Wifi causes Bluetooth Keyboard Issue - G Tablet General

With Wifi turned on the bluetooth keyboard repeats keys
I thought it was the keyboard so I tried another bluetooth keyboard. It wasn't until I was using it with wifi turned off that I noticed the problem wasn't there (it's like the bluetooth radio interferes with the wifi radio???)
Basically, as you type normally, random characters are repeated. It can repeat as few as two or as many repeats to fill a couple of lines of text. Even if you switch the keyboard off, in the middle of it repeating, it still keeps going (like you have held the key down and the tablet's buffer has still got them to process)
Oddly, if I use 3G instead of wifi, everything is fine. In fact, the keyboard works really well without using wifi.
Has anyone else noticed this? Can anyone suggest any fixes?
For reference, I'm using the Malata Zpad T2 with 3G.
Cheers, Mal.

Have you tried different channels for the wifi?
Jim

I have the problem at home and in the office, they could be using same channel. I'll try your suggestion and see what happens. Thanks.

I believe that the broadcom wifi / bluetooth has a known interference problem so much so that on my Odroid T that I had, the developers of that device were not able to resolve it. I have noticed that as soon as I turn on my bluetooth while using wifi, the wifi will loose the connection, but usually re-connects and then it is ok. I have not experienced problems with my keyboard as you describe though. Using tnt lite 4.1.0

Hi,
I just noticed that you appear to be in AUS? How many channels do you have there?
In the US, we're limited to just 11 channels (1-11), but I think that in other countries, they have 13. Maybe that's a differerence also, since the Gtab would've had to go through the FCC, and I don't know if it was certified in other countries?
Jim

That's not good news if it's a interference problem (may not be resolved with software???). I might send and email to Malata about this and see what they recommend.
As for the wifi channels question, yeah we have 13 in Oz, but not all products will work on Channel 12 and 13 (I assume those that don't are manufactured in the US).
Cheers, Mal.

Hi,
On the gtab, under with settings-->advanced, there's a regulatory domain setting, where can select 11 or 13 channels.
Jim

That weird, I don't have that setting on my tablet.

WiFi/Bluetooth - ICS -Lets share version numbers that appear to be fine.....

In this thread i am only referring to the WiFi/Bluetooth clash that seems to affect some of us but not all of us.
ie; The problem appears to be with the WiFi, WiFi fails to disconnect when leaving the ssid area. Wont reconnect when returning to the area, the WiFi connection just cycles, hunting and hunting, never connecting..... until i turn the Bluetooth off, then it connects within seconds. Switching off the Bluetooth appears to eliminate a 2.4ghz clash between the wifi and Bluetooth, allowing the WiFi to operate freely.
Other phone manufacturers have had to deal with this, its not uncommon.
I've been evolved in a bit of discussion about wifi this week, And i have found I have the WiFi/Bluetooth clash on my twin-core. but not the quad-core.
so i thought we should distribute the version numbers that are trouble free, that seems to me to be a better place to start than with just random testing like i have had to do to get my result... .. so a bunch of test roms later, here are the rom versions i use, and have turned out to be trouble free.
Twincore - Now runs "CleanROM 3", based on build version 1.88.707.2, now runs problem free. I had previously tryed Asian roms 1.77.708.3 & 1.77.708.2, the Modaco IR1(1.29.401.11), all had the W/BT problem.... there were some others that didnt work either but i lost track.
I also tried the wifi fix provided by JSLenterprises but got no relief from that, not on any of the versions i tested.
(To be fair to JSLenterprises, i dont even know if his fix was for this issue, i just tryed it because i was testing anything WiFi for my solution!)
Quadcore - Still running factory 1.29.728.12, always ran problem free!
Anyone else got some build numbers that you know are trouble free? we might be able to narrow down weeks of research for others trying to resolve this bluetooth/wifi clash.... or else wait for the proposed offical update of course.
And anyone having familiar problems might want to flash these versions i suggest, just to make sure i didnt just get lucky.
lets solve this sh..!
You had bluetooth issues, and flashing cleanrom 3.0 fixed them?
what issued did you have? my bluetooth is terrible.
Was person calling me hearing their echo when im on bluetooth one of these problems?? Just bought bloototh for car and receiver hears their own voice, big echo they say
I had no issue with the bluetooth itself...

