So, just go one of those P10AN01... Just got it here...
It's lighter than i thought.. A little more than my Gtablet.
So i think this is a Vega Clone, or the OEM project of them all
On the info it has:
Model: harmony
EC version: 0.0.0
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9_P10_v1.06_20101126_STD
Compilation: harmony-eng 2.2 FR91 20101122.174855 test keys.
It has a camera, hmdi, standard usb port, micro sd card (not included), 512mb space. Does not have mini usb, so im gonna try connect it to the PC using the standard usb port.
Main question: is it possible to install any of this roms???? Vegan???
Any ideas?
Very interesting tablet you have there
I can almost guarantee none of the ROMs on here will run quite right or at all on it because the insides will surely be different. Also the connection options are different. You would either have to ask XDA for its own development section or hope one of the devs on here happens to get one or just do your own work.
Good luck!
hope that's not the case.
as far as i know this shuttle is another clone of the same OEM that advent vega or our gtablet...
Im also trading some info at modaco and some guys over there installed with no problems the very same roms... i mean, Vega Rom and then MCR
I dont know tech details, but i thought vegan rom could work.. well.. was hoping to.. ehehe
You could open the tablet and see if the internals look the same as ours
Or just flash the ROM and find out. If someone else has done it then I assume they would work
im trying now to install the modaco custom rom...
but at the moment im having problems connecting to a pc. LOL
this one brings only a standard usb port... Im trying to figure out if it's something to do with usb mode... read some things about this feature in vega...
that did not happened in my gtablet...
ehehe
wish me luck...
anyway, for moderators, didnt know if this was the correct place to place this question, but since this is a gtablet/vega clone...
anyway im gonna keep post my sucess here in case anyone appears with another shuttle... it's hard to get a gtablet in europe (i got very lucky), so maybe shuttle will appear
i'm curious to know where you got it?
I got it at an ebay seller... a company there that had several.. think they still have some...
btw, update:
i was able to easily flash vega stock rom on it... now im trying to install Paul Modaco r7 rom...
it should be no problem since it has the same specs has the Vega.. And as far as i was told, all this tablets are P10AN01 rebrand... looks like this one was the OEM version. It does no have a brand on it... We are guessing it's the shuttle version cause of the grey frame it has
ok.. it's done...
I can confirme.. P10AN01 is working with Modaco r7 rom...

i just started browsing this site a few days and am very impressed with the whole community..
anyway, i just swapped out my samsung epix for an htc fuze and love the phone so far. I've already succesfully removed the at&t tab, fixed the small mms issue, and changed the default device.home.
thats apperently the the tip of the iceberg as far as customizing this phone goes. I am now interested in a different rom. I've noticed a lot of good things about the energyrom 2.0/3.0 and am very interested but also hesitant to flash my phone since i only just got it and dont want to void any warranties.
my quesions;
1. whats the latest energyrom 2.0 build? (maybe give me a dl link)
2. does the rom come with a bunch of apps im not gonna use?
3. Do i need to flash the radio before/after the rom or at all?
4. and which radio is best?
tia, im looking forward to learning more as this phone will do until i get the touch pro 2 or whatever comes next.
edit: i do realize there is a wiki and have been studying it, i've also seen the rom flashing for noobs section and have a rough idea that hardspl is a failsafe should anything go wrong
I'm just going to say that you need to find the answers to your own questions.
Start here.

