VOIP calls with native Android dialer - Android Apps and Games

Hello All,
Is there any way to make strictly VOIP calls with the native XDAndroid dialer? Such as with the VOIP setup utility that you can add to WinMo that lets you designate a voip server? I have an running asterisk server that I have setup to Google Voice?
I do not see any setup possibilities in the phone settings to designate "VOIP/wifi when data is not available"?
I could not even get Fring to download to my newly setup XDAndroid HTC Touch Pro (CDMA) phone. has anyone else had probs downloading Fring?
Thank You,
Barry

voip for windows mobile?

is there any good voip apps for winmo 6.1? i talk internationally alot and need something that i can use to call that maybe just uses data. also anything cheap for international messaging?
hello,
nimbuzz got a VoIP client integrated. you can use their account, or your own...
Moved as not software release.
I believe Skype also has a winmo client, though it was recently discontinued, but it should still work with their prepaid international long-d service.

VOIP

I have an account with Packet8 and would like to use the SIP feature on my fuze. I have tried using the SIP config settings but nothing works. Packet8 says it's currently only available on iphones.
sip server vo.packet8.net port5060

VOIP

Are there any new "easy" VOIP solutions for Android besides Skype since it is only available on VZW?
Anyone????
i used fring and it served me well while i had a hero
The ones that I've personally tried are Fring, Nimbuzz and Sipdroid.
Fring: Voip works on sip, google talk, msn and skype
Nimbuzz: Voip works on msn and skype.
Sipdroid: Sip only
A search in market with the term "sip" would give a tons of other results.
Is anyone using any that have their own dialer, can accept inbound/outbound calls over WiFi or 3G and don't require configuration of SIP? Ie., they are their own sip client.

Help with Windows Mobile SIP VOIP

I honestly have NO idea where this should go, so I'll put it in this, the most relavent-looking place, and let the mods deal with it if I am proved to be wrong
Anyway. My friend owns a SIP VOIP server, allowing one to connect to it through teh internet and then dial out, recieve calls, or join conference calls. I am using a SCH-i760 with WinMo 6.1, so the built-in VOIP is non-functional/ not present, and I downloaded some cabs that failed to enable the integrated SIP client. No, Fring does not work on my phone for some reason. The only client I have been able to get working is SJPhone, but it is AMAZINGLY clunky, does not save my password/autologin, and I would like to be able to use the built-in Windows Mobile dialpad/answerer, and missed-call functionality.
Grateful to anyone who can help me here. The reason I'm wanting this is because I'm a money-strapped teen who can't afford Verizons high data services (and i can't find out an easy way to unlock this phone) but still wants to be able to have a 'cell number'.
Thanks,
Tandyman

Functioning sip/voip app for XDAndroid

Hello All,
Does anyone have suggestions for a good sip/voip app for XDAndroid?
I use SipGo under WinMO and works perfect on my HTC Touch -CDMA- phone.
I have an asterisk server setup at home that uses Google Voice as the trunk,FYI.
I have tried Fring, that has no provisions for entering an server address. Sipdroid hanged bad. The closest I have come is CSimpleSip,,,but only works on my lan. Will NOT work outside of lan. As though it is not able to traverse nat, possibly? This same scenario happens when trying to use the native sip client under WinMo. Will work on lan but not out on the internet
Thank You,
Barry

Sipdroid works great for me. I tried CSimpleSip but it killed my battery. Check the Android Market for more Sip Clients, but those two were the best IMO.
