[Q] Frequently send text messages - Android Apps and Games

Is there an app to send one exact same text message to a particular person like every one hour or two automatically? Thanks

the closest I could find was this http://www.fido.ca/web/content/faq/faq_text_messaging

Tasker can send messages.

Tasker is a bit complicated to me. Is there any simpler program available?

Resent messages

How come when I turn my phone off, people I have been texting will receive messages from me that they have already sent? Sometimes it will be 15 messages at a time. And they aren't messages that werwnt sent before because they come up as sent on my phone and the person also receives them. It typically happens when I turn my phone off, and the people I text the most will receive the most messages. Any ideas? And how can I fix it?

What network are you on, are you rooted, and are you using a particular ROM?
Has this always happened?

I'm on T-Mobile, and no I am not rooted and not on a custom Rom. Im not exactly sure if it has been happening since I got the phone but it has been happening for a good amount of time now

Do you receive notification that the duplicate messages have been sent? Or can you see the message duplicates from your sent messages (seeing the same message more than once)? Finally, are the messages duplicating the same message, or a series of different messages?
Edit: I would call T-Mobile and have them perform an over the air activation to re-establish your tower connection completely. If that doesnt work then have tech support file a ticket. It sounds like your messages are getting "stuck" on the network. Since tickets take 2-3 days to resolve, go ahead and get it started. I dealt with this a lot at my previous job (AT&T), mostly with MMS though.

Are you using the stock messaging app, or a 3rd party app?

Hi, I'm bringing this thread back to life because my girlfriends phone is doing the exact same thing. cmrn89, did Biohazard0289's suggestion fix the issue?
Thanks.

CM10 MMS bug

I keep seeing mentions of MMS bugs in CM10 on the VzW Galaxy S3. I've been running their nightlies for the last week or so and have yet to see any problems, inbound or outbound.
Can someone elaborate on this bug?

I'm currently experiencing two issues with MMS in the 8/23 build. Firstly, I can't send any text that is more than one page long. And I've tried with the stock app, Handcent and Go SMS. And secondly, I would say that roughly one out of every eight texts I send will not actually make its way to the recipient. It will say sent, but it won't actually go anywhere. Not even into some text limbo where it shows up three hours later. Just gone. It's pretty irritating, to say the least.

Oh, also. I can send and receive picture texts just fine. Thought I should mention that.

Swype and group conversations sms

OK two questions that hopefully won't take long to answer. Swype for Droid charge available? Second, I have the capability to start a group conversation by texting multiple people. All answers appear in one thread and everyone can see the other responses(on my razor). My wife(charge) wants to be able to do the same. Is there a way to get that messaging app on my wife's phone? Any other suggestions. Thanks for the help.

1. Thanks
2. It's not only on the iPhone, my RAZR had this also.

go sms has the ability to either send group texts individually or all together as one it's in the settings as far as the stock app goes if it's not in the settings it's not there. I haven't used stock in over a year so I couldn't tell you

Hangouts SMS sent time?

So I really like the SMS integration with Hangouts but it shows received texts by the time they were received rather than the time they were sent. I don't know why anyone would want there. Is there any way to change the behavior?

Not yet. I hated Hangouts' SMS handling, but to each their own.

What's your carrier? What SMS app are you using?
Mabey try using EvolveSMS?

theres an option in the default messaging apps settings for limiting the number of text messages. i changed my limit from 100 to 10000
I'm curious about this. How is it even possible to send 100 sms messages in an hour? Are you sending out one to many recipients? Or just that many single texts? Maybe I'm just old?

i dont text much, barely any at all, but 100 is easy to reach, especially if youre having a good convo. anyways, it counts all texts, both sent and received messages.
I'm unable to find this on hangouts or textra.
For those asking about the carrier, it's an android 'feature' which is really irritating.
I'm really surprised I cannot find any fixes after googling high and low!

I decided to buy Unlock SMS Limit on the app store and it went absolutely wild. It ended spamming a contact the same message 235 times, completely messed up my mailing list and drained my battery.
Can anybody please help?