Welcome to forums
Energy ROM is great!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536751
im still iffy on going to a 6.5 rom cause i guess its still a beta version on winmo (i think) so i was more thinkin on 6.1, i dont need newest just something different from stock but stable as well.
i was lookin at this list (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Raphael_Cooked_WM6.1_ROMs) and noticed energyrom 2.0 build 41609 was the newest but the thread link doesnt work.
i clicked the energyrom 1.0 build 32609 thread link and it brought me to a thread for energyrom 1.0 build 41609.....is that the same as energyrom 2.0 build 41609?
i also looked around and noticed the radio is untouched with just a rom flash so ill leave that alone for now. thank you for showing me how to use google anyway.
I am using 6.5 EnergyROM. It's very stable. Try it. The radio in my signature really works well in Northern California.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536751
aight, i think i will. thanks again for the info.
i flashed the rom to the energy 6.5 rom and am pretty amazed at people are willing to do for free. now ive only messed with it for about an hour but am loving it.
the only thing im worried about is how high the memory usage will go and how the battery life is affected..
Alright so it's been a couple of weeks and anyone can see that the Nexus is casting a shadow over the new MyTouch so it's probably not going to get much attention from Cyanogen. We can still use his roms however we lose touchscreen support. Actually, we can use pretty much any rom as the old MT3G and G1 can use but we can't use the touchscreen.
What I've tried was pulling the /system/usr directory, flashing a CM rom and pushing the directory back but it still didn't make any difference.
I've tried flashing the Cyanogen ROM then flash the boot.img from the Fender ROM but I forgot that the current SPL (1.33.0013) is locked. Another obstacle. So I replaced the boot.img in the CM rom with the Fender and of course it didn't work. I'm out of ideas... but I'm far from being a dev. But there are a lot of you smart guys out there. Has anyone broken any ground on these devices? Now that the original MyTouch is obsolete it's only a matter of time that the popularity of this device will grow since the MyTouch (original) is more popular that the G1 to date.
In conclusion I see two options from here:
We cook a custom MT3G 1.2 ROM from source (whereever that could be found).
We work together to discover a workaround for this touchscreen issue to allow us to use CM ROMs (perferred).
So far the only ROM for the new MT3G 1.2/Fender is an odexed stock rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623141 (thanks CursorDroid) and the only method of rooting is by goldcard methoddiscovered by Crypysmoker.
If there are any others can you please post them.
I would really like to see the development for this device take off and I'm sure that it will eventually. Themes, kernal mods, custom roms, tethering, overclocking, a2sd, etc and I'm sure that I'm not alone.
Thanks.
I would love to see this phone get some attention. I call it my poor mans nexus
Has anyone tried adb pulling the touchscreen kernel module from stock and inserting it into a modded ROM to see if it even loads?
/system/lib/modules only has wlan.ko
It looks like the driver might be tied to the kernel so a new kernel is needed

LMAO!! Even though I don't have one and don't intend to get one cause I'm satisfied with my original MyTouch, ROM development is always encouraged. the more ROMs, the better!

Unfortunately, the more ROMs the more confusion.
Now that we have two different MyTouch verions (not including the 32a/32b for the original) this is going to get VERY confusing. It already is. Even if you use "1.2" people are going to wonder if that's the ROM version or the phone version. Maybe MT3G2 or something.

And thus we need a dev. LOL. Unless someone can tell us what controls the touchscreen input. That might give us a step in the right direction.
I'm still hoping for Cyanogen ROMs on the Mytouch 1.2.
Lol since im the one who even discovered the pain staking rooting process ... omg such a pain... I felt the need to comment.
I just today started using my fender over my G1 because Criffmon (however the hell you spell it) came out with the themed stock rom. It looks perfect.
But the reason for no rom yet is the kernel tied into the new touchscreen drivers and 3.5mm jack. There is a whole new touchscreen which is why it doesnt work when u load other roms.

Yeah that's the rom that I used too... maybe i got my links confused.
That rom is odexed. I managed to de-odex the apps but I can't figure out the framework. I would like to add things like the modified browsers, dialer, contacts, mms app, etc. But I am unsure if it can be done because of the odex.

wow that looks sweet!!!...
So according to tmonews the MyTouch 1.2 is sold out and anyone interested will have to wait until this Spring to pick theirs up.
Then I noticed an interesting tweet from Haykuro:
"just realized something. The Nexus One and the N900 are amazing phones and a whole bunch of people have it but you NEVER see anyone with it."
So let's get this straight... the newest MyTouch is sold out and all of the devs (like Cyanogen) are rushing to develop firmware for a device that isn't anywhere near as popular. Meanwhile... what has been accomplished with the new MyTouch?
What's wrong with this picture???
Has anyone made any progress at all lately?
there's loads of things wrong with that. but sadly when your a gifted developer you have the right to develop for whatever device you want, even if loads of people won't be using it.

I understand all that but my point is out of the hundred of thousands of devices sold there isn't ONE person out there that tried to develop a rom for it and share it? There are over two dozen people (at LEAST) in this forum that has the phone and not one of them possess the skills to at least figure out how to use a CM rom on the device? Really? Why is that so hard for me to believe?
I'm not saying that I can do better because I know that I can't... but I also don't have any coding experience either. It would appear that all the T-Mobile customers with coding experiences decided NOT to buy this device for some reason. Or they decided to buy it... but not try to improve on it in any way.
You know that if Haykuro or Cyanogen had the phone we'd be on the twelfth rom version by now. C'mon devs! I'm still using my G1 if I want to show off the power of Android. I want to retire this device already.

