I'm looking for a rom that is compatible with 2.22.28.25/ 2.22.27.08 radio that will not crash or eat up my battery life. I mean I would like to get at less 6 hours of usage. I've tryed CM6.1, biff 2.1, ezterrey, CM7, and the list gose on. Or is there a better kernal.
Any help would be nice

Wrong forum dude, prepare to get eaten alive...
Anyways, I've had great battery life with all those roms you posted... Using either the stock kernels or the ez any kernel.
Same here. CM6.1 with 34.7 kernel.
Battery life is slightly more than 24 hours. And I consider myself on the phone almost every waking moment.
Powered by Android
My setup is:
Device: HTC Dream
SPL: 1.33.0013d
Radio: 2.22.28.25
Recovery: RA-dream-v1.7.0
ROM: AOSP 2.2 for Dream
Kernel: 2.6.35.10 - OC-UV-RAM-FP - Dream/Sapphire from Droid Basement from Jan 26th.
This runs fantastically, not as much customization as CM6.1 but it seems to run faster, less lag etc when switching between apps and whatnot.
I recommend it for those looking for a phone to use to browse, text, call and use as an alarm!

Looking for other user's experiences with the 2.2 roms. I understand that the official 2.2 update is looking grim and there are some apps that I want to download that are 2.2 only.
Stability and non OC and UV would be ideal. Any suggestions?

Kernel: Speedmod
Modem: JK4
Only thing is if you flash serendipity you will have to flash speedmod seperately cause it comes with an oc/uv kernel bundled in. That is the combo I run and its very stable...

A little uneasy about flashing a kernel. I want to make an easy transition to the new 2.2 when it comes out.
Dorian's UGJK3 FroYo - Gingerbread Edition
Dorian's XXJPY 2.2.1
I haven't used the above ROMs but they seem pretty successful/stable from the posts in the threads I linked above.
You can always odin one-click back to stock if needed when an official (non-rogers) froyo is released. If you're thinking of flashing a rom there is really no reason to be uneasy about flashing a kernel because all roms flash a kernel and modem. Everyone likes different roms and kernels and modems and have different ones that work better, so I would suggest looking at what rom you think would give you what you are looking for, comparing kernels, and modems. Remember to read the modem thread over in development about kernel/modem combinations too.
Andromedia
flashed over darky's 8.1 (ported to captivate) and is really fast!

You could use SGS kernel flasher. That's what I used because I felt the same way.

Serendipity.
There are a lot of good choices available right now I am currently running Pheonix 3.5 and its where it should be as far as development. Any of the JPY 2.2.1 roms should be good to go as many of the bugs on all of them have been worked out. the new roms coming out as of right now are based on the Armani captivate and the bell captivate. These are still being tweaked out for maximum performance and will eventually be the best choice for our phones, but in the mean time I would choose between Pheonix 3.5, perception build 10.2 or cognition 2.3b7 a little step backwards, but very stable. These are great places to get you feet wet before you get the bug to flash the latest and greatest XDA has to offer.
If and when ATT finally decides to release an official froyo the best chioces for an operating system will still be found right here, and you'll be glad you learned to get the most out of your phone.

I'm running the same thing (version 2.0), but with the JL2 modem. I even have the circle batter mod, and there are no issues.
Good combo
storm717 is definitely on to something!
I have mod-ed three Captivates to this three part combo...(my own, then two coworker/friends) we have all had nothing but good experience with this combination. A faster, better Captivate is waiting for you too...definitely use "Rom Manager" makes it much safer and easier.

Watch out when using a Captivate ROM (such as Cognition) with i9000 kernel/modem (such as Firebird 2) as it will cause bluetooth voice to not work (so much static it will be unusable).
If you use a i9000 ROM it will not make use of the hardware noise cancellation (audience chip) in the Captivate, so people you call may have a hard time hearing you if there is background noise.

I'm on cm7 nightly 30 and loving it. Just checked and the 31 was released yesterday. I've noticed a huge increase in battery life and performance, especially without ADW Launcher and just using stock Gingerbread's instead.
I'm using the CoreDroid theme. It has excellent battery life and its smooth and fast. In the 4.8 update I noticed it had bast wifi signal pickup. Once they fix it ill recommend it

