device information:

Does such a thing even exist?

a possible solution
I Have the same issue, I have trried almost everything out there,
the only thing that can access the phoe is fastboot,
My solution to this problem (which is not confirmed yet) is to update the image with the vanilla image (from megaupload ?d=MW8YLJ1V)
my problem now is that when i run

the customer ID in the image is HTC__037
while my Vodafone Egypt's Magic customer ID is HTC__J45
if somebody can thankfully create a signed image with my customer ID, I'll try it on the phone and i might help

Hi, I think you need a goldcard. I still cant post link yet (8 post rules) so you will have to google "Android Goldcard", the first result from MoDaCo is good.
Just take note to reverse the CID in pairs
AB CD EF -> EF CD AB

Problems with rooting my HTC Magic 32B

Hi I have the HTC Magic 32B and i want to root it but every how-to I've tried failes. This is the last I tried:

The first way failes because i get the message :

I have create a Goldcard with the GoldCardTool by klutsh and i don't know how to continue after this.
The second way failes because when i open the command prompt and type in :

came this message :

When I fastboot my HTC Magic comes this:

[Q] Phone needs an ENG Bootloader

Hi, my phone goes in a bootloop. This happened after running a RUU to go back to stock. Now i can't go into recovery and when trying to flash a recovery it says I need a ENG Bootloader. I've tried flashing a bootloader but it keeps on failing with a signature error

You can't flash ENG bootloader without getting S-OFF first.
You can't get S-OFF without a properly working phone.
So flash the RUU and make it right.

Just try again using the "correct" command that rzr86 posted
