The Mrs has a Nexus S that she got from Carphone Warehouse just after it came out. She's overall very pleased with it but cannot get MMS to work.
O2 have no device specific settings and their service desk types are baffled. Various APN settings have been tried to no effect.
Current settings are:
APN - wap2.o2.co.uk
Proxy: 193.113.200.195
Port: 8080
Username: o2wap
Password: password
MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195
MMS Port: 8080

APN type: internet MMS
Has anyone else encountered this problem and has anyone any idea of the resolution?
Cheers!

I could not get MMS to work properly on my Nexus S using the stock messaging app here in the U.S. However, it works perfectly (both incoming and outgoing) when using the free app Handcent. I don't know why, but it does. It might be worth trying.
I had issues sending and receiving. T-Mobile said the issue wasn't on their end. Samsung had me do a soft reset, pull the battery for 30 seconds and and reboot.

Looking for some help from the experts (AT&T support unable to solve)... on 2/25, I upgraded my 2.1 JH7 to 2.2 KB1. I re-rooted using SuperOneClick 1.7 and have the usual suspects of root apps (TiBu, RootExplorer, CacheMate,SQLite Editor adbWireless, etc). Upgrade went off without a hitch (or so it seemed). All my apps, settings, files were there..... but 2.2 was extremely laggy (screen freezes, scroll freezes, etc). Then, I found MMS was not working. I cannot receive or send MMS messages. Got on the horn with AT&T support, they tried a few things and sent test MMS messages... after about 10 minutes, they came through and suddenly all my pent-up MMS messages came in and went out. Thought that was easy... then, about 30 minutes after hanging up with AT&T, same thing... incoming MMS say "downloading" and outgoing MMS say "Sending"... been that way for past 24+ hours! Anyone have issue sending/receiving MMS with 2.2? Here are my APN settings:
Name: ATT WAP
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
User Name: <not set>
Password: <not set>

MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: None
APN type: internet+mms
These are the AT&T default APN settings... any help/suggestions greatly appreciated. Thx.
** SOLVED ** Turns out the issue was the combination of Official 2.2 and JuiceDefender. JD is a battery saving app which manages when all the radios (WiFi, 2G/3G/4G) are activated or deactivated. When at home, I have JuiceDefender use WiFi (not 3G) so have to either disable JD or toggle 3G when I remember, to be able to get MMS media. As soon as I leave my WiFi area, JD turns on 3G and MMS messages come through that way too. Posting for anyone running JD (with UJ) and has issues sending or receiving MMS.
really have no idea whats going on, i used my phone like normal today running darky rom (port)
(yes i have an infuse 4g) and now my internet wont work at all, a few days ago i got a text from att saying that i was in the top 5% of internet users orsomething.
(i dont do any tethering, but i stream pandora all the time). i checked data at the time i was at 5gb.
i checked again now and im at 5.5 gg.
i thought that because i had an iphone 3g previously and had a grandfathered data plan that i should be alright.
(when i check data with *data# it says, (data 5519.3 of unlimited)
when i try to go to any website it loads for a long time then says "web page is not available"
any idea whats going on ?

Check into settings---> wireless connections--->Mobile networks--->APN(access point names)
Just check you still got your att apns they may have erased or be bad information.
If that doesnt work go into recovery try a cache cleaning.
If that doesnt work try another ROM, if you still have no data then call ATT.
Hope it solves.

yeah i checked my apn's and they were fine.
as it turns out i checked again the next morning and it was working no problem.
my guess is att was doing maintenance or something lol
Funny thing is my phone was doing the same thing. Must have been maintenance because all my phones weren't working.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
Alright, so after quite some time of messing with things, I'm coming to you guys for help.
The long and short of it is that I can't seem to send messages longer than 150 characters (they just end abruptly for the person receiving at 150, I get a 'message not sent' error), or receive (certain) types of MMSes. Pictures aren't working either. (Edit: I can send pictures after all, but with a massive delay)
I'm running the official AOKP release (build 40), and have swapped between the UCLE2 and UCLF5 radio with the problem remaining the same. Don't know why it should matter, but I'm using InstigatorX's kernel, v2.4d.

I recently flashed to the uclf5 galaxy S3 r4 rom with mohans kernel and I love it. The only problem is the Data connections. The original APN that installed in the flash would connect and had great speeds but would not allow me to send or receive picture messages. Standard text's were ok but no pictures.
I looked around google and the XDA forums and tried a couple of new APN's. I finally got one that would connect and send pictures but it wasn't connecting to 4G LTE only 4G, 1st world problems yes but I wanted the LTE. as I continued searching I managed to get one to connect to LTE and still send pictures and everything was working perfectly, Except now the phone randomly disconnects from all connections with a little circle with a line through it instead of connection bars and obviously no data or phone calls. If I toggle back and forth between APN's I can get it to connect again but it's very intermittent sometimes it'll stay connected for hours other times for just minutes.
I originally had the SKYICS Superlite Rom installed and didn't have any connection issues what so ever and i'm completely at a loss as to what's going on now.

I'm not sure how that last one works but it does.
These settings do work, but again pretty much at will. this morning i woke up and was conected to edge. that was scary...
I'm not sure if its my settings or tge radio or something else entirely. any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've been having the same problem. Everything will work for a few seconds then I get a "null cell state delivered" message when I check logcat. Changing APNs didn't work for me but how are you getting to the APN settings? Every time I try I just get a dialog box that tells me to insert a sim card.
Not sure if this would be the correct place to put it but I recently switched to Cricket since their 10 gb plan was hard to pass up. On straight talk MMS never worked so I was hoping switching over would of helped but it didn't. I even flashed my phone to Insert Coin and still got nothing. I still get the generic failure message. I'm currently using this APN

Still nothing, does anyone have a solution too this? I'm using the AT&T version of this phone is there anything I can do to fix this? My phone is rooted with S-on
