There are some lock screen mods here
If you find any more let me know I'll add them to that list.
The leftside of my screen lags in landscape and i wonder if its hardware or software related?

Please specify what ROM and kernel are you running... as that's most likely what the issue is related to. And what you are seeing is referred to as "screen tearing"
And as they will tell you, this thread should be in Q&A
I recently saw where u can type out a custom message on the home screen. I' types in a word hopefully to change it. And it doesn't. Maybe something I'm not doing?? I'd Like to have a custom message on the home screen and or lock screen. Can this b done?

My daughter dropped her G3 in the toilet
After thorough drying it works more-or-less OK, but the physical buttons are rather temperamental.
So, any tips? In particular, are there any ROMs out there that let you run the G3 using only virtual buttons on the touch screen?
You can use the following app for now:
SoftKeys for ROOT USERS
Note that you'll need to root your phone in order to use this app! Even I was in a similar situation a few months back where my soft keys would stop working randomly! In such situations this app was no less than a lifesaver for me.
Yeah or you could use Button Savior https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEwOSwiY29tLnNtYXJ0LnN3a2V5Il0.
It's better on the G3!
EDIT- you can also flash AOKP rom which give those onscreen buttons which the Galaxy Nexus has
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions &

Thanks for the app suggestions, and sorry for choosing the wrong forum.
We'll give those apps a try - or maybe that ROM though it doesn't seem like it's stable enough for a non-geek user yet...
Try returning it

Samsung galaxy s2 GT-I9100
I installed go locker which is working fine but the problem is before go locker there is always the phone lock screen image. For this I have to swipe screen twice to get into phone.
Is there a way I get to keep only go locker, lock screen and get rid of phones lock screen wallpaper?
bte go locker is the default lock screen on my phone.
any suggestions?
thanking in advance.
cheers
This is the Galaxy S2 Q&A not the Go Locker or Android apps support section.
This type of question should be asked in a general Android forum/section or directly to Go team.
Shouldn't you get the option to disable default stock lock screen in the go app?

The problem is that SGS2 lock screen wallpaper is not being disabled. Question is how to stop that.

I found the fix. You need to download the "go lock screen" application too. It can be downloaded from go locker app.

But its not unique to Galaxy S2, its simply that you have this device.
This is not a Galaxy S2 topic, its a Android app topic and it helps people including yourself to put these types of topics in correct place so that when people use search option they dont have to search every single forum section and can narrow down their results
understood. I'll learn and be carefully next time. thanks for explaining.

No worries bud. It just helps to have them in right section for when people search as it narrows down more
