Hi all,
Been a lurker for a little while and just wanted to register and post a THANK YOU to all the developers who are striving to make this device awesome. You all definitely don't get enough recognition! Plus I love following the updates form the office. THANKS AGAIN!

Been lurking around for a while. I have gained a HUGE amount of knowledge from you folks. You've helped me root my Eris, pick ROMs, and provided great downloads. The amount of passion that the devs have for their ROMs is impressive! I post on very few forums but this shows itself to be a great community for those of us who want our devices to be just that. Ours! Thanks guys, and keep up the great work!
Welcome to forums
Read, Search, respect and Enjoy!
Hey guys, I am happy that I am able to post this here after getting permission from the Admins! My name is Derek (aka viperboy on DF, Phandroid, and others) and I created www.froyoroms.com for Froyo ROMs and Froyo Development. I know there are already alot of forums for Android, but I wanted to give this a shot as this makes it easier for everything to be consolidated in one place.
I started this site up about 3 days ago so I don't have many users yet, but I'm looking forward to the site growing! It is completely free with no ads and you're more than welcome to just view if you want to even if you're not registered. I want to make it clear that I did this for the community, not to make money. I am not looking to compete with this site or any other site, it's just another place for Devs and Android enthusiasts to come together and enjoy all of the new ROMs and everything coming out with Froyo.
Speaking of Devs... I am looking to get some of you guys over there too! Again, I don't want to take you away from another site, but you have an open invitation to your own place over there. I can also provide you with...
Unlimited FTP storage
Your own board for you to moderate
A direct link to your board (example: www.froyoroms.com/developername)
your own e-mail address @froyoroms.com
As for the users, I ask you to please register over there, we would love to have you! As the site grows, I will also be looking for Moderators and I can provide you with storage space and your own @froyoroms.com e-mail as well. When that time comes, I will post more details about it in the Announcement section of my site.
If you have any questions, please let me know! Suggestions and feedback is greatly appreciated as this is my first website and forum and I believe that listening to user feedback is the greatest way to improve a site!
Again, thank you to XDA Admins and this site!
- Derek
I had some people register here after posting this thread. Just wanted to say thank you for registering! I'm working on some EVO how-to's and will get to the Droid how-to's hopefully tomorrow.
If anyone out there would be able to post how-to's (like rooting and recovery basics since there isn't much in the way of Froyo ROMs right now) that would be great! I am not familiar with all the devices so I could sure use some help!
Thanks again, everyone!

I just wanted to project my vast appreciation to all of you folks at xda! I am a new member, but long time reader, i have never had a reason to post a new topic due to the fact that i always find my answer with in about 5 minutes of searching! Again, thank you so much for making this site free and availible to all of us Android fans!!! Keep up the great work!
I'm one of those people who browse threads, read, and do my best to learn without asking questions. i have never really had a big reason to post replies to anything. everything i ever need or want for info is always here somewheres on this site.
This is my thank you to all of you developers and senior posters that make XDA great and keeps XDA just a little bit above the rest.
I am genuinely appreciative of everything you all contribute to the android world.
Please keep up the good work.
I totally agree, dude. these folks need some love.
Couldn't agree more!!!
Great work, It is much appreciated.
Agreed. not just in the Gtablet forum but in every forum as well. No one asks these people to do all these wonderful things for our devices... they just do
Thank you devs!
And also thank you XDA staff for all the behind the scenes work you do.
:d:d:d:d
thank you!!!
:d:d:d:d
Many thanks
Just sending out thanks for all the work the developers do to make the devices we love to use the best they can be.
i agree. if it wasn't for the people here at xdev and other sites like it, the gtab would have died an ugly death long ago. i have gained so much knowledge just from reading all the questions and posts. i've donated a couple of times and encourage others to do the same if you can. if not, thumbs up and thanks at least lets them know their efforts are appreciated.
Guys. Cant thank you enough for letting me in in this community. I remembered when i was a new user and posting too much questions. But now ive learned enough information because of this community. Thank you with all my heart and i will miss you guys. Though i will always visit this community even though i dont have now my SL-i9003. I have changed it for s2-HD LTE. There is not too much development in this device because its only a variant of s2. But im still happy. Thank you guys! I'll still continue answering questions sometimes in my thread guide. xD Goddbless I9003. Goodluck for android 4.4. (My new device will surely dont have this update hahaha) THANKS AGAIN!
