Hey guys, just thought i pass this along. I know it s listed for the Desire HD, but Phonearena has identical dimensions for the Desire HD and the Inspire plus the cases from the desire HD fit the inspire. I think the chances are good it will fit, and I just ordered 2 myself for 4.85 s/h.

Marketing. It is not "free", you are still paying them money. Some accessories can be made for as little as $0.10. Instead of charging you $2 for the accessory and $2 shipping, they make the price free and charge 5 bucks shipping.
That's cool. Will be ordering a couple tonight.

I'll wait until you receive yours.... I've seen too many scams to collect information like this.
Nah no scam, I remember people getting these from the same company in the samsung captivate forum.
very nice, i guess they rely on ppl buying the upgrades, like me. full body in a matte finish in black carbonfiber
I ordered the skin for the htc evo 4g and samsung fascinate before so no worries.

Edit: seems like it is the user panel for their website itself.
magento is a shopping cart script that must be what they use to run the storefront.

Don't worry it ain't a scam, I've bought like 6 sets from them (three for iphones, one for blackstone, one for evo, and one for an aria). All of them worked really well.

Hi!
Who will buy the new HTC Desire S ?
I will not buy it because if it is not in the upgrade path for me and I got my Desire at the end of the last October, but I encourage everyone who will buy it because if we disregard all the puke people spill especially over in the Desire subforum, Desire S is a device of superb specification and if I wasn't under contract, I would be getting one myself.

I pre-ordered one, but I'm half regretting it in light of the recent Pyramid leak.
If I didn't already have the Desire hd I would.
--- I am geek. Hear me squeek. ---
I pre-ordered the Desire last year, and currently trying to sell it in order to pre-order the S...
I think it just fixes the little details in Desire that made all us looking for custom ROMs.
More space for apps (that is THE most important upgrade for me), a front camera so that we can make video-calls through skype..., HD video recording (though HTC could have gotten a 8MP cam), and a more solid body that our hands will enjoy (I am still mad about that back cap on Desire that doesn't fit EXACTLY as it should be...)
I don't have any smart-phone yet, and I'm nearly at the end of a 2-year no-data contract with a shiny-but-dumb Samsung, so I'm almost certainly getting one.
The main issues with the Desire are:
Memory's a little too small to install many apps.
Battery runs down too quickly
Overheating and reboots
Well the new device has more memory, more internal storage, and a 45nm CPU which should draw less power and be less prone to overheating, so that would appear to fix most of the problems.
I'm also drawn to the idea of built-in maps and some of the other Sense 2.1 goodies. And Gingerbread too.
The only thing that might change my mind is if the Desire S gets priced a little too close to the Incredible S and I have to pay an up-front cost (on the contracts I'm looking at, the Desire is free).
I would buy one - if the price is right...

Sold my ol' Desire last month. And now did get the DESIRE S.
It's worth it. from the build quality to camera, dimension..I must say it's a whole new phone.
I really want this phone. I will get it when a NAM version is available. I hope TELUS or bell will pick this up. A perfect phone to replace my nexus one.

i guess that is true as the Desire S has a adreno 205 GPU & the processor is 45nm fabricated
& the original Desire has a adreno 200 GPU & the processor is 65nm fabricated
so the Desire S is faster GPU,less power hungry & also produces less heat
the Desire S also has better 3G capabilities, more ram, more rom, better camera (even though both are 5 MP),a front facing camera,a slightly better battery
the desire S also does not have any axis swapping bug like the original Desire & supports multi-touch with at than 2 separate points
so hardware wise its much better than the original Desire(i guess its better software wise too but i don't have the device yet so cant say )

I just did. Sold my HTC Desire for 300€ (433$) to a friend today and ordered a simlock-free and branding-free HTC Desire S muted black for 430€ (621$) online.
I am gonna miss the real hardware buttons (for waking up the device using lockBot pro), but I think I will not be disappointed. And the black color rulez! Hated that brownish ugly bronze of the Desire.

