I had the same problem in my house with my ATT U-verse wifi router when a couple friends came over with their iphone and laptops.
I think the U-Verse router has a maximum connexions.
Are you able to connect somewhere else? Have you checked the password for the encrypted WiFi connexion?
Using wifi for this reply. Definitely working.

Tethering with masmovil

Hi guys,
I need your help.

It is the 1gb contract so apn is internetmas.
No pw no user. Ok that works.
But when switching on tethering my win7 PC is connecting as usual but no internet because some problems with the proxy cannot be identified. What is wrong here?
Help please

Try this
OK I tried but no success.
Log error says problem with wifidirect connection.
What's wrong with it?
The other phone does even not see the wlan from the note
When using the standard app I can connect but internet isn't working

Try using tether with other device than laptop, and check whether it works or not
It is possible some problem on laptop side, as many doesn't support adhok connection defalt.

Priniting

I plugged my note in via USB to a printer, but it wont print unless its a Samsung one which seems rather stupid. Is there any way around this? Thanks

It is probably limited by what drivers are available on the Note. You would be better off trying to set up cloud-based printing than looking for a way round the driver issues.
Use google print

Is there anyway to install the drivers? And its not wireless so I don't think it will work with Google

I am not aware of any printer vendor releasing Android drivers unless they have an app in the Play Store. Android is not really an OS intended for printing via a direct connection. I use Google print by attaching a printer to my networked PC.

Can I tether my roku box by connecting to my Gs4 and connect into hdmi

Im not quite sure what you are trying to say but i dont think so
If you mean can you connect your roku to the internet through using your phone as a hotspot? Then yes. Make sure the network is open and doesn't have any extra browser authentications for ease of setup.

Direct streaming w/o router or computer

Is it possible to stream video or pictures from droid maxx to ps3 without the use of a router Or mirrorcast device?

Search for dlna. Your phone will need to act as a dlna server. The ps3 will be able to find it and stream from it.

Make sure your phone is on the same WiFi network as the ps3 and try to disable any computer firewall while you get it running.

Edon82, unless you connect them in the same network, you won't be able to stream.
It does not do Bluetooth streaming

Any reason why no router? You could try tethering the PS3 to your phone then running the DNLA server.
