[ROM] [ICS with sense 3.5] [Dec 22] Fasty Beta {Audio Beat and more}

This is my first Sensation Rom (used to make roms for samsung captivate which is more simple then htc).
Anyways back to business:
Based on : 3.06.401.101 Sensation Xe
Kernel: Stock, 3.0.13-g8085863 htc-kernel
Rooted
Deodexed
Init.d support
Build properties and other tweaks
Adfree app added to block ads
Tweaked GPS
Big apn List
Modified framework
Better stability
and much more..
And yes Face unlock works,and so the camera.
For speed but the battery will be used more
To awake the second processor: Download system tuner, click cpu, click boot setting. click force all cpus online, on boot completed.
Known Bug: Cant choose wallpaper from gallery (from menu/wallpaper)
Fix : For now just go directly to gallery then choose the picture and set it as wallpaper.

Welcome, please report any feedback.

I tried to run Fasty from SD with Boot Manager. With a lot of patient after several error messages about sense, I managed to Install launcher pro and set it as default.
From this moment it's working fine. No reboots and phone seems almost fully operational.

Stable, Gallery and Music Apps Work
You don't seem to be popular but your ROM is the best for me so far. The gallery and the music apps work fine for me unlike two other more popular ICS ROMs that I tried.

My absolute favorite ROM for the MyTouch 4G is Virtuous Unity 2.39.0. It's great on the battery, I found a working Genius Button Fix and Beats Audio

I agree - the first step you should do is to decide whether you'd like to use Sense-based ROM or not, as there's a great difference between those. For Sense you may check Virtuous Unity, for AOSP - Cyanogenmod 7.1. Only after that you may go deeper for more customized versions of either Sense or not builds.

I wonder if there's any noticeable differences between Virtuous Unity and Affinity. I know - the first is Sense 3.0, the second - Sense 3.5. But isn't the 3.5 just an optimized version of 3.0, and why do many people prefer 3.0 over 3.5? Most reviews I read didn't make it clear to me.

Yes, try the Official Port of Android Revolution HD™ 7.0.0 ROM. Very smooth, just missing working WiFi calling and you will need to flash another camera to get the ffc working properly. Wow, its super!

I would agree that Android Revolution 7.0.2 rocks! It's VERY stable. Some people will call me crazy, but I am new to flashing roms & I don't really like the cyanogen 7 Rom. It's ok, but not for me....

Android Revolution HD 6.5.1

Well, I can't post this where it should go (n00b restrictions and all), so...
This is the most awesomest ROM evar! From the moment it booted I could tell the difference in the speed! Fast, smooth, awesome, thanks for this!

I agree. It's totally cool. But one thing I notice, I cannot find the "transfer data" app. Is it okay to restore using 4ext because I backup first before I flash ARDH.

Yup, Thats why you do backups before you do anything.

I do a workaround for the restore and it works. When I'm in the recovery, I select the advance restore instead of restore only. Then I select restore data only and it was successful.

Try Virtuous S4X. It's got Sense 4 but it's not all that great as a daily driver IMO but it is a good effort by the team

On 6.5.1 I have noticed that the signal is not as good as it was in some earlier Roms... The firmware has the new radio in it right?

I just installed this rom yesterday, it's fantastic so far. Much smoother graphics, great battery life. I also noticed an improvement in signal, according to the speedtest app at least. Highly recommend it!

I can't yet post in development and I didn't want to go through millions of comments to try and see if anyone else has the same problem as me - Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask.
Currently on ARHD 5.2.1 I've realized that the call volume is a bit weird, like the gain is too high where the sound 'vibrates.' Also, is there something I can path for power saver?

I love this Rom but had problems with Skype video, it was laggy and the video was green.
I went back to stock. Have they fix this yet?

I love this rom as well but can't seem to find 6.5.1. I upgraded to .2 and seems to be a compete miss with the WiFi calling. Can anyone lead me to a download link for 6.5.1?

ARHD 6.5.2 is so far stable on my device, cant wait for mike to port sense 4.0 for this ROM.

CRT Screen Off - Animation Mod or Tweak

Hi All
I have seen in various posts how to modify the framework-res.apk to enable the screen animation.....
Can I flip get this working. I can pull the apk from the phone but when I decomile I get errors, once it has compiled it is about 3mb smaller than original so something is clearly wrong..
Can anyone recommend a mod pack / Tweak pack I can flash over a stock ICS OTA rom that will enable this little change?

I do not understand why this isn't a addon on every custom rom out here.... Only arhd has it at the moment..

Just casually stepping in here. No ARHD does not have a CRT animation for ICS because there isn't one made at the moment. Please check your info before you post...

If you look at my post about crt-off animation ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538485 ) you'll see that Htc has f****d service.jar AND hwcomposer.msm8660.so lib witch is "unfixable" for now. And there is no crt-on animation in stock ICS, only in CM9 or other AOSP "tunned" rom.

Not sure what to do about the lib but the services.jar issue is fixable, just need to change the consist to always return true on screen on/off animation (might be called z animation in the smali - not sure atm, will look a bit later)

Yes I know service.jar is fixable, that's what I've done! But hwcomposer.msm8660.so needs to be recompiled (or hacked) with missing functions.

The CRT Animation is the one mod that I really don't wanna live without, but there hasn't been a stable one released for ICS yet. I guess all the devs are waiting for the final ICS releases.
BUT, someone created one for ICS named 'dirty CRT animation-off.' It obviously doesn't have the screen on animation, but it does have the screen off. It isn't 101% perfect, but I'd say closer to like 96%. Good enough to tie you over though. Believe me, no one is more eager to get a final version of CRT than I.......glad to see there are others.
It's a little ways down this forum.

Wow thanks for all messages. when I started this thread I wasn't aware the ics build we have doesn't support the CRT off like the nexus.

I am also one that really needs my CRT animation. Another easy albeit not 100% pure CRT animation can be obtained by downloading and using Screen Off and Lock in the play store. There is an option to add a shortcut in the notification pull down. So basically you'll get a similar to cm7/9 experience with a pulldown notification shortcut and CRT off. Now I just gotta get in there and replace/delete the icon on the status bar. We'll see how that goes.

OpenSensation is based on CM9 (cyanogen mod 9) which is completely different than our sense ICS builb, so we cant take CRT anim from this rom to sense ICS.

Any new updates on this?

Unless HTC Randomly decide to release the closed source binaries,i highly doubt it.I too miss the old CRT animation

I wonder why crt animations work on some roms and not in others ? Is it possible to port them on all ics roms ?

I've seen CRT animations on sense roms before when ported by a Dev. Mainly pure aosp roms though. CRT animation was first introduced in gingerbread. Most of the aokp roms (ics) have the ability to turn on the animation inside rom control. If your rom doesn't have rom control you can push it to system/app or ask in the thread of your rom. People are willing to help just ask about it in the actual rom thread.

The rom control thingy can be pushed to system/app ?! :O that was the only reason i used aokp for a while but wasn't reading my battery correctly so i came back to virtuous ok ill ask there and lets see how it goes thanks !

Crt animations are on aosp roms because when they are ported there, it doesn't break stuff.
As for rom control, you can just put the app in /system/app as nothing else in the rom supports it.
On sense ics roms, crt animations breaks visual stuff, so that's why most of the roms don't and won't have it.
