Dexter:
Thanks for the ElocityModv1.1. All seems to be working so far on my e-Locity A7 and I have the Android Market.
Some of the previous Android Apps that I side loaded that did not work I reloaded using the Android market to re-load the apps and now they are working.
When can we expect your expertise for the new Android 3.0 Honeycomb for our A7s'
Thanks
Mike

Hi,
I guess Gingerbread is already undergoing rigorous hack-testing. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread Keyboard is now available to get ported on to rooted devices running Android 2.2 Froyo. According to the source, this keyboard is only compatible on rooted phones with Froyo. Here is the reference link.
Chaps I have an old spica which run android 2.3, and I was wondering if there is a better version that is supported and that it is safe and stable to install?
thanks
Dear developers,
i am asking for a clean Android 4.1.2 Rom for the ZTE V970 with Mediatek dual Core CPU @ 1 Ghz and 1 GB Ram / 4 GB Rom.
There are several custom Roms with Android 4.1.1. This Android Version is affected by the Hearthbleed Bug and so a no go.
Then there are several very nice custom Roms with Android 4.2.2. On those Versions the camera is defective, every picture and video looks pink.
I found some Custom Roms with Android 4.1.2, but they are all not optimal.
Most of them have not the simple google Ui, the developers installed third-party UIs, which are not as fast as the standard UI.
The there are a lot of unwanted third-party Apps per-installed and sometimes some important Apps (like the standard browser and the google play services) are not running.
I am asking for the following configuration, so i can use this Smartphone a little bit longer:
Android 4.1.2
Android standard UI.
Google apps installed.
SuperUser installed.
(Camera should work)
I hope that someone will be so nice and build such a Custom Rom for me and all the other user who just wants a slim system for the ZTE v970
thanks a lot
My kids have older Kogan android tablets running 4.0.4 (Build number KoganAgoraICS4.0)

Don't like your luck on this tablet (I have the same one) and to date have yet to find an OS update to Jelly Bean or further. The tablet is agonisingly slow.
A few guys had a crack at it with rooting it and trying other roms from rebadged version of the same tablet but nothing about moving upto another OS. From what I could gather after sorting out a few wifi bugs it seemed to run faster than the Kogan Rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1848335 They mostly discuss the 8" version but the rom is the same as the 10".
Cheers,

I've recently installed the latest Hades ROM which is Android 10 on a friend's Note 8. I tried to pair it with the A2N kernel because it seems to be an incredibly good kernel... But it doesn't boot, or even go past the initial logo.
The problem is that on one of my phones, a Galaxy J5 2015, i can install any Android version while using the same kernel, Jet Cooled Kernel OC, which was made for Android 8. Tried it even on Android 11 and it works perfectly. Currently running AEX, Android 9, because it offers the most customization.
So why is that? Can somebody explain it to me? (To be clear, i'm not saying that people's work is poorly made or something.)
