The originals are in the framework-res.apk and the SystemUI.apk in the ROM. Unzip the ROM and the apks and work with them from there.

Taskbar Menu

Can someone show me how I can personally change my top taskbar menu (if it's possible) and where can I find the themes for it?
Thanks.

It all depends what you're actually trying to do?
Just change a color? Change the pull down background? Add quickpanel toggles?
I flashed my phone back to stock rom and I just wanted the taskbar to look like the octane rom that I was running on before.

You can try pulling the framework-res.apk and systemui.apk from octane and replacing them in the appropriate spots in your current ROM as long as the rom you are on is deodexed. But it may,not work. Or, you can replace the .png files using 7zip and then replace those files with your new themed ones (less chance of fc or bootloop). But the second method is a bit more detailed.

it will work, will change the icons and the color of the windows, animations and all the icons that the framework.apk has,but maybe if you push and hold the power button you may have a freeze on the phone cause the framework.jar has the options to reboot and take screenshot, framework.apk and framework.jar are related,so if you put a framework.apk that not correspond to its .jar you may have this issues, just give it a try, backup all the files you will replace,if you need to restore the framework.apk,or something else use AROMA file manager, with this one you can restore previously backed up framework and other .apks you modify, without flashing again.

4.0.4 LRK Orange Theme

Hi
Just thought I might share with anyone on a LRK rom an orange theme I have. I made this for ClassicRom but should work fine on any LRK rom and possibly 4.0.4. There are some issues with LR6 with wrong text displayed but all good on LRK but haven't tested on previous 4.0.4 roms.
Link
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B74yQ4mwfAnDWFNUZ1BVWFNsTzQ
APK's themed are
framework-res
twframework-res
criskelo-res
mms
contacts
jobmanager
axt9ime
systemui
Thanks to grgsiocl, criskelo and ruger94, if forgotten anyone sorry
The usual make a backup and flash at own risk
Hope you like and screens attached
Edit: made some slight changes for the better and couple of png issues fixed
8 toggles. just flash this after theme if want 8 toggles visible instead of 6
theme removal?
thanks for your hard work
just flashed it and i was quite please with how it looked but for now i want to revert to Epsilon Project default - please advise
thanks again

So you dont need to reflash the rom you can either use a root explorer and copy the replaced files from the rom you are using or unzip the theme zip and replace the files in there with the ones from your rom, zip then flash.

You want to get the apks from the zip file you flashed for the rom. In system/framework you will need framework-res, criskelo-res or lidroid-res depending which one is there and twframework-res. From system/app you will need axt9ime, mms, contacts, jobmanager and systemui. Either replace the files in the zip for the theme with these and flash or copy and paste them in your system with a root explorer, if going to do that do app folder then framework and will need to hold power down to reset the phone after framework is copied because it will lock up the phone. Worst case you can just reflash the rom without wipe.

nice looking
lrq update plz
thanks for the skin. can you get the notification dropdown to support 240dpi?
and also...maybe the orange hex color to be FFFD9640? This orange is a *bit* dark..
currently the orange gradient bar is 3/4 way down on the screen, and not at the bottom. other than that, it is totally awesome
thanks!
Nice job - Look's great
Working on updating this to lrq as well as the other themes I have. Don't plan on supporting a different dpi as I don't use a different dpi sorry. As for the hex code I have done most of the xmls already but will look into changing to the code suggested when get another chance. And for the drop down curtain I wanted to make it that way for something different so the black faded into the orange

How to change notification background?

Hi, is it possible to change background in the notification center on a 4.2.1 ROM? Is there an easy way (like an app) or i must decompile systemui.apk and edit xml files?
Thank you
Nobody?
Sent from my Nexus S - Xylon 4.2.1
I know klinkerkp themed it into transparent. Don't know how he does it though. Try getting in touch with him(check my sig for his theme)
Sent from my Nexus S
It's hard to find the correct image, however I won't give up!!
meanwhile, if someone wants to try, this is a zip file with decompiled SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk
What changed with respect to the normal darkbeanjelly?
Sent from my Nexus S
Nothing. I've just decompiled it, so it's easier if someone wants to analyze it.
Can anybody share a flashable transparent one, working with every aokp/cm10.1 rom?

Yup. You can
