[Q] SMS Limit again...

I just switched from the Motorola Atrix 4G Unlocked/Rooted and used several different custom ROMS. When I got this phone I was able to easily remove the SMS limit with elitebomb app....
However....
Yesterday I bought a Samsung Infuse 4g. I rooted and installed elitebomb app the button for removing the limit is grayed out. I am definantly rooted...
Any Ideas?

**** you must really text a lot if you worried about sms limit.

I have 30 to 40 guys that work for me on any given day. I communicate with them by texts...i easy go over 100 in an hour.

SMS limit? make sure that either delete old messages i checked or just not checked at all. if it not checked it will not delete them and that is why it is greyed out. if you check it off it gives you the option to choose after how many to start delete

The SMS limit i am talking about is the amount of text you can send per hour. I am not sure on the Infuse how many it is but the limit on my Atrix was 100, it was easily removed with elitebomb.
On the Infuse I have not been able to remove it at all.

Since when has there been a limit on how many you can send? I text like a monster and have never encountered this demon you speak of.

Messages>Settings>Text message limit
Still...Idk... i have never faced "too much txting per hour" yet xD

The setting you are referring to is how many messages you can keep in one conversation.

Hmm yep still maybe ive never reached the limit p/h... About how many text per hour you can send before they stop you?

I've sent almost 5,000 over half a month if test gives you an idea how much I text , and I've never seen this :/

I've never been limited either, and I do around a thousand every day.

Group messaging on stock messaging app

So I was under the impression that the group messaging feature was somewhat like that of the iphones and I found out that this is not the case. When I tested this feature out by texting my moms iphone and a text free number it came up on my end as a group message and when texted myself back using my moms iphone it came up as an individual message. Im going to go out on a limb and guess that it should not be like this at all. Is this a bug or something? Or does anyone else have this problem?

No one else is getting there group messages pulled into separate threads when getting a text message?

How do TouchWiz users cope with NO group texting?

One thing that kills me about stock touchwiz is the lack of group texting. I don't want to switch to a 3rd party SMS app, but I am thinking that is what I have to eventually do.

Im sure there is a way to load TW messenger to work on other roms. But how many people actually continue to have group conversations thru text?

Group texting like send one text to multiple people? I do it all the time even with mms's

I wish stock mms had the capability, but it's not a huge deal to me because Verizon messages works very well. You can even disable stock and Verizon messages will still work.

Ya Im confused too, touchwiz mms allows you to send to multiple people. I guess they mean keeping it all grouped cause the touchwiz one replies all come in to seperate threads?
If your rooted you can switch out the stock mms app for a aosp one, i.e. themed and stock

it isnt really "coping" when I have never wanted to group text. facebook tells all my friends what i want them to know about...

It drives me nuts when I get those group texts from iPhone users. I love how android does it, separate threads

Thank you. One iPhone user sends you a group text and then you gotta get bugged by every other iPhone user replying to the original sender. One of the most annoying things in the world. Sad thing is, they think it's cool.

I guess it's handy to the sender. I assume they haven't been on the other end though.
Is it even in option on a "stock" android phone. I've had moto, htc and now Samsung, I don't ever remember it being an option.

I can't stand the stock msg app. GoSMS Pro is so much better imo.

It separates the threads to each individual who responds. So if the group is 6 people, I get 6 different texts from 6 different people. HTC never had this problem! Coming from the rezound. Lol

It is standard now on aosp 4.2. I used to think it was annoying, but now after using it with friends, I see why it is useful personally.

It is honestly driving my crazy! I HATE tw does not support this and it is really annoying. A lot of my friends use group messaging and If i were to reply to the messages being sent I would have to reply to each individual person seeing how group messages appear in separate threads for me.

I dont think those links really help. From my understanding the framework has to be changed and it is only fixed in android 4.2 anyways so im not sure those links are to helpful sadly =(

Use a different messaging app if you don't like the stock.

Ok I have a question. I tried using GOSMS and When I tested out the group messaging feature my friends had told me that they had gotten the message as an individual message towards them and that it did not appear to them as a proper group message. Is there a certain feature inside gosms that you have to have checked in order to get this to work properly?

Yes it is somewhere in settings for the app.

Well yes I have and I honestly could not spot a thing about group messaging. I could of easily missed something seeing how I tend to do that at times but I checked several times and still was un able to find a setting related to it.

Gmail doesn't like sending attachments

Does anyone else have issues with Gmail not sending attachments, particularly pictures and videos? I've always had this issue across multiple phones/ROMs/carriers, and it's very frustrating. The only solution I get that works is to reboot my phone. What does that mean?
I've tried over WiFi and mobile internet connection. Both just sit in my outbox until I restart the phone.
Currently on Liquid Smooth 2.8 (official) paired with the latest ktoonz kernel. Latest version of Gmail.
Ideas anyone? Anyone else experience this?

Wow, I'm the only person with this issue?? I thought it would be much more common.
It's very annoying to take adorable videos of my six month old and not be able to send them to anyone reliably.

You're definitely not the only one bud, I've had it happen to me. I gave up on it since I noticed it wasn't working regardless of what I did to Gmail. For me, I realized it would be easier to transfer it to my computer and send rather than to mess around with the Gmail apps limitations. It wasn't pressing enough for me since I don't send files from my phone via email.

is it only attachments that don't send? if they sit in outbox go into your app list and wipe the data and cache for gmail..I usually have to do it after I restore a ROM..I've sent 10mg byte multiple pics with no problems...

The other day I tried to email myself 8 pics and the message sat in my outbox. I tried rebooting and clearing data/cache nothing worked. I finally got them to send by splitting it into 2 emails with 4 pics each. Maybe a size limitation?

Google hangouts group text messages converts to mms

Does anyone know whether there is a way to send group texts on the new hangouts as SMS rather than as MMS?

Wish I knew the answer to this.
Just got my first bill on my new contract only to find that the 48 messages I sent to give people my new number were sent as MMS.
Turns out that as soon as you as more than one contact to a text it gets changed to MMS.
Not only did I get charged, I also found out that a lot of people's phone's don't even receive MMS so it was a complete f**k up all round.
Google now owes me £12.