I'm sure this thread has been posted several times but here it goes. I'm new to the HTC inspire and android OS. I came from and iphone and I'm loving what I've seen so far with my new phone. What I haven't seen is a whole lot of loving from the accessory companies. What do you guys recommend for screen protectors and case protectors. Also will stuff for phones like the HTC desire work for the inspire? Any suggested apps for first time user.
Thanks
Max
Welcome brother. Anything for the DHD will work with the inspire.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA Premium App
There is a growing base of products for the Inspire. Check the Inspire Accessories forum. and as far as what to get for your phone it depends on the flavor you want? nakid or as close to nakid as possible? case? screen protectors? up to you! if you have questions feel free to pm i have been reading the accessories thread for a while, although I feel like i am squared away with what i have for my phone. (next purchase is a decent hip holster the $12 special just isn't going to cut it for very long! LOL)
Android OS**
Droid is a branding for verizion high end android phones. Android is then operating system powering the devices. Just annoying that people dont know this.
Anyways welcome the inspire is a beautiful device and most acessories for the desire hd will work with the inspire.
The best screen protector I have found is the realook one from amazon. It is truly invisible. As far as cases go u probably have to get one online, as all the accessory places in the mall and such are over saturated with iPhone accessories, but that's kinda how it goes for android. I personally would rather shop online as all the mall kiosks are really overpriced and all the iPhone people don't seem to mind.

I'm from the states....never heard of them....are they good cases?

Haven't seen this brand either, looks nice!
tech21 is aka D30
We just received a shipment for our retail location here in the states for the htc mytouch 4g, we also have a flyer showing the upcoming cases for the Sensation, I guess we have to wait. The cases I tried for the mytouch 4g is very nice and durable. So with that in mind as soon as they come in I'm all over it .
Yes we just got the shipment in for the galaxy and the sidekick 4g and they are epic look up some videos of the d30 product its epic i cant wait to get my sensation case. They are a company that is contracted to t-mobile for the next year. So they will be putting stuff out for every thing T-mobile. The us leader said they had made a last min change on the sensation and they had to adjust the product so it fit right so he said look for the sensation in the next month.
Looks like they've released a few for the Sensation on TMOUS site...

Eh, not at all impressed at that price point.
Should be in stores this well or next. It fits well. Very nice product, more than just a silicone case
Just went to a T-mobile store, they do have the T-mobile brand D3O case for the sensation, but only available in pink at this point.

Yep PINK only at the moment, I am hoping too see some different colors.
I find it very odd they would release the pink version first, not selling to many I'm sure. I'll go in and check it out as soon as more colors (black) become available.
So Samsung Galaxy S II is just around the corner, who is going to be getting it (I know i am)??
When i do, for how much do you guys think i should or can sell my sensation for??
HTC Sensation 4G
~About a month or so old.
~No scratches WHATSOEVER (has been in a case since day 1 so it looks new)
~I have BOX and ALL Accessories (Yes even the papers -_-)
~Extra TPU Case
Thanks
I would wait to see if there is any news of the nexus prime coming to Tmobile. You never know lol
Your best bet on figuring out a price for it will be to check craig's list or other classifieds for relevant pricing in your area. It will at least give you an idea about what your competition would be in attracting buyers.
Exactly I wouldnt jump ship for SG2. You might as well get Nexus Prime and get auto updates straight from google.
specs of both phone are really similar, wouldnt know why you wanna jump ship for it. only difference are tw4, samoled, 4.5 inch display, and 1.5 processor but we can oc our sensation easily to that.
I know I am waiting for something better. I just don't see the sgs2 being that huge of an upgrade to justify spending ~$550.

Hey guys I am new on Sensation forum (not on xda, you can see my thanks meter and total post ) and will get my brand new sensation next week.
Do you still love your sensation?
I come from Xperia Neo and want more powerful phone than Neo and i think i got this phone since I dont have much money for one X or Galaxy nexus which is preferrable for me.
Edit: I have my sensation now, use it for one month and love it, so sad some devs moved on but another devs come, now this thread specifically for anyone who want to complain or express how you love your sensation.
I still like but can't say that I love it. After trying out the One X the rose coloured googles have come off. I still much prefer the Sensation for its design (sd card, removable battery, curved screen) but the performance and screen on the One X blows me away.
I like the sensation better than the galaxy s ii. The number of ROMs, the current ICS support, the HTC one S ROMs, (Why get one? ) the overclockability to 1.9GHz, the built in beats audio support, the removable battery and the fact that the housing comes off in one fell swoop(if you phone gets dropped and gets dents, replace it quickly, cheaply, and easily), the ability to multi-boot, and the fact that it's HTC. Doesn't get better than that!

