using the proximity sensor to autmatically answer a call.

Are you using Tasker to do this for you?

I was wondering if any one knows of a good app that has this functionality?
I have proximity sensor but since I have an app that auto turns on speaker phone on calls proximity sensor doesn't work, it disables it self on using speaker phone or volume or if you exit out on a call to do something it doesn't enable when finished

You could also try tasker. It's a great application.
Does anyone have any issues with flip to mute? I have the functionality on but when I flip my device over it doesn't seem to do anything.
I have the Rogers version of this device.
Are u on a custom rom.??

No - haven't rooted or anything just using default software
Is the phone set on a solid surface? This feature uses the gyro and proximity sensors

Yeah I put it face down on a desk when I try to use the functionality.
I'm assuming it should work with any media - youtube etc.?
Just testing it when other applications and it doesn't seem to work. It's strange because when I do the flip to mute "tutorial" in the settings it works fine.
I think it works with just the ringer on incoming calls. I just tested it by calling myself and the ringer indeed does mute when flipped over.

But if it's flipped and you receive a call - it still rings. I guess it just doesn't work the way I thought it did...
Same for me. I guess if you pick up the phone to see who it is, you can flip it over to silence the call.
I think mine does the same.. seems to work on anything but calls and notifications. Should be the opposite

Last time I checked it worked fine for me. I found out this morning that this also works on Stock Video player... Pauses the movie when you flip it over
For me ... flip to mute works only as an "action". you have to do the action for it to work...
you have to "flip it". not just be upside down.
The whole point for me was to be ringer off when upside down.
thats why i love these forums , learn something new everyday!!!! didn't even know i could flip to mute until now
Is there an app of any sort that will add profiles (specifically for sound) like on Cyanogenmod?

You could make Tasker profiles.

Does Llama do automatic time profiles? Say for example I want to mute my notifications when I go to bed, could I set it to mute notifications from 11 pm to 8 am, and consequently unmute notifications after that?
The most user friendly app for this would be Trigger. Try it out.

Does trigger allow calls to come through at night if on silent?

Are you asking because you want them to? You can set all the sound volumes separate. So all notifications can be muted along with the LED and still have ringer volume up. If that's what you are asking about. If you are wanting to block calls, I'm not sure. I havent tried that. Trigger does integrate with tasker though so theoretically, you can do whatever you want.
Tasker is certainly not super user friendly but I find it's very good for mimicking sound profiles. You can create your own buttons on your home screen to switch between profiles. You can also set it up so that if you're on silent but get a call from "priority" contacts your phone will still ring. If you get creative you can even set it up so that if someone calls multiple times fairly quickly the call will come through (you need to use stored values to accomplish this, but it's not too difficult).

Yes. It is an automation program first and foremost, sound profiles are controlled by whatever condition you set, otherwise you would need to keep opening the app and switching sound profiles manually.
Similar to other automation apps but easier to learn than Tasker and it's free with no ads.
I use it to toggle my phone settings and sound profiles automatically.
I am unable to get a message notification during a call. Does anyone know if there is a setting to turn on notification sound during a call? I tried looking for it in the dialer settings (like the S10+) but could not find it.

Hmm...mine makes a little blip sound during calls...I'll see what I can find

I'm stumped. I tried searching everywhere.
After updating my OP6 to Oxygen 10 (via Oxygen Updater and a local upgrade), I get an annoyingly loud notification ‘plop’ sound (not the usual notification sound as set in settings but something that sounds like a glitch) if eg a message arrives while I make a call. As far as I am concerned, there shouldn’t be any sounds from incoming messages at all during a call.
Is anyone else seeing this? Any idea how to solve this?
Hello,
Yes I am having it as well, but do not know how to remove...
Wen the call gets disconnected there is a notification sound as you mentioned "plop".. Its much needed coz there were times, i keep talking until situation turns out weird ?
Even im having the same issue as well as 5ghz wifi autodisconnect bug. so, i have rolled back to oos9 .

Lol cant agree more , but on our case it happens even in calls when notification arrives, which shouldn't happen in first place since its not present in oos9 or custom roms based on android 10.
Same to me. After Update to Oxygen 10 there is plop sound when I receive notification during call. I could not find any option to disable or reduce sound of notifications during call. Before Update to Oxygen 10 there was no such problem with notification sound.
I have the same problem on the latest Oxygen 10.3.1 on my OP6. Should I rollback to 9 ? Or there is a solution?
