AFAIK, no. The kernel doesn't have the support compiled in. I'll be happy to be proved wrong though ...
I think that this is future in 2.2 kernel... We are with .29 kernel (2.1) with some addons to support few 2.2 futures.
hope there r updates support swap frm dexter

Is there any Gingerbread for Huawei U8500. I found just Froyo and some topic about Gingerbread for U8150.
Probably not, because not many people have this phone.Maybe no one has tried to compile it and port the drivers.
I`ll hope that there is one somewhere

The SK4G's UI is touchwiz & all other android's are different , & there's no source of GB / Froyo leak so CM7 can't be worked on but if i was you i would come in my thread All-in-one , there's tutorial's for root , CWM , Kernal & Custom ROMS so it would make it feel way better & faster & once we get LAGFIX it would double in quadrant .

I'm glad to see the sole purpose of your phone is increasing your quadrant scores instead of telnet/remote terminal/MMS/SMS/***** slaying.
Just a general question here. Where did the Bravo ROM come from? The original post said it was a Chinese ROM (i think), but is it a new proprietary build like MIUI? Or is it a port of the Motorola Bravo 2.2 ROM to the XT720? Or something else entirely? Anyone know the history?

I don't have a lot of the details but this is what I think I know: It's a port of 2.2.1 that Motorola released for the Motoroi XT720 that's developed on a Chinese message board. I don't think it is related to the Bravo phone. The 2.2.1 Motorola released for Motoroi XT720 is very specialized for Korea, so it takes quite a bit of work to internationalize it. From what I understand WanHu and Bravo both came from Chinese message boards. Beyond that I don't know the lineage. Brianlili's done a great job and continues to do a great things with his ROM, IMHO. Dexter's old hijack is in there so it may have roots eons ago from his minimalist stock22korean.zip port (or possibly not). (Dexter initially worked off of the Motoroi XT720 ROM but hit a wall early on and switched to Milestone A853 as a base for his port)
Hi,
Can i ask how to do a swap on this bravo rom?
I have done swap on cm6.3 which was pretty straightforward. But bravo doesn't seem to support swap. I have tried fj 's boot.img boot5.img...
Thanks for the help.
Hello,
I've got a Wopad V7+ tablet, it's a 2.3 tablet ( cortex A8 processor ).
Recently, Wopad's team released ice cream sandwich for this tablet.
Unfortunatly, the touchscreen is not working, and the touchscreen driver is in the kernel ( witch is non-open source )
So my question is, can i use the gingerbread kernel to run ics ?
i know how to built a kernel, use ADB etc ...
gingerbread kernel's sources are here :
https://github.com/mikeNG/haipad-m8-kernel-2.6.35.7
( haipad is pratically the same tablet )
Thanks for your attention, and excuse me for my english ( i'm french ! )

It's not that you cannot run ics on GB kernel.. An currently using ics on my galaxy s using GB kernel.. But problem is no video recording, no hardware acceleration, n many such problems..
Also you will have to back port all apps to make it compatible.. Which is tedious job. But if you think you are capable of doing it, it's worth a try.. ;-)

Thanks for the answer !
So there are no way to "adapt" the gb kernel for ics ?
I know everything will not works properly but i'd like to try
Thank you very much !

USB-OTG support is not there by default ..and for that you need custom kernel ..like sebastian's kernel check in development section for his kernel ..and general section for his guide (you need a Y cable though ..as it needs extra power supply too )