[Q] Moto G and Moto G 4G LTE - WiFi problems, bad signal and no internet

Hey guys. I'm "new" here on xda. I've been using this website from the shadows for years, but today I just can't solve this problem by myself.
The thing is, I owned a Moto G 2013 (16Gb) 2 years ago. Stock 4.4.4 KK, no problem at all. And I decided to OTA update it to LP 5.1.1, and after that, apply the NX ROM. Everything works just fine, not a single problem.... until my brother got a Moto G 4G LTE (1st gen) this Christmas.
He was 4.4.4 stock. The phone was from GB (not our country), Tesco version and it said it had no update to Lollipop, so I updated it with TWRP with original OTA firmware. Everything, again, okey (strangely, there is no 5.1.1 update available, anyone correct me if I'm wrong).
THE PROBLEM starts when we both use our phones at home, over the same WiFi network. If I have WiFi ON, and he doesn't, my phone internet is working. But if we both have the WiFi ON, randomly, one of the two will have working internet and the other will not.
I thought it's our ROMs the problem. I reverted to stock, recoveries, firmwares, radios, EVERYTHING. I got crazy finding a solution (I searched for solutions on Google in 3 languages). And right now, I just have the two phones, one next to the other, doing a web searching comparison, and as said:
- imagine my Moto G is "A" and his Moto G is "B"
- "A" and "B" with WiFi on
- Searching for Youtube with Google Chrome app
- "A" works, "B doesn't"
- I turn off "A" WiFi, and instantly, "B" internet is working again
This drives me crazy, because we live in the same house, single router. We have a 50Mb real WiFi connection, set at Auto channel, channel width and 11bgn mixed mode. I tried using fixed channel, 20Mhz width channel, only 11n... nothing works.
We have other devices, a Samsung, a Sony and 4 PCs, and everybody has good internet, except our Moto G's when used at the same time. We have no neighbourgs (the only network in 50 meters is ours) so no channel fload from other WiFi signals.
I'm sorry for the wall text, but it just pisses me off that I have tried it everything, for almost a week, and no solution.
Thanks in advance!
Could this be a MAC address collision? Can you see both phones on the router?

Sorry for the delay answer. I think I need to configure the xda notifications thing...
And mate, you are bloody right. The problem was so visible and simple, that I couldn't even think about it. Indeed, both phones have the same MAC adress. How is that even possible? Both phones are from different countries, and I never messed up with the WiFi settings... Strange.
Now that I know where resides the problem... how do I change the MAC adress? I know it has something to do with the "persist" folder, but don't know how to properly change it. I use ES File Manager PRO, and root explorer is set to r/w so it's all ready.
Thanks for the fast reply mate, I already have half the problem solved :fingers-crossed:
Cheers!

Only in my Moto G, but that was way before he got his phone. And the only thing I did was delete the folder and put the one from Lollipop (had the 4.4.4 one, and wifi wasn't working after ROM install).

That pretty much solved my problem! I used Notpad ++ and modified the file on the PC, as apps from PlayStore with hex editing couldn't detect the "persist" folder for some weird unknown reason.
But if anyone gets to read this post, you only have to change by 1 ONLY the last number. If your MAC adress ends in "e6", change it to "e7" and so on (4 times as in the file). The rest let it unchecked.
Thanks again mate. WiFi working properly, as it should. Made a quick test and no WiFi drop. You rock! :good:

New issue: Wifi randomly turninf off (without USB beeing disconnected) - PX5 MTCD

Hi there,
despite the issue, that my radio in disconnecting USB (incl. Wifi, randomly, especially when it is colder) - which I tried to fix by replacing the USB chip to a GL852G - I now have a new issue since some days:
Now, my radio also disconnects Wi-Fi randomly without turning on again, while USB itself is not interuppted.
That issue is very new to me.
I installed a newer MCU some days ago (3.13 and 3.17) as this fixed an issue with the Bluetooth App automatically opening at the bottom of the screen when making a phone call.
I did not went back to the previous MCU yet (which was a 3.04 I think), as I don't think the issue is related to this. After MCU upgrade, I didn't have the above mentioned issue since more than a week.
Anyone having a similiar or same issue?
Maybe anony can confirm, MCU > 3.x having a wifi issue?
Thanks a lot!
Christian
Hi Christian,
I had the same issue. In the beginning I was able to compensate the issue with an automation app. (If WLAN turns off -> Turn on) After some time I couldn't activate the WLAN at all without restarting the radio. At some point, I could not do that anymore. Then I looked for a working LTE-Stick, but quickly understood that there is NO working 4G-Stick. Only a few UMTS sticks work. Via XDA-Developer found out that there are 4G sticks that are recognized as USB-to-Ethernet devices. Then I bought the HUAWEI E3372 LTE Surfstick. However, this does not work out-of-the-box with the radio. After a lot of manual work and learning-by-doing (installing an unofficial firmware), I managed to make it work now. The only disadvantage is that I no longer have a hotspot for other devices in the car.
Best regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Appreciate your answer, many thanks.
I am running hal9k ROM. If you have more detailed instructions, it works be great if you could share them with me.
Meanwhile I am trying to get a replacement device, as it is still under warranty and was bought in uk.
Thank you!

Fellow suffer as well.
Any chance of a link or hint of a guide to modify the E3372 stick?
Modifying E3372 was a tough stuff, actually. A lot of try-and-error. At one point I even thought to have bricked the stick.
Anyway, I got all information from following thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an.../real-3g-4g-usb-modem-sticks-px5-px4-t3898344
On page 3, a link to a russian site is provided:

I do not speak russian, so I used the DeepL Translator in order to translate everything.
To sum up, you need to install a modified webui und firmware which supports ethernet-over-usb (CDC) mode. The Versions I am using are:
E3272s-153_Update_22.491.09.00.00_M_AT_05.10
WebUI 17.100.17.00.143

OnePlus 7 pro wifi problems

Hi guys, I got my OnePlus 7 pro at the time of release, and up to now it's been through all of the updates etc. But I have a major problem with using WiFi. Sometimes it works normally, but other times, images won't load, or downloading images from apps such as WhatsApp takes forever. Images such as profile pictures don't load either or will take a very long time. However watching video on YouTube etc is all fine. I'm very confused at to this issue and wondering if anyone else knows anything about it.
Thankyou!
By the way, using mobile data works fine and everything loads properly.
I would recommend factory reset at this point. This beast is fast as hell on wifi. No issues here.
I've also had this issue sometimes. It pops back up every now and then but what fixed it in most apps was going into router/modem settings and make sure that the time(what tells the router your local area's current time) is being controlled by your ISP and not by the internet.

Wi-Fi connected but Internet isn't working

Hi,
I am totally newbie in all of these, so I might not understand all the abbreviations - comprehensive replies are welcome
Patient is PX5 MTCE_LM
Some time ago my Head Unit just stopped receiving Internet connection. It connects to Wi-Fi or BT hotspot, but that's it. Web pages are not loading, YT not working, neither any online app. I have not changed anything in setting and make any updates. It just stopped. I don't recall now, but it might have occured for first time after my battery died? (Its been a while since its dead). Rebooted multiple times, also disconnected battery, but it didn't help. Any chance of fixing it or is it HW issue?

Check your time and date after a battery failure. If the date is too far out, a security feature will not let it connect.
