the only say that I know of requires some work and would have to use a computer as a pass through device. AND the phone would have to be connect to said PC via the USB cable. Check out Android Screen-Cast if this option is ok. If someone else has a better solution, please chime in.
Does the G2x support DLNA? If so, how do you access it?

Does DLNA do the same as HDMI Out? For example, if I wanted to mirror my phone on tv could I do that?

No it's not quite as good as HDMI mirroring dlna is limited to the way it outputs. Your better using hdmi mirroring. You can't not mirror it like HDMI dlna is more like streaming from one device to another
differnet things

with hdmi nmirroring you can mirror your games or streaming video to the tv. dlna is limited to files on your phone.
Ah, alright guys. Do you have any recommendations for HDMI cables? I need something around 3 feet long.

U have to connect ur phone and tv to the same network, with a wireless N router, I have a G router and it's too slow. Then when playing a video (not youtube, a video file from ur memory card) then click menu our long press the video, u'll see an option play with, and u'll see the name of ur tv and select it

Search for dlna. Your phone will need to act as a dlna server. The ps3 will be able to find it and stream from it.

Make sure your phone is on the same WiFi network as the ps3 and try to disable any computer firewall while you get it running.

I'm sorry im wondering if there's a way to connect the two without the use of a router or computer just phone to ps3 nothing else... Again sorry for the confusion

Edon82, unless you connect them in the same network, you won't be able to stream.
It does not do Bluetooth streaming

Any reason why no router? You could try tethering the PS3 to your phone then running the DNLA server.