It's kind of a personal choice. I like RCMix, Coredroid, and Leedroid. I am currently hooked on Di11igaf's ROM, though. It's all about what you like, so just give them all a try and see what you prefer.
Depends on what you like, either be performance or look, I really like the sense UI, but I also love a fast phone, I have tried Coredroid, Android revolution, stock and Cyanogenmod 7, so far Android revolution seems to be the most stable of all, Coredroid had several apps force close and CM 7 was acting weird tried several flashes and all ended in reboot loop.
TPC v2 with Leedroid Kernel 2.2.8 is lightning fast, not a single issue with anything, gps locks in 10-15 seconds on 7+ sats, 2+ DL, 1.4+ UL speeds on average (i've hit 4+ DL and 2+ UL depending on time of day and location) and the battery is a huge increase over stock. Was seeing about 8 hours before battery warning with stock, now 12 with same usage (alot of conference calls, LiveProfile messaging, and march madness updates ). I flashed the dilligaf but had some issues with connection speed, but the rom and kernel are INSANE fast and he hasnt even OC'd the kernel yet (quadrant pulled a 2200, my current tpc/lee with stock OC+18 i only hit mid 1800s).
CM7 isnt done yet, for linux users its like a rolling distro, too many kinks and hate having to update nightly to find out what is working now and what that update broke, i need something stable as this is my work and personal phone, 'my android kernel ruined my radio' wouldnt be an acceptable excuse.
I haven't really wanted the flash of the other ROMs as i usually remove all the widgets from my home screen. If i want to know the weather, i goto the weather on the internet, if i want the news, i look it up, i dont need it updating on my phone constantly, and grouping of the icons defeats the purpose of having 5 home screens anyway, so that point seems moot....the only ROM i'm currently interested in is the ASOP style once dilligaf is done....my 2cents

My market wouldn't update with TPC and I could not stand the animations with LeeDroid although his kernel is the best out right now. My current setup is in my sig, was on RcMixHD 5.2 for ages but after a while, the novelty of Gingerbread wore off. I can't see any benefit of using a Sense Gingerbread ROM until custom kernels are available. I also ran CM7 for a while but I can't keep away from Sense, I love it!

First of all, Thanks to all HTC Sensation's Rom developers. We have quite a few. HTC Sensation is as of now one of the most supported devices…kudos to them...It is really appreciated.
I am just tester that switched from iphone(got sick of it) to Android about 1-1/2 to 2 years ago. I started with the amazing HTC HD2, then HTC Desire Z(t-mobile G2), T-Mobile LG-2X, and now the powerful HTC Sensation.
I have always looked for the best battery developed rom offered. For example on HTC HD2 , I could not find any better than Hyperdroid from pongster, or Virtuous on G2, Eagleblood on LG2X. These are just my modest opinion
I have tried about 10 different ROMs on my Sensation and so far the best I have found battery wise is Insertcoin….(as I said it is just my opinion). Insertcoin is fine and 40 to 50 % better compared to stock, but it does not compare to the battery life I was getting from Hyperdriodv11 from pongster (which with normal use lasted 1 1/2 to 2 days, on heavy use lasted the entire day). INSERTCOIN give a good 14 to 16 hours (normal use) which I cannot complaint about it, but o when I have heavy use I need to charge it at least once or twice a day.
I have only one Sensation and I have tested quite a few roms but no all. There are about 30 to 40 out there. I am posting 33, sorry if a miss others. I have tested quite a few so far would like to share my experiences, but I would also like other member opinions which may help me and others to make their best pick.
This a bashing or a pissing contest..it is just your opinion please be gently
I will appreciate your inputs.
Thanks

Too bad this poll hasn't gotten a larger voting result. I would love to see the poll with votes in the hundreds.
You forgot CM7 alpha 7.... ive tried a couple different roms and lees and mikes dont compare to CM7.
Not all SOCs are created equal
I have tried the following ROMs so far and have monitored battery usage on them with the Current Widget and logs.
1. ARHD 4.1.6
2. InsertCoin 3.4.4
3. Reverted AOSP
4. MIUI.us Latest
My best battery usage (lowest under 10Ma) is with InsertCoin's ROM. The other ROMs showed heavy battery drain(even without any other apps except stock), particularly with ARHD and Reverted AOSP. ARHD and AOSP use custom kernels unlike InsertCoin which uses stock by default. I don't however think the problem is with the ROM or Kernels. My phone SOC just cant seem to handle undervolting or any other kernel mods very well.
I love InsertCoin. VERY useful additions/changes from stock. I also love the speed on ARHD. Tough decision between the two but the battery life was the clincher so sticking with InsertCoin for now. I love the simplicity of MIUI but too many FCs at the moment. InsertCoin has been the most dependable ROM for my phone.
I am also going to try ARHD with some other kernels and see how that works.
Like I said, not all SOCs are created equal so mileage WILL vary. This poll is at best some kind of starting point for the battery conscious.
IMAO, CM7 is awesome, more than 1 day with medium use !

This is the best option because you get the reliability of ARHD but can customize what you need to get to stock ICS

I just said that to someone in General, and it applies here. ARHD + AOSP upgrade = Best, customizable combo rom.

You should be pretty safe with any of the top ROM's at the moment as they're all run by quite experienced programmers.
Running what I have in my signature is giving me unbelievable results in the battery area, as well as performance, it's quite incredible actually.

VI 4.0.1 hands down!If you need a solid kernel to go with it Faux 004 is the way to go.
For Sense-less ROM, I think Virtuous is a solid option.
ARHD with Sense removed is also a good option, but requires a bit more tinkering from my understanding.
I've tried ExtremeSensation Prime 5 and found that to be a very stable ROM with good battery life on my XE.
Senseless and from what I can see, no major problems and almost everything is AOSP. Worth a try.
