Is anyone else not seeing AT&T as a billing option in the marketplace? I have billed things in the past on other android phones.

My girlfriend got a paper along with her latest bill stating that in July (the 25th if I remember correctly) they will be changing their Regulatory Programs Fee. Has anyone else seen anything about this? And is this one of those things that allows us to cancel without the termination fee, as they are basically breaching our old contracts? I'm wanting to quit t-mobile anyway, but if I can do it for free that'd be awesome
I read about it too....i guess i will try emailing them tomorrow....
Just got my bill today, and noticed this:
Revisions To Customer Agreement
Verizon Wireless is updating several provisions of your Customer
Agreement: (i) If you start a new contract term after July 6, 2011 and
change devices or receive a Service promotion, you may be required to
change to one of our then-current plans, (ii) if you add a new line of
Service and cancel within 3 days, we will refund your Activation Fee. You
can cancel within 14 days without paying an Early Termination Fee as
long as you return any equipment you purchased at a discount from us or
one of our authorized agents, (iii) some third party services and
applications, which we do not offer directly, may involve charges for
which you will be billed, and (iv) iPhones may not work on another
carrier's network, even after completion of your contract term. For the
updates and your revised Customer Agreement, please go to
www.verizonwireless.com.
The part that interests me is:
"If you start a new contract term after July 6, 2011 and
change devices or receive a Service promotion, you may be required to
change to one of our then-current plans"
Now i'm assuming this means VOICE plans, as data is a "feature" and not a "plan", but..... hmm.
Don't really want to lose my unlimited data. Thoughts?
As long as you don't make changes to your current plan, verizon will let you keep your unlimited data. But if you want to add a new line of service, you won't have the option of unlimited data. You will be given a choice of capped data packages, just like anyone else that signed up for new service after July 6.
Unfortunately the days of unlimited data are coming to an end. Sprint still offers "unlimited everything" to new subscribers, but I suspect that will be gone within a year.
What caught my eye was the thing about the iPhone not working on other carriers, even after your contract is up.
While I don't have an iPhone, so it doesn't effect me, I find it interesting because there are other CDMA-based networks that you can run VZW phones on.

Ok, so I have been searching all night but to no avail. Has anyone ran into an issue where their TMo Payment Account showed Expired in the Android Market? When going through my phone, the only option for payment I have is Credit Card. When going through browser It shows Credit Card and "Tmobile USA Expired" which is greyed out. I am current with my bill and have tried both USD and other curancy apps. No luck
Also, I am running new Android Market. Thanks for the help guys
I'm having the same issue. Can't seem to find anything on the google checkout site, android market site, or tmobile site.
Same here. Meh
new market bug perhaps? just checked on my G2 and google checkout is normal (on the old market)
if no one else has reported anything similar, would make sense that it's something with the new market considering most people are still using the old one at this point.
I called T-Mobile, they said it was nothing on there end. Currently talking with android support at Google to figure out what's going on.
Deleting the account from Google checkout, then using the old market to readd the account gives the same result, show the T-Mobile account as expired.
I was able to purchase SBP Shell through my Tmo account, so it seems this may just be an isolated issue

It seems that billing to the Tmo account only works with apps that list the prices in whatever currency your country uses. I was looking closer at the Titanium Backup Pro Key and it says you must use a payment option that accepts charges Swiss Francs. I guess T-Mobile USA only accepts charges in US dollars.
I looked into that but some USD apps I was still unable to purchase in that mannor
Same issue...possibly resolved.
I just ran into this when I was buying SwiftKey X. It advertised for $4.07 from their beta app link, then it was $3.99 in the market on the phone and $4.05 on the market through the pc.
When I went to pay with a card, it told me the total would be £2.48. I guess they're masking prices and not telling customers that it isn't available through carrier billing without the USD being the final choice.
any1 figure out a fix? i wanna buy fpse!
I'm in the same boat. It seems to work about once a month. My bill was paid two weeks ago so it makes no sense. After about two weeks of waiting it'll let me buy the same app that I w3as trying to buy when it said it was expired.
Probably for the past 24 hours, havent been able to 'bill to sprint account'. Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix or workaround while still being able to use the bill to account option?
Edit: I should note that the option is available but always fails.
Thanks.

Maybe they are fixing the system so people can't use bill to carrier as a method to get the app for free by abusing the system. Give it a couple days.

theres a set limit per billing cycle that can be billed to the account through android market.
doesnt apply to sprints digi store for tones or whatever, if anyone actually still buys that stuff.
Edit: Link to source of info
When you purchase an Android application from the Android Market, you can choose to have the cost appear on your monthly Sprint bill instead of paying by credit card at the time of purchase.
There is a $50 limit on the total amount of transactions made to your Sprint bill per billing cycle. This $50 limit does account for refunds processed from the Andriod Market - Any refunds processed will be deducted from the total bill.
I have a carrier unlocked AT&T HTC One X and I am trying to purchase apps through direct carrier billing on a T-Mobile prepaid SIM card. I have $60 remaining in my T-Mobile prepaid account and instead of it going to waste, I am trying to use direct carrier billing to purchase apps for my HTC One X. I don't have access to another Android phone or I would try that first.
I am able to access AT&T direct carrier billing on Google Play but can't access it on T-Mobile. A customer service rep has assured me that I should be able to purchase apps as far as they are concerned. I am wondering if ICS on the AT&T has been modified to lock the carrier into the AT&T-related sphere, somehow. I can use the phone, SMS, and internet with my T-Mobile card on my One X but can't purchase apps through carrier billing - the option doesn't even appear in Google Play.
Does anyone have any experience purchasing apps with carrier billing using a T-Mobile prepaid account? Any suggestions of other things I can try or other ways of using the remaining funds productively? Thanks.
