Similar but there is another version of the device running Android.
Posted from my HTC Evo 4G on Tapatalk Pro!
Noice!! certainly a positive omen
I need this on my myTouch 4G NAO! Lol. Nice find
Awesome! i hope you guys get it working for the HTC HD2. HTC i Love you more then ever...hehe
Thank you HTC! About time!!
@TMartin03 , you should repost this in the HD2 Android section so the MANY devs are aware of it, and can get cracking on an offical[kinda] rom for the HD2.
Is this a full working rom currently in China? How difficult will it be to convert this to an HD2 rom? Any ideas?
Android is running pretty awesome right now on the HD2, but now hopefully it'll be more or less native and perfect!
This is why the HD2 is probably one of the most slept on devices..back to craigslist

It actually seems pretty similar to HD2 files. Then again.. I haven't looked into the files yet.
Zip file seems a bit small though...

Well if you need a tester, count me in, I have two HD2's Exactly for this reason, to test the Sh%t out of everything
I can't wait to see a port for the Desire
And HTC Desire HD of course
And here's to hoping we get it on the Incredible... and eventually the Thunderbolt when that drops.
Wow thanks, I'm checking it out now to see if I can get a port rollin. It sure is small, must be normal sense with 2.3 (not HD sense)? I'll know shortly.

Funny, I'd reloaded that page not 10 minutes ago and the link wasn't there yet.
Looks like it's a patch against the Tegra 2/harmony Android kernel git repository.
The patch file is only 3 megs so shouldn't be too hard to pick through and figure out what's different.
EDIT: lots of typos in patch, can tell a good amount of this code was probably written by Malata engineers, not Tap N Tap.
I see what looks like touchscreen driver code for the "ak4183", though I thought our touchscreen sensor was a custom Atmel hooked up to three capacitive sensors (?). In fact, I think the ak4183 is for a resistive touchscreen, i.e. some of the other Malata models, not in our G Tablet - good news for our friends with ZPads. I also see a touchscreen driver for the at168, which I believe is the Atmel master chip for our capacitive touchscreens.
Also plenty of stuff related to sleeping and waking. I'm sure the CPU governor stuff is in there somewhere. Hopefully we can fix the lag-on-wake issue properly. I'll try compiling everything this weekend sometime.
Also - I see a bunch of places where the 1024x600 resolution is hardcoded into the at168 touchscreen driver, so it looks like enabling higher resolution with alternative LCDs as several people are doing currently might require some hacking of that touchscreen driver.
Release the Hounds!!!!

Word, pershoot. Glad to have you here from the N1 forums. For those who don't know, pershoot has built one of the Nexus One kernels with lots of goodies in it.
The down side is that you will dwarf my lame skills and by the time I get anything useful built you'll have left me in the dust.
Nonetheless, I'm pulling the git repo right now myself, and will at least see if I can get a successful cross-compile this weekend to run on my own tablet to verify that at baseline, it works as well as their pre-built kernels. However, pershoot is likely to have much more success than me at hacking useful stuff into the kernel.
Now that we have the kernel source, how do we get the Ubuntu team to make us a version of Ubuntu?

Well, I'm no pershoot, but I did manage to get a (reasonably) clean build of the kernel built. Those touchscreen drivers throw crazy warnings when they are building. Doesn't inspire tons of confidence. Anyway, my first Android kernel compile. Next step, I'll figure out how to re-pack it into a boot.img and see if it works. I'm an old hat with Linux stuff, but definitely new to Android system internals, so this is slow slogging for me.

Here is a build of CM6 with FM added to it. The only difference is the FM addon. It is the same as the last version of CM6 released.
Install the same way you would cm6. You can upgrade to this with wiping data/cache like normal.

It doesnt actually use bluetooth. Its just that the chipset that does the bluetooth is the same chipset that does the fm radio. So what its doing is enabling the chipset which means bluetooth gets turned on. But the bluetooth signal doesnt actually have anything to do with the fm radio. This is why you have to have a headset plugged in; the phone uses it as an fm antenna.

The app installs and you can log in to your Netflix account, but you cannot play videos, it tells you your device is not supported. If possible we will need to remove the device check.
Doesn't work for me. Just flashes and crashes.
Damn. Just saw the news story about this. I was hoping to come over here and find an APk that worked. Oh well... soon I hope.
I read elsewhere on this forum it has to do with netflix only wanting it on the ARM processors. we may not ever see it on a tegra2 device which is a shame because id use that alot
I wonder if this is any different than the older version i have

My mistake that may be the case but the thread i found the APK pointed out it was specific to caertain phones and processors like from HTC
HTC and Samsung Nexus S according to the list of Netflix enable android devices on the Netflix site.
I tried the .apk on my G2x running stock 2.2. It immediately closes unfortunately.
This was already discussed in the G2x forum a few weeks ago because I posted the APK.... The app is only compatible with Qualcomm chipsets.
Has anyone tried on CM7? They use a different kernel so it may fool the app into working.
I do think it is funny though because originally they said Netflix wasn't coming to the Qualcomm sets because they didn't support DRM or something on a hardware level and looked forward to the Tegra 2 chipsets for their main chipset.
Now the Tegra 2 chipset is out they are all of a sudden saying "Oh we're going to support the Qualcomm chips".
In all honesty it is just them being picky and not allowing streaming. If they wanted to be simple they could just open up their website to allow streaming via Flash.
I got streaming working. Download the attached apk. Backup your build-prop. and edit a new one with these changes:

CONFIRMED... This does work, it breaks swype though. Probably because our swype looks at the build.prop as well. Ill assume it breaks other things as well... BUT IT WORKS GREAT ON 3G! You have to reboot after editing build.prop, then install the apk. Running cm7 nighly 15

Netflix streaming would be enough of a reason to get me trying a nightly rom if i knew how to make this work. I really hope we can get something working on the G2x
Yes. They're already on your phone. Try adding more or updating. Sorry.
Google is selling 10 different apps each day for $0.10 each for the next 10 days. If you clear the cache on your market app you should see the banner
http://www.androidcentral.com/slew-popular-apps-suddenly-are-10-cents-android-market
there are some pretty good apps today. Can't wait for tomorrow:
Great Little War Game
SketchBook Mobile
Paper Camera
Sound Hound
Asphalt 6
Fieldrunners HD
SwiftKey
Minecraft
Endomondo Sports Tracker Pro
Color and Draw for Kids
This is awesome. I have a feeling my /datadata is going start screaming it me
Downloading like crazy

I thought this said 10 billion porno.

Yeah, it told me that Fieldrunners wasn't compatible with my phone, yet I have the same version installed from the Amazon market. Not sure what's up with it.

In order for gameloft games to work with 181, i had to hack my build.prop file up a bit. here is a what i got for it.
if you modify it, then clear the market cache you may be able to get it bought before it is no longer off sale, however if you wipe the device after and re add your account you then should be able to purchase all the gameloft gave that are currently out.

I've taken advantage of this. Amazon has matched as well. Good stuff for the consumers!

EDIT: Asphalt 6 HD is on sale again today. Noticed I was missing an app on my phone so I checked the site and sure enough, it was Asphalt 6 again.
How do I edit that build.prop file?

Why on earth did you post your ENTIRE build.prop instead of just listing what you changed?
what needs to be edited in the build prop

After this is done you will need to clear market cache, and then hope it takes affect quickly, or remove and then re-add your primary account to your phone.
