That one is sold out. Try these:
http://mobile.brando.com/htc-desire-hd_c1378d039

I'd like to get a dock, but I'm weary about a case fitting in it... something tells me case+dock=fail.

Will any of these docks automatically place the phone in desk clock mode?
-JAE

Here is the dock I use.
http://www.bracketron.com/products/universal-usb-power-dock
Very well made and pretty durable. I use this in a semi truck and have had no problems with it. Instead of ordering from the site though, just stop by a flying j or pilot truck stop, if you have one near you. They sell this dock for 24.95.

Using the CM barely there case for the DHD, really barely there, probably the slimmest case. Might wanna check it out if other cases dont fit on dock

hmm, didn't see any nice phone docks there, some very odd looking ones on that brando.com website.
Any nice phone docks that I can sit my phone in while at work ?
Even if it's not a perfect fit, something I can easily adapt with a dremel, and good intentions
I know there's a million iphone "media" docks, something similar is what I am looking for.
Also cheap would be good.

http://www.4u-mobi.com/onlineshop/online_shop_detail.php?pid=5657

Is there a dock that will allow docking with a case on the Inspire?

thanks MarkPharaoh, exactly what I was looking for.

Mine's in the mail (free shipment from HK = not the fastest). If this thread is still active when I get it I'll make a post.

Well, I just got one, and it looks and feels just as good as it does in the picture. Comes with a decent cable+adapter and the phone fits nicely. However, I am assuming because of how it's built and covers the battery cover I lose all signal within a minute of putting it into the charger...very disappointing.

Does the Inspire know that it is docked when you put it in the dock? Does the clock app start?

It knows that you're docked, but it doesn't automatically open the Desk Clock application. I'll try to remember to post some pics tomorrow. It looks good, but is a finger print magnet.

No experience with that mount, but some research to share:
That Kensington you listed opens to 2.75" max, which is right at the width of the Otterbox case. The height is listed at 4.1", so the Fascinate should stick off the top a little. IMO, that is a plus if it means the camera can still see out. I'm looking for one to dual-purpose to film video as I drive. My main concern with this one would be how stable it is, since the flexible adjustment will hurt that.
Most universals just don't seem to open wide enough. Another wide jaw option are these:
http://www.arkon.com/Smartphone_Holder.php. But I don't think the camera will be able to see over the high back.
Based on dimensions, I think the clip that came with the Garmin Nuvi 200 series might work. If it does, this opens up a ton of options. Anybody have a Garmin Nuvi 200 Series?
Thanks for the advice, I went ahead and ordered the one I mentioned. I'll post and let you know how it works after I get it

Well, I've been using this car adapter for a few days now. It seems to work pretty decent. I've only used the vent mount. It doesn't cover up the camera or buttons so that's cool. I just wish the samsung car charger was a bit longer. I may try and stretch it out to give me more reach.

I have the Arkon and the camera is not exposed.
I have the Garmin Nuvi 200 but I don't have a case on my phone so can't say for sure if it would work. It looks like it might be a smidgen too big (the clip).
How is the vent mount working out for you? Possible to post a pick of it mounted?
It works fine, it's never fallen. Keeps the phone secure and is very accessible. I'll try to get a pic of my phone mounted in it. My point and shoot died, so i only have my gf's phone which prob. won't be the best pic, but we'll see..

My quick review is this thing is totally worth 30. Holds onto glass like Pam Anderson sucks Chrome off a tow ball.

No case will fit .. there is however a fella on eBay that sells custom made holders for the Desire HD/Inspire 4G with either the Otterbox Defender or Commuter Cases .. only problem, you're going to pay $30 for that holder.
Here is the link for those holders:

Same seller has an adjustable holder. It necessarily looks a little more clunky than the one tailored to the Desire HD/Inspire.
For seven dollars, I think I'll give it a shot.
I would post a link, but I need to go post some more first!
Hit the original link and browse the vendor's store and you should see it.

It arrived and it works. Should fit pretty much any case or phone. Rotates through three hundred and sixty degrees and I can still plug in a power and audio cable. The holding mechanism works quite well. There are two hard "prongs" holding the bottom of the phone in place, and two ratcheting grips on either side that are pushed closed. They have rubber padding. I was concerned they would hold down the volume control but it isn't an issue.
That's pretty cool looking.

Horizontal case for naked G2X?

Is there any horizontal case made specifically for the G2X? I ordered 2 different cases so from from Amazon and they're both too big, you can fit two G2X's in there.
I got Case Logic one from Walmart that fits perfect with no extra space

http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Execu...B8/ref=sr_1_27?ie=UTF8&qid=1304884118&sr=8-27
They both fit horrible, they weren't made for the G2X. You could fit two in there and still have space!
This is the one I have. Phone fits perfectly, no model number but it looks almost identical to the picture someone posted above. Maybe mine was just made a little slimmer?
Careful with magnetic cases. The magnet can cause the phone to do some quirky things. Throwing off the GPS I know is one example.

very nice case. looks good. my only criticism is that the headphone jack isn't available when the phone is in the case
I posted a mini-review of such a case in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1050581. After using it for a couple of weeks, I'm still happy with it. It is exactly the right size for the phone -- neither too tight nor too loose. The only issue with it is that it has a magnetic closure, which puts the phone into car dock mode occasionally. I've used Spider Launcher to mitigate the effects by having it launch Launcher instead of Car Home when the car dock is detected.

S-view cover is actually worth getting

All the reviews I see of the S-view say it is bad, when actually they are reviewing it before it has had a chance to be broken in. When broken in it closes completely, and it doesn't leave marks on the screen when you use a screen protector. I would recommend getting a cheap knock of and see if you like the feel before getting the real one.

I'm pretty excited for it and will not post a review until I let it settle in. I also plan on using it only for when I work or travel. When I'm at home, I'll replace it back to the stock cover.

I checked it out and fitted the white one today at bestbuy, but just couldn't justify spending $40+tax (after pricematch and $10 credit) on a plastic case, maybe if it was leather. I take pics of my toddler a lot, so this case is just not right for me.

I picked up an S-View case when I bought my S4. I do like how it helps to steady the phone when taking pictures or watching my Slingplayer. I use it as a sort of mono pod in my hands. It does remove finger prints on the glass with tge felt lined inside.

I really like the s view option, but I'm not thrilled with any of the cases out there yet. I would like one that properly protects the corners of the phone, and that stay closed if the phone is dropped. So far none of them have those features. I have an s view case (the tridea brand, from amazon) that I'll use until something better comes along.

No, it doesn't. The s view window is over the camera when flipped all of the way over. However, the window can pick up fingerprints, so that's something to be aware of when taking pictures. This hasn't been a problem for me so far, but I've seen posts by others who are concerned about it.
