PSFreedom on Nexus S? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know if this will ever be ported to the nexus s? I know they got nowhere with the samsung galaxy s but does this mean the same for the nexus s?
Worked fine with nexus one...

You don't need that anymore. Just get a custom firmware and there's no need to plug the phone in every time you want to jailbreak

Thanks just looked into it now lol

jailbreak...? Huh...did i stumble into an iPhone forum?

HTC Sense Port for SNS? (Nexus S)

Do you think that Sense will ever be able to be ported to the Nexus S when it releases its Gingerbread update?
I know that the Galaxy S never managed to see Sense on it, but it would be sure nice to have that option I also know this would be a difficult port as it would involve an inter manufacturer jump. I think it was easier to put sense on the n1 due to it being an HTC phone I dont think i will feel the same need for TouchWiz on the Nexus S somehow
JD
No idea. Just out of curiosity, WHY???

I for one would love to see SENSE on the NS ans SGS phones.
Sense is closed-source, meaning it would be illegal to port it. And because we're on the Internet, it will be done anyway.

Because something is closed source doesn't make it illegal to port. The problem is that Sense is a copyright work of HTC and therefore it's up to HTC whether or not third-parties are allowed to redistribute it, at present no.
However that still doesn't mean porting Sense is illegal. If you own a HTC Desire HD, dump the firmware, modify it to run on another device you own then that's perfectly legal. However, I'm not sure about the actual legalities of duplicating the firmware. You may be forced to remove the firmware from your HTC device so that you haven't created two copies. It really depends on what HTC's license says, assuming they even thought to include one.
Can anybody make a sense rom?
To work on nexus S....Pls just for kicks
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I'm sure one will be released at some point. Sense has an aesthetically pleasing UI that a lot of android users find attractive. Seeing as the Nexus S was just released, however, just have to wait and be patient. I think that the openness of this device, coupled with it's "pure google" experience, will attract a lot of devs and a lot of customization options.

I think the N1 got the Sense ROMs only because it was easy to port it from the nearly identical HTC Desire device.
I'm not sure it will be that easy to do on the Samsung HW.
Does the SGS have such ROM? If so, then surly we'll be seeing one for NS soon.
It doesn't make Sense

Tango was updated today to support the Nexus S
And I only looked at this thread thinking it was a joke. You mean someone would seriously want to take a great phone and crap it up with Sense???? I don't understand that at all!
I though people stopped making sense ROMs because HTC didnt quite like that copyright infringment.
thats why the CM rom on the Evo doesnt have it

[req] sense rom?

I have a nexus s
I love sense ui
Is there any besides nexus sense??
Please and thankd

First, you break the rule by NOT looking around this forum first before you post.
Second, Nexus Sense is sleeping for 2-3 months since then, but now, it's awaking in progress Nexus Sense 0.3

Debel, enjoy your Fine Nexus with aosp roms or cm. Forget Sense. Like someone said on a similar thread "flashing Sense on a Nexus is like painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa". Credit goes to the person who originally wrote that.

I like Sense, it doesn't give me bad performance, and it looks nice.
Please go somewhere else where people want to hear your bull****.
A sense ROM would probably be a refreshing change from the currently overloaded AOSP based ROMs (not complaining).
Mainly one that's based on sense 3.0. I've seen sense 3.0 ROMs in the desire forums and they look really good. It would be nice to see one for the Nexus.

Ok well I came from an E3D to get a nexus sense 3.0 isn't all its cracked up to be its just ok... a couple visual enhancements and it runs a little smoother than sense 2.1 stick with aosp or Miui it brings much more to the table

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA love it
I think he is on drugs. To trade a phone like that for the nexus s you would have to be dumb, stupid or on drugs or alcohol to do something like that. thats like me trading my nexus s for the x10 or a nokia from 2001 lol

not saying it isnt. i love my nexus s. im glad i chose this over the arc. i was origanally going to get the arc on contract but then found out they has the nexus s in stock and asked for this one. i een chose this over the galaxy s2 as this is part owend by google and we should be the first to get the update if i am right. but still to trade the E3D for a nexus s is to me a little bit silly if you ask me. the E3D is an amazing phone and HTC are very good at making a fast reliable deice. Same as Samsung and LG.

I pre ordered the evo 3d when I had my Nexus, simply put, some people like the nexus and some like the evo. And they are working on a sense 3.0 rom for the 4G atm. Though sense 3.o uses a lot of ram, I don't know how well it will work for the nexus. My girls inc2 ran sense 3.0 well but it was hella buggy...

question about nexus s with ICS

im trading my evo 4g into sprint for a nexus s and i want to run ICS on it but with the current state of ICS on the evo im a little weary. how is ICS running on the ns? can i run graphic intensive apps like FPse and other "higher" end games? are there any major issues i should know about? thanks in advance!
tried fifa 12 but the grass was all purple and **** but still playable on stock without oc. duno whether there is a fix for this.
fpse no problems
ICS on the EVO sucks big time. You'll be amazed at it on the Nexus S, especially since its made by Google.

thank you but what's your opinion about that "nexus s or galaxy s"
I donno man.
If you are thinking about changing phone and wont be able to go for the brand new and expensive ones, I would recomend you to go for the Nexus S.
I myself changed my LG O2X for a Nexus S, mostly because of the Google brand, the promised updates, and all the good stuff developed for the phone to customize it with.
And lets be honest. Samsung Google Nexus S is so god damn sexy

Yeah, ****ty LG didnt provide me with a stable phone.. reboots and bsod was occuring often with LGO2x.
Plus they didnt send out updates so often. I was still running Android 2.2 FroYo when Google updated their Nexus S with 4.0 ICS.
Atm LGO2x is on Gingerbread recently updated, and waiting for ICS in the end of the year or probably even next year...
To make a short story. I love Google Android, but not LG.
Thats why I changed for a Nexus s (same screen resolution, same clockspeed, not dual core though )
