G tablet dock is not recognizing the ethernet connection; no lights (cable works on pc). Running TnT Lite 4.1.0 and understand that Roebeet added capability in 3.1.2 to enable the port that was tested. Anyone have any ideas for me?
I have it working with TNTLite 2.2. It was being finicky with me earlier so I shut down the tablet while in the dock and re-started it, voila: Internet!

Just a heads up - I just got a dock care of one of the XDA members here (their donation to me - and thank you, btw). This is the zPad dock. My tests were all done on TnT Lite 3.1.2.
HDMI "just works" - plug it in and the output will show up on your HDMI output (in my case, it was a TV). Sound is also passed through, but seems to have a slight lag.
Ethernet "just works" - plug it in and the device is on the network. I'm not sure if there's a way to disable it, other than pulling the Ethernet port out.
Finally, the USB port also seems to work - I tested it with my USB keyboard. So, it seems like the TnT devs already built the kernel / UI with the dock in mind. I haven't tested the VEGAn build, yet.
EDIT: Just tested VEGAn 1.0.0 beta 4. USB / Ethernet / HDMI all seem to work. In the case of VEGAn, I actually tested HDMI off my PC monitor (which happens to have some cheapo speakers on them) and there's no audio lag. Perhaps it's something device specific, or cable specific.
EDIT2: Ethernet is now failing on VEGAn. I guess I spoke too soon.
Thanks for the tests. As for Ethernet, I wonder if u need to disable the wifi on the gtab when using the Ethernet on the dock?

More Ethernet testing - it seems that it's a DNS issue of some sort. IP ICMP tests definitely work.
Does HDMI out work without the dock being powered?

Yes, LAN is working. It appears you must boot Tablet with LAN connected and tablet in doc for it to recognize it.... I say recognize it, but when you launch browser you get a notice box that says page can not be displayed due to no connection.. but you just check ok, the box goes away and you are online.

HDMI and LAN require the doc to be powered.
Can we get a link to the dock you bought?
Thanks for the confirmation! Looks like I'm going to return this and get the elocity just for that HDMI port...

Interesting that I can use the internet, I can retrieve my comcast email, but I could not run my exchange email. When I would refresh it, it just sat idle. when I resumed my wifi connection, it immediately downloaded my messages.
The LAN does need some work here by the Devs for sure. It also stopped for some reason and I had to reboot to reconnect it.
Hi,
Since Prime 1.6 came out with the support for Xbox360 controllers that was added by Asus, I have been trying to connect my Wireless Gaming Receiver to my Transformer, so I can use my wireless controllers. However, everytime I connect the usb dongle to any of the dock's usb ports, the TF crashes and gets stuck in a reboot loop.
Has anyone else tried connecting his/her Wireless Gaming Receiver on his/her Transformer? If so, what is your experience? Does the same happen or does it work? Also, stock rom or custom rom?
Thanks for any info.

Hi there, I've seen some issues reported with wifi and HDMI, however, none that seem to match the symptoms I've got. Famous last words...
I have two Asus eeePad Transformers. One is at 3.2 and the other recently updated to 3.2.1
I have a mini-HDMi to HDmi cable plugged into my HP monitor via an HDMi hub as follows:
- initially a direct attach to the monitor gets a cable fault on the monitor
- via the hub and nothing else activated, HDMI "bounces" between connected and not
- Powering on my DVD player into the hub, gets HDMI working a treat.
From looking at other posts, maybe I need a different cable, anyway that;s not the issue here, just history.
One of my TF101's was updated to 3.2.1 Now that device has issues with HDMI connected. It took me ages to debug this too:
- If HDMI cable in use, WiFi "stalls/stops". e.g. web pages don't load, WiFianalyser shows no signals etc.
- When screen saver kicks in and HDMI turns off web page loads complete
Other TF101 on 3.2 is still fine.
TF101 at level 3.2.1 was connected to the charger with no difference.
Any help greatly appreciated as I have to fiddle quite a lot to use HDMI now
No problem on my TF with WiFi when HDMI connected. I watch Netflix all the time while connected to TV via HDMI cable. I have a B60 model on 3.2.1 .
Thanks nonpaq, seems like I need to know more about the level of support with the cable etc. Good to know it's not a solid problem.
Problem with hdmi and wifi
hello,
i have same isuue when hdmi connected.... wifi go away, not all the time, but its happen specially when whatch youtube movies .....
I have the same problem. I Use the revolver-rom (3.7).
I had the same problem , and i had change the canal of the wifi , and all ok
I'm on the stock ROM and have the same issue on 3.2.1. Seems to be intermittent - Works some of the time. I have noticed that the Wi-Fi signal always looks strong but web pages won't load either. Other posts seem to suggest that you need a 1.3 HDMI cable. I have a 1.3a (whatever that means)
Hdmi disables wifi
Same here. Have a Tf101. Updated to ICS two weeks ago. A week ago i bought new headphones noticed the left earphone not working. Tested with other headseats same issue. Did a factory reset, same issue. This week whenever i plug in the HDMI the internet connection slows to unusable.
I think its all hardware related. Time to send it back to the manufacturer and pick up that IPAD 2 I was offered today.
Hi!
I've got a usb - lan adapter from Deal Extreme (http://dx.com/p/usb-10-100-rj45-ethernet-network-adapter-dongle-2797) to use my wired connection from work on my tablet.
What happens is when i plug it up, the led on the adapter lights up and keeps blinking, but the tablet doesn't recognize it and does nothing.
The ethernet menu doesn't show up on configuration page and the tablet can't connect to the network.
This is on Revolution HD 3.2.1 and stock kernel.
Any help?

I just got a combo Bluetooth trackpad keyboard to use with the shield tab but only the trackpad works when connected through bluetooth. If I connect it through USB it fully works. I'm on shield 5.2. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
