Hi,
I'm a beginner with Mortscript (for PPC)...
I've writed a script that, when running together with the GPS software (2Nav), elaborates in realtime the data retrived and stored by the GPS (in the TRK file).
What I need is to see in the taskbar (upper right little button) the icon relevant to my mortscript running, so that I can decide to view the windows of my script or the windows of the others programs running.
(I'm using mortscript 4.3, WM 6.1, HTC touchDiamond)
Thanks a lot!

Anyone tried Tomtom7 on a tornado with WM6.1 Standard?
Curious to see if it work.
it works on my vox (s710), so probably will work on the tornado. problem is you don't have a touchscreen so you need a program like fakecursor to emulate the mouse.
Hi, were did you find Tomtom 7 for windows mobile please? I thought it wasn't available for PDAs...
[edit] Ok sorry, i found it!
also tried it on my tornado and it works. i took the files from ttnav_7.450.9028_repack3 found on the internet. The install-cab file doesn't work on the tornado, but i copied the TomTom Navigator.exe and data.chk file to program files\Navigator directory and made a shortcut in the startmenu myself.
So the program works, but you need to emulate the mouse to be able to use it. It is much like Navigator 6. But give it a try and see for yourself
sorry for the bad photo quality (taken with my s710)

Works the same on my brother's Tornado with WM6.5 Standard ENG OCOS 5.2.21234(Build21234.5.0.1)ver.1.0 Lite by Gregorys Rom.
I'm also working on a TomTom Launcher that looks for TomTom executable in device or storage card, allow to select screen rotation, fixes TomTom window moving to background (sometimes) and keeps screen alive during navigation. Hope to solve also Fake cursor issue when screen is in landscape mode (by a lightweight dpad hook). Exiting TomTom restores initial phone conditions.
It requires .net CF2, WMtequan.cab and TDM.cab installed first.

It worked on my startrek and pretty much works on tornado. I just need to reactivate the maps. I use the blue version- there's a link in the startrek forum.
On my cooked Dutty 2.7 WM6.1 Blackstone I found a very good and free utility called RegEdit (it has a PINK reddish icon).
I would like to downoad this programm (I guess a cab) and install to my Topaz.
If I make a google research with keywords windows mobile RegEdit utility I found dozen of apps, but none is the one I look for.
Can someone point me to the right direction?
Thanks
Saulo
Some more details: This utility, RegEdit, is under "Programs > System Tools"
Thanks
Saulo
From what you've described, that sounds like the registry editing function of FDCsoft Task Manager. Download this .cab, install it, then run it and go to Menu (softkey)>Options>"Create RegEdit Shorcut", and you're all set.

Hello,
I installed WM 6.5 SDK. In emulator it looks good, but i don't want to install 6.5 on my phone, because some people done it have trouble with some programs (e.g. Opera Mobile 9.7). But it's possible to extract all the Chome files and registry values. Using RomExtractor by GreateVK I got Today DLL, mui, and using Total Commander registry values from HKLM/Software/Microsoft/CHome/ and HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Today/Items/Windows Default. Will it work on WM 6.1, and is it possible to port so that work? Copying files and adding registry keys do not take effect. System core version in 6.1 and 6.5 is 5.2. Are there some big core/system differences, not UI differences?
Thank you)
Did you get all registry trees?
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\"Windows Default"
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome
HKLM\Security\CHome
Which DLLs and such files did you extract?
yes, security.... i'll try... files? chome.dll, chomeres.dll, chomeres.dll.mui, chomewmpplugin.dll
cmhome.dll is also linking XmlLite.dll, which is not existing on WM 6
I forgot to mention, of course you also need the Titanium*.cpr files.... And all PNG files which are used as icons in the Titanium panels.
Hi
I got the windows mobile 6.5 os for the HTC topaz.
I search the advanced parameters (the parameters we had with windows 6.1) for example to get access to the GPS port being used.
Where these parameters are accessible in windows 6.5 ? Seems they are been hided.
Another question. My os works with a carrousel (very like the 6.1). But i saw many preview movies about wm6.5 with a vertical menu and not a carrousel.
Can be this changed or configured ?
Very thanks

Welcome to forums
Do a search for advanced config and install it
Try a different cooked ROM (I'm assuming you have a cooked ROM). In 6.5, a lot of the control panel options are hidden by default (such as keyboard and owner settings), and some chefs forget to tweak the registry to allow them to appear. There are registry settings which can be changed by the user to allow them to reappear, but I can't remember them right now. Try a search, and see what comes up.
As for the carousel, I'm not sure what you're referring to. Is it the TouchFLO start menu? If so, there's a registry tweak (here) to disable that which will return the start menu to the vertical one you're referring to. Hope that helps.
Hello community, I do have a question regarding the file where I could programmatically toggle the camera LED flash. For example on Android I was able to write a Python script that would go into that file in the the system to replace the "0" to a "1" which would enable a steady burn of the LED. I've never really messed around with Windows Mobile and of course it's much different than what I'm used to (Android).
My device is an HTC Apache (xv6700) which originally ran WM5 but I flashed a fairly stable 6.5 ROM on it. I also have another Apache running WM5 and an xv6800 (Mogul) running 6.1. I'm not sure how much difference there is in the OS versions.
Is this a simple process or does it go more in depth with vast amounts of WM knowledge required? I was going to attempt the LED toggle (if possible) using the Python interpreter I found for WM. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!