No no.. You have it a bit wrong. Wes and Ctso were/have been working on it trying to get the kernel into Open eclair.
The main problem is those 3 drivers we need for the touch screen and 3.5 jack seem to be a super pain in the ass to extract from the current kernel to push into another or build a new one all together. Basically, the drivers can be seen, but not used.
ALL 32a roms will boot on the fender/mytouch 1.2, I have tried literally 10 pages of them.... Bu the moment it looks for a touch screen, all it sees is the track ball and defaults to it. YOu can fully run other roms, but you cant touch. They are trying lol, But were basicly gona have to deal with criffmon's themes for now since 2.1 will be on us in the next few weeks. Supposedly, we are getting the full 2.1 since these are 32a boards.
People are trying, But think of this as a first, NEW release in a long while.
I mean hell, it took me 3 days just to figure out how to root it, when the nexus 1 took maybe a few hours with ways already known.
It will come, be patient. The moment I get a working kernel I will let everyone know.
Hey Crypysmoker!!! Thanks for all the hard work on this!
It's good to know there are people working on this device.
Hey guys I'm in the process of getting myself a G tab. and i want to get into the accessories part for the G tab but I guess i cant get into it with out posting atleast 10 posts. so hear i am let me know how the tablet is working for you and things you've done to it!
Thanks guys
I'm also working on my post count .
I've been experimenting with flashing different roms and usb devices. I've been amazed at how well it plays flash.
For G-Tab accessories follow the link http://electroniccrap.com/store/
it's where you would have winded up anyway going through the market forums
I recommend getting it, after you install a custom rom it is a great tab for the price. Angry hires is amazing on it as well.
rom
yeah that is going to be the first thing i do with it is flash rom and some kernals on it, i've seen how crappy it seems to run with the default os on it. so i'm excited. i'm hoping to get a few more things for it like a dock and keyboard which will be cool. do you guys have any good docks?
hey guys, i just got myself a nexus s (switched from a captivate, to galaxy s 2, then to nexus s) and was looking into flashing the ICS port. I had done some reading about locked and unlocked bootloaders, so i wanted to know does it matter whether the bootloader is locked or unlocked if i were to flash the ICS port? i ask because i know there are specific roms for each bootloader in the android development.
also another question, if anyone here could give me some feedback on the daily use of the ICS port, whether they are happy with it. i've watched a couple youtube videos of the recent port and it seems to work quite well, but i wouldn't mind some feedback on it first. lately ive been running MIUI, so im content just using that if the ICS port isn't at that stage yet.
thanks for any input
You didn't do much reading if you don't know the bootloader needs to be unlocked to flash a custom recovery which in turn lets you flash custom roms.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
i guess i may be wrong, but i had read this thread and figured it wasnt necessary
[GUIDE] Root & recovery WITHOUT oem unlock & wipe (2.3.2 & older, plus now 2.3) --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931865
i realize that its for the lower versions of 2.3 but thats what it's running right now. whoever owned it before hadn't updated it. but either way that answers my question, so ill unlock it
in terms of the usability of the ics ports. I've been using Drew Garen's ports for about two weeks now. Extremely usable and stable. Its almost impossible to tell its an sdk port. His current beta 10 has everything working except for bluetooth and a slightly inaccurate gps. He said that he got a true ics rom working using the galaxy nexus dump so that should be released soonish.
Very good port indeed. However, Im having trouble to make whatsapp work properly. Contacts never shown in the app.... anyone know how to solve this?
thanks for your input guys. i did go through and read quite a bit of pages through the rom thread (worked my way from the back forward), and it seemed like it should be good enough for me. i don't really ever use bluetooth, and gps occasionally, so i should be able to manage with it. and i do use whatsapp, so ill install it tomorrow and see if i figure any solution out to your problem jpvalenz
I need to develop for Android 3.0. I need a way to test the apps I am creating. I need a way to run Android 3.0 as I plan on having that be the minimum version of Android I want to support.
Also, I bought this device for the fact that it was the first Android 3.0 tablet in existance, so it is therefore the oldest (but still not slowest, surprisingly) device I need to develop for. If I need to run a version of Android closest to Android 13 as possible, I would have just purchased an Asus ROG Phone 6.
Every time I try to search for a way to downgrade this tablet, I just don't find it. I try searching for this device's stock ROMs, but I can only find the latest official stock ROM, which is Android 4.1, which I do not need.
Also, can someone just post updated links for everything we need to root this tablet? It looks like some of them (like the Motorola USB drivers) are broken.
I eventually did manage to find an old stock ROM for this tablet that makes it run Android 3.0 again! Looks like my first issue is solved.
Unfortunately, I ran into another issue, I couldn't find a charger, I bought some barrel chargers that were supposedly for this device, but they don't actually plug in. I hate those proprietary barrel chargers so much right now!
I see you already found it, but in case anyone else needs old files, many of them are in the dev threads. These ones still have many active links for the Wingray model.