I still love my HTC sensation XE i mean, look at it.. It looks great. What's even better is the support the XDA sensation community gives. The camera's great, its a great phone for gaming, the pixels are just awesome (movies and reading ebooks)
As for the battery life, i get about 21-25 hours a day. But it depends on what custom ROM you use too. Might i suggest you use ARHD ROM as well as Faux Kernel. And also, if you are willing to spend US$30 on an extended 1900Mah Anker battery, go for it.. the battery really helps alot, i have seen some people going over 40 hours on a single charge.
Whatever it is, if you're worried people here stop the support for the sensation, don't be. Its a great phone and once again the community is superb
How did you reach 1.9Ghz???

I sold it and have regretted doing so ever since. Have the SGII right now, but the lack of developer support, ICS, and TouchWiz make me wish I woulda ditched the Samsung instead.
That's exactly why I didn't get the SG 2. It's funny you put up this post. I thought I lost my phone yesterday and was looking at replacements. The galaxy Note is nice with the stylus pen and HUGE screen. But Touch wiz is garbage so nope. Then the just release the One X on Rogers(Canada) and looks wicked with ICS and Sense 4.0, but only 12 GB of usable storage!!! NO SD card slot!!! I ordered a 64 GB card last week cause my 32 GB card is full. Again Nope. Found my phone yesterday...So yes I LOVE MY SENSATION.

Tried my friend's SGII and its fast and never had any lag. But TW is crap like hell, and too much mod stock rom on rom development.
But idk about browsing speed, we luck if we had over 3Mbps here, never had more with any phone.

how come it's cheaper than the Gnexus? I will be getting the Sensation soon and its available online for about 430-450$ + 30-40$ for shipping! When the Gnexus is available for 399$ + 20$ for shipping or so! from where are you going to get your Sensation and for how much?
Sensation sees some strange pricing. When I was originally looking at phones, I was told to wait for a used mint Sensation at the $200 price mark. I did see a few, and missed out on the one or two that were legitimately mint. Found a few that were beat out or otherwise extremely shady (suspect IMEI would be blacklisted not long after the sale, etc). Ended up "desperate" for one and ponied up $250 for it. A shame since the MT4GS is just about identical, except for the small screen and physical keyboard (and assured hspa+21 and supposedly better camera).
In the NYC area, I see like-new ones go for $250-300 all day long, and new ones around $300. I know TMO charges $550 for it BNIB, which is absolutely absurd, given the GNex's $400 unlocked/unbranded price. Even at $300, the Sensation is a bit hard to swallow, since there's "better" phones for not too much more (sg2's and Amazes sell in the $350 ballpark), although those are used.
On the shady shade of things, if you got in contact with someone in the states who was unfortunate enough to get their hands on a blacklisted unit, you might be able to score it for cheap :x
It's absolutely brilliant what HTC did with the battery cover in terms of being able to replace it and get an almost new phone. The only problem is that there's a small bit of trim on the bottom that's not part of the cover. I've got a new cover coming for mine, but that bit is a little mangled.
All in all, coming from a Motorola Triumph, this is the best phone I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Just running it on the "modest" ARHD at the moment, and it's more than thrilling enough. Can't wait for CM9 to hit maturation though. Hopefully by the time Sense love wears off on me and I'm ready to go back to AOSP style.
I do wonder for those on TMO's post paid, if you were to get a used phone, would you still have the remainder of warranty through TMO? I understand they are willing to swap up a G2X to the Sensation for those having severe issues. Would be marvelous, given that the G2X fetches as low as $150 used in my market. Of course, then you're losing out with the expensive postpaid contract anyway (unless they still do EM+ plans).
For $430+shipping, the Sensation is absolutely not worth it, and really, it'd be a no brainer to get the GNex! Especially if the Sensation really is a 14.4 device and not 21.
