Can anybody give me the stock evo boot screen? I'm taking my phone in and switching lines to give this one to my dad and I'm getting the shift but I dont want the Sprint guy to see a custom boot screen. If not sure I need the PC36.img

Any luck so far, I'd much rather this lock screen.
Seems more logical, since I hold the phone on it's lower half, easy thumb access.
while someone is at it would you mind looking into getting the puzzle lock screen from other Galaxy S devices as well?
I'm hooked on widget locker...You can set it to use the HTC slide screen too...

I finally got around to following the tutorial and getting it to work. Simply flash the attached zip from clockwork.
Just flashed and it works perfectly thanks for this it a needed add on the stock lock screen was pretty lame.

Works and looks great! Great job, thanx.
@bubby - Flashed no problem, works great, thanks!
Worked perfectly. Thanks. Can it do other things besides sound and unlock? and if so how do i add them?
Also anyway i can unlock to open text msgs? like the old one. i do like this lock screen. Just wondering how to customize it.
Works great fot me as well!
Just wondering though, is there anyway to go back to the TW lockscreen after installin the stock unlock screen mod?
Sorry for the noob question but how would I flash this file using clockwork recovery? Would I have to rename this to update.zip or just select install from sd card? I tried the latter and know seemed like it worked by I still get the same default lock screen. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

You must be on a deodexed rom or it will not work, and ill put togethet a zip to flash back soon.

Well tried it. Tried the widget locker. Honestly i dont see what the fuss about this is. it made it so i couldnt unlock to goto text msg when i got a new one or anything. i went back to stock lock screen. ill wait til the puzzle piece lock screen works. Thanks for your hard work tho this lock screen isnt for me.
This thing is fickle as hell for me. I love it, though. Does anyone else have issues with it not actually coming up when using a pattern unlock?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
It works fine for me when using pattern unlock, of corse, tough, i am testing on my rom so mayb e that's the solution? Fair bet either way...

Ok so I have a t-mo branded us sensation and love it but when I boot into stock recovery, the first area with all the options, and try to boot into the actual recovery area I get 2 different icons pop up on screen and have to do a battery pull to get responsiveness back. The icons show a phone with a refresh symbol, then changes to a phone with a a triangle and a ! In it. I was wondering what all that means? I used to have an epic and even in stock settings could get to recovery. So I am kind of worried. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

That's the stock recovery. After you thee the triangle, press volume up and power together real quick. You'll then get the options.

Hey. I was wondering if there was a way to change the Splash Screen on the G2X. I don't mean the Boot Animation. I'm talking about the screen that comes on when your turn on the phone. The all-black one with the LG Logo. I knew how to change the screen on the MyTouch 3G, but I have yet to find a way how to do it with this phone. Somebody please chime in.

So it happened to me, removed wifi calling apk (requires reboot to stop constant force close) and rebooted only to realize that my internal storage was completely wiped. Not upset about it lost some music and a couple of images I can live without, backed up most of the important ones a while ago.
Just curious if it has happened to anyone else with the g2x?
It happened to me once on cm7. I uninstalled swift key and everything froze for about 2 minutes. Then the screen went black.
Battery pulled reboot and it went to lg screen then black. Battery pulled again reboot into recovery nothing would mount or work in recovery. Reboot again and it would only go to recovery.
It wiped my entire internal and fried my 16gb external. I had to nvflash back to stock to get it to work again. External SD card is still useless.

guess I got lucky then, my external is still good. Now I'm backing that one up just in case, I got stuck in the weird recovery issue though as well. either way all is alright I ended up flashing your mod to weapon while I was stuck in recovery lol. Very nice, just in case you come back and see this thread, any chance we can get ICS transitions lol.

Yeah I meant to add them. But got caught up with trying to add lock screens. I will add them in the next update. Not sure when it will be though.

Lol, it would serve you right. I mean, is it LG that's to blame? It is Nvidia? Is it Google, they're the ones who wrote Android, or is it T-Mobile for commissioning the software for the phone to be written as crap? Hardware-wise this phone is pretty good, and the fact that it's nearly impossible to truly brick this think is awesome. And is it even Nvidia or LG that ultimately writes the OS? There is a thread bouncing around about that.
Hey guys I have a mytouch that my friend gave me that was exsposed to water. It will boot up to the splash screen and stay there, it seems almost like software issue. With that being said I was wondering what advice you could give to get it working I'm thinking I could flash a new Rom on there and see if that works, the issue is is that it is still s on and I work more with the vivow is there anyway to to s off without booting and install clockwork recovery any help would be appriciated thanks -golgotha

If he's got insurance send it in... If not find a local cell pnone repair, there on craigslist usually you can find someone to fix it no problems.

Here is a little secret I will let you in on. This coming from experience on fixing phones. Do this.
1st disassemble the phone. You may need a t5 or t6 screwdriver. Don't need to seperate the digitizer from the bezel. Just strip it down so you can access the circuit boards.
2nd get a very copious amount of isopropil alcohol and a small brush. There will also be a part of the main board that has a metal cover over it. Pry those off carefully. Once you stripped it down, brush the alcohol over all of the circuitboards and connections. What this will do is break the corrosion off the circuits. Believe me it is there even though you can't see it. Let the phone sit for about a day so that it can be completely dried.
3rd reassemble and then power up. It should work like it is new.
I did this twice in the last month. Once to a iPhone 3gs (it was my brother's I wouldn't have done it otherwise) and a mytouch 3G slide. Both worked like New afterward.

what is your hboot version? if it is 1.44.0007, have you tried running Revolutionary to S-OFF? i am not sure if it would work tho if you can't boot into the system.
your other hope is to flash the newer stock firmware file, and at least be able to boot into the newest stock ROM. after that you you wouldn't be able to S-OFF, but you could use the HTC unlock tool, and be able to root, and flash ROMs. if it comes to this, try the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508406, dowloading the stock firmware file and flashing it as instructed there.
hopefully this helps ya.
Believe me it's not a software issue. It's a corrosion issue. You can load all the software you want and it will still mock you. The mytouch 3G slide acted the exact same way. Once brushed it with alcohol it worked like new.

yeah, i guess we were writing at the exact same time. i thought maybe it sounded like a bootloop, although you generally don't get bootloops if you haven't rooted and flashed something wrong. and water damage probably wouldn't lead to a software issue.
but anyway, hopefully the device can be made to work again. thanks for the tips!
