. It has been driving me crazy for hours now. I've restored the phone with the latest RUU 3 Times now, I've tried the stock rom, modaco, and TTG. Its a Google Phone w/ Recovery 1.5.2. I'm getting annoyed with the phone and I'm about to through it out, It has been working nearly perfect(random slow downs and crashes) until today.

i had to do a total wipe of the phone to get it back to normal
I flashed it with the RUU? Isn't that the way to "fully" wipe it?
Same here. I did ruu then flashed fresh 1.1 and gumbo kernel. All my apps were in my downloads but they wouldn't download to the phone. Stayed stuck at application downloading. Did a nandroid backup and that fixed it.
I completely wiped everything, with these commands:

wipe -all
I don't know which commands worked for doing what but I couldn't even boot into android or recovery.

Its a market wide issue... No reset is gonna help.. It was just circumstance that you thought that...
I'm a Sprint Tech, and it has been brought to my attention all day, whether you have a Hero or a Moment, its sporadic outages.
Did you use a task manager or anything that disables apps on start-up?
I had that problem until I figured out disabling Google Talk from start-up gave me that problem. Opening Google Talk, magically fixed the problem for me. May or may not be the case for you, but something to think about.

That sucks, the day I choose to reflash the market is down. Oh well. Anyone know how to do a FULL Wipe or were my commands right?
Need to open google talk and sign in.
That fixed it for me, and a few of my friends!
I experienced this problem, and found that A2SD is the cause.

I've fixed the issue, I had to boot into fastboot and manually delete everything on the phone(directory "/") and used the latest RUU. I manually rooted the phone and installed the 1.5.2 Recovery. I did a factory reset, deleted dalvik-cache and boot-cache and installed a custom rom. I couldn't get service but a reboot fixed it. I have 150mb free space on my phone and market works without problems.

Signing into gtalk wasn't working, it kept giving me errors when I tried to sign in.
There was an issue yesterday were any phone that was reset wouldnt download for hours

Sound like your problem wasn't just a market problem.
All you actually had to do was change your Gmail password. The phone will then force you back through the Google account sign-in process. This fixes most Gmail syncing issues and Market download issues.

are you using wi-fi to download the app? I never had much success doing that myself. always had to use EVDO.

Anyways i have a motorola defy and whenever i flash the nordic 2.2 the market doesnt work, also i started running cyagen mod7 and the market isnt working again, everything else work fine but when i click an app to install it come up in the notifications bar and dissapears! its annoying ive tried EVERYTHING ive delete the chache, installed different maarkets, signed out of google talk, signed in to google talk, ive whiped data and chache with clockwork recovery, ive repeatedly reflashed the zip and re flashed the sbf its really annoying and im beging to think all this made it worse. any help would be greately appreciated as i would like to finlly find the answer to this annoying problem. cheers

try to uninstall some apps of your phone. Maybe it will help the other to install. Moreover, you shouldn't do anything with your phone when apps are downloading. Excuse my bad english, I'm french.
aha thanks dude but there arent any apps, thats the problem, even when i first booted and cm7 asked me to installl the google apps they wouldnt install, only market and talk ar on there the rest are the stock cm7 ones :S

make sure you have enough space to install apps on your device!
I have a similar problem that many people have had with downloading apps from the market, however none of the solutions i have seen work. I purchased ADW Launcher Ex from the market the other day and it wouldnt authorize. I replaced all my billing info and then it authorized fine. I click on the purchased button and it authorizes, then says starting download, but after about 5 seconds it just stops and goes back to the bottom of the "my apps" list. I dont get a notification saying the download was unsuccessful, but when i try to download and install again, it says download unsuccessful and just goes through the same process all over again. Anything and everything else downloads and installs just fine.
I have tried wiping data and cache of the market and download manager.
I have restored my phone using CWM to a previous backup.
I have reinstalled my custom rom.
I tried an alternate rom.
I have reset my phone to factory.
I reinstalled the stock rom.
I tried logging out of and back into Talk.
I added another gmail account as well.
If ANYONE has any other ideas PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know. Stupid google hasnt emailed me back yet, so i figured id probably get more help here anyway. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what is causing this. My applications that we're previously installed all force close when I try to open it, and the Play Store is back to Market. My saved Google account is erased as well. Any ideas? It's beginning to get very annoying to have to wipe my phone and reinstall everything all over again.

have you tried actually going in and wiping /data and /cache before re-flashing the rom to see if it helps? if not, try that.
if its only happening to you on that rom, try flashing another.
if none of this works for you, then use This tool.

I always use the Nullifier application before installing the rom, yet I'm still having this weird problem. I'm going try that other wiping method and see how it goes. Thank you !
Downloads of gapps/ROM might be at fault also. If wiping doesn't solve it for you then you should re-download them.

hi, something is wrong with my Nexus 5 and i dont know how to fix it. So a few days ago, I was looking at how much little storage i had left so i went into my apps and i saw that ES file explorer had 1.02Gb on data. So I cleared it, and as soon as I did a lot of apps started crashing. I tried rebooting, and as soon as it booted "Unfortunately, google search has stopped" or something like that. I could barely use my phone at all, i was running HRT Rom 4.4.4 and i tried doing a factory reset and flashing the ROM again, but it still didnt work. Many apps still crashed. So I did another factory reset and i flashed a different ROM, (dirty unicorns) and i flashed PA Gapps and not as many apps crashed, but google search is a big problem. Right now I havent messed around anymore with it. Im on dirty unicorns Rom and everytime i reboot my phone google search crashes continuously for a while, and then it stops. i can use my phone for pretty much what i need it, but google search crashes every time i reboot but after a bit it stops. One another annoying thing is that i cant install xposed now. when i do, the android.system crashes to the point where i have to do a factory reset. I also cant share pictures from my gallery because it crashes. there is one app that every time i try to open it makes my phone reboot (photo punch). This is quite annoying and if someone knows a fix for this i would really appreciate some help. I also already tried uninstalling google search with titanium backup and installing it back from the play store but it doesnt work. well, you factory resetting, or wiping data isnt fixing your issue, so i highly recommend flashing the nexus 5 factory img and starting over.
Why would you delete that? Lol

This is usually the cure all. Spend hours/days chasing an issue, or minutes reflashing. ?
