I have my phone rooted. It is a Samsung Infuse ROGERS. I can't get past the 3e recovery. If someone could please give me instructions how to get CMW working, I am pretty confident I can do MIUI rom on my own. I have already tried this

I keep getting signature verification failed at 3e recovery. Can't even get to CWM screen. If someone could please help me, I would really appreciate it. Keep in mind its a ROGERS infuse, not the AT&T infuse.
You need to have a "modded" 3e recovery, that thread has a link for the instructions.
so i poked around on the infuse 4g forums, and didn't find much relating to clockworkmod, sooo i apologize if this is repeating another thread
i have a few questions about a rooted samsung infuse 4g on at&t. i am very new to this. my phone had been having random shutdown issues, and was reverting app settings to the initial settings. i'm hoping a root can help with this.
i installed clockworkmod recovery on the device (which requires 3e recovery as well).
after placing the files in the directed spots, and while booting into recovery and selecting "reinstall packages", i got the error message "E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted." for both recovery installs.
both were in the proper place and all, i'd triple checked everything. i attempted to "backup current rom" using rom manager and got the same message. the backup file was never created.
2nd question:
if i can't fix this, would it be a bad idea to forget it and flash a rom via odin instead? i assume (optimistically) that the problem is with the install and not the phone itself.
3rd question:
i've backed up all apps and info with titanium backup, do i need to backup my current rom? (firmware version 2.2.1 kernel version 2.6.32.9 no custom rom or anything, just rooted)
Did you install 3e or clockwork recovery first? I he the same happen to me because I flashed clockwork from rom manager before I got 3e recovery taken care of. If so, uninstall rom manager, install it again and flash clockwork recovery. It worked for me.
Sent from my Infuse 4g running MIUI v1.12.23
I installed clockwork first, assumed it didn't matter >,< do i need to remove 3e as well and start totally over? thanks so much! i figured it was something simple like that. I'll try it out
I just did that and attempted a backup, same error message as before ):

1. You might not want to back up anything with cwm. At least, I don't. Bad things happen when you try to restore them.
Rooting won't make a difference.
Back up your contacts and your apps only.
2. you can flash with odin or heimdall. if you go odin, use h8rift's.
3. just back up the apps. no need for froyo 2.2.1. gtg's and h8rift already created the orignal image
Great, then that's taken care of. Let me see if I'm understanding correctly; if I ever need to unroot, the stock rom will be available with h8rift? Therefore, no need to backup the current rom.
2. I will try that. Do you have a preference between odin and heimdall?
Before flashing and whatnot, would it be a good idea to uninstall 3e recovery, cwm recovery, or rom manager? or all 3? If I should uninstall rom manager, would a replacement app be useful and which one?
Read my post ...top to bottom.
got it. thanks
just rebooted into recovery using rom manager. i am still getting the same error message. how can i fix this? i did not see a solution in your article, nor did i see one in the forums for the infuse 4g.

Download sgs kernel flasher and flash entropys daily driver with it. There are multiple other threads with this problem resolved. Most of the old methods dont work if you just got your infuse and it came with 2.3.6 on it, but from what I've read(yes, even though I don't have the problem I found how to resolve it) the sgs kernel flasher is the way to go.
I would help more, but if you can't read enough to figure out the process, then maybe you shouldn't. Sorry, I'm just a bit bugged by this being reposted in more than 5 new threads very recently. I'm not trying to be a ****, but everybody just needs to take it slow and read. Most problems have been solved for the most part.

turned out to be an easy fix, no extra downloads necessary. uninstalled 3e and cwm and reinstalled. everything is up and running well. thanks for the help
I've read through many posts/threads and this is my first post after trying out many. I've tried to flash the rom of aosp adyscorpius and face "signature verification failure" and the solution i found in the thread was to toggle signature verification off. to toggle -> download clockworkmod which i did. then to install cwm i needed to download thru odin home+power+vol dwn. but its stuck at the Downloading.... screen. There's alot of info and as a newbie its really hard to identify what is relevant. Anyone can help me out here?
Why don't you download rom manager and try to install it through rom manager? It might be easier.
However if you want to install it through ODIN you can follow these instructions ----> http://galaxys2root.com/galaxy-s2-r...ckworkmod-recovery-on-rooted-galaxy-s2-i9100/
Please before you start flashing check what version of Galaxy S2 you have. I am telling you things that work on the international version. I cannot take responsibility for your mobile
In step 3: of the above it will ask you to download the recovery file etc. You can do that by pressing this link: https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B_s67NKADKQXOEdpOFoxVDQxMzA/edit
You can download odin and CWM (which is flashable through odin). Then you can continue with the instructions above
If you need more help do not hesitate to ask for more

Just as it says... I'm only making a post outside the "Bricked" post so people will see this and maybe someone can help me out...
This is for the SGH-T869 US TMobile 4g GT7Plus.
I am needing the stock .pit file to flash through Odin. I am also needing a compatible Clockwork Mod Recovery that's packaged to be flashed through Odin (to try and overwrite the stock recovery so I can get into it to wipe and whatnot and fix this soft-brick)...
Any help is greatly appreciated! :cyclops:
Current thread about this brick where we are trying to solve it:
