Few days ago I updated my Motorola Defy to Froyo.
After I updated I noticed the market had the old version, I found a zip file of the new version and flashed it, everything seemed to be fine, the market was working well, but then I tried to update an application and it suddenly gave me a FC...
I even tried reflashing a different zip but it still gave me the error.
Since then I can't access the market..
Anyone knows what's the problem/how can I fix it?
Thanks.
Does it occur when you try to update one particular application or any appliation?
I don't know, because The first application I wanted to update already caused it, and if it matters, and I don't think it does, it was Basketball Shot
did you give it a chance to automatically update the market for you? When I flashed to a new rom on my Captivate, it was still on the old market for a few minutes until it installed to the new version.
Yeah.. I waited for 2 days and it didn't update it.

Just wondering if anyone else have seen GAPPS for tegra. I have downloaded the signed UPDATE and it works beautifully.
Really appreciate the XDA community for all the help.

Thanks. I'll give it a try...
So far, no joy. I installed it, wiped cache, and now get FC's. I will try to work around it, but will probably have to go back to backup.
Good find, though.
flashed fine on cm6. lost sound though. not sure if that is because of this or because of something else. will report back after more research.
i even tried with the newer update 3316 and it works fine. The only problem i had was i updated to the newer market and it started crashing. i flashed 3316 and installed gapps and no problems.
One thing i have done differently though is to put the FRF91 key in the build props before install the GAPPS. It took couple of tries for the market to work properly.
Isn't this the original gapps that we've had for a month, now? I see the Htc stuff in there, which kind of tipped me off.
I actually pulled the Htc stuff and some other things out, back when I used it for TnT Lite.
Well the date signature seems to be recent so i guess it's possible.

Not sure... but here is a link - they are all listed at the bottom of the page.

The file name gives it away. 20101020 obviously means 20th October. So yeah, not new

3316 + GAPPS work great! thanx!
didn't install the new Market but was able to do Market fix (w/o TI Backup)...
Well, updated my pirme rom to 2.1 last night... (maybe should write in the prime thread, but i don't have 10 posts yet so I can't) Discovered when I tried to install GTA 3 this morning that I couldn't find it on the market app. went to the online version, but when i tried to install it there, nothing happened. I soon discovered why, because of the update of Prime, the Model Number on the settings screen had changed to "TF101 G" from previoslu only "TF101". I have tried editing the build.prop and sending the apk from my phone to the TF, but no luck on getting it running yet? Any way of changing the Model Number without ****ing something up? Also tried wiping cache btw...
I posted same issue this morning for the same reason.

Looks like it's the same in revolver too.
sorry, didn't see that thread. Well, let's just hope a solution will be available soon...
Searched before asking, came up empty.
I tried upgrading to various ICS roms from on the forum. Every single one give me the same problems with market/play: Server error. I can not connect to the market. I never had a problem with honeycomb, and I've tried various roms and different versions of gapps. Also my cellphone (Huawei U8800) connects fine. I'm downloading the NVflash stock version now to try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524302
Any ideas on what may be the problem or what I can try to fix it?
The only possible thing I can think of is that because I'm in China it doesn't like the ICS versions of market/play, but that doesn't really make much sense.
Update: The NVFlash stock non-rooted version didn't work. Tried downloading and manually updating to the latest Google play, still got server error. Downgraded back to Honeycomb, didn't work. I ended up having to use a “Chinese Market" whose name I shouldn't mention. At least I can get adobe flash and the rest of the basics. Thanks Google. Even better was the "Chinese Market" updated Google play.

I had the same problem, full wipe, installed different ROMs didn't help.
If you have a VPN to US for once, the problem will resolve, after that the Market/Play will work even outside of US. The problem is on Google side.
(this belongs elsewhere but 10 posts...)
I have a rooted S4 and just installed Dandvh's Google Play Edition v.20150919 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539361) rom. I used TWRP to install, wiping everything but internal storage, then flashed the rom. Installed fine, no errors. Took the usual bit of extra time to boot the first time then up and running clean and stable. The issue is that the OTA Updater app doesn't work, severely limiting my ROM options. It didn't install as part of the rom install, though I'm not sure if it's normal to just get it off the play store. I get an error message about not being compatible with the ROM and can't access it (error message screen cap below). Just in case, I wiped the phone and flashed again just to be sure, same result. The OTA Updater is important as this is where you can change kernals, audioFX stuff, toggle advanced power menus, and quite a bit more. When I used this ROM during the first part of the year OTA Updater worked just fine but I switched off in July to try another ROM so maybe something with the ROM has changed? I tried searching for any comments in the thread to indicate either that something changed with OTA Updater or if anyone else had a similar problem, found nothing. Would appreciate if anyone might know why OTA Updater isn't working or how I might correct it. Thanks.
Edit #1: I haven't changed the model number to SGH-M919 (as seen in the screen cap) in build.prop yet as if I can't get this ROM to work right I'll need to flash something else.
Edit #2: I noted in the patch notes that the ROM was updated for OTA Updater 2.4.2 and I was running 2.5.3 so I uninstalled it and installed 2.4.2. No luck there either.

I'm telling you guys something I've never seen before.
I bought a Realme 5 Pro (EU version it seems), and noticed that the installed ROM is quite old (November patched). So I tried looking for updates in the settings app, but there was none. Then I went to realme website:
https://www.realme.com/eu/support/software-update
And downloaded this ROM from that website:
https://download.c.realme.com/osupdate/RMX1971EX_11_OTA_0160_all_gOztiTWijElq.ozip
I went to the default file manager and clicked on it, and the update started right away, finishing after 2-3 minutes.
After the phone booted with the new ROM, everything was okay. The FM radio app went missing, but it was said in the changelog, so that didn't matter to me.
Then the most bizarre thing happened.
I went to the file manager and clicked on the ROM file once again, being damn sure that the update will not take place, because I've already installed this update. But the system accepted the update, rebooted to recovery, and started the whole charade one more time, including showing the percentage. It took exactly the same time as before.
I was half expecting something to go wrong, but to my relief everything was alright. After booting, the ROM version was the same as before (after updating the first time). Nothing changed.
I have never seen anything like this before. I have used phones from many manufacturers, but Everytime I try to update the system with the same ROM version as the one already installed, it would refuse the update, UNLIKE REALME.
Perfectly fine same on other oppo device
Try hard reset
After that,go to settings>update, and update it
