[Q] Custom Accent Colors and Theme Help - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I installed the Advanced Configuration .xap from TouchXperience and set my custom accent color to Black. I also have the TouchXperience Registry Editor installed.
But now that my accent color is black, I can't see what volume I am at on that little "drop down" status bar. Is there anyway to change the color of the volume indicator or the background of that status bar?
Also, with having the accent color set to black, I can't see the time stamp text in the text messaging app. Is there anyway to change the color of that text?
Thanks.
If it makes a difference, I have the HTC Surround.

have the same problem, please help

...oh you dun a bad thing I had to reset after that...

I probably wouldn't have to reset if I saved the defualt settings for the values I changed, but of course I didn't.
If someone could post the default values for the following dark themes that would be grand:
PageBackgroundColor
SysTrayBackgroundColor
Chromecolor

How to change menu font color & highlight bar

Good evening,
would anyone know who I could change the subject colors on my WM5 smartphone (app or registry change).
I tried cetuner.exe but it freezes.
Thanxx, Mixx
(I am actually testing an Samsung i600 that has RED menu text color and ORANGE highlight bar. I just can't stand it).

How to change the colour of a disappearing ok/close in a dialog?

Since I changed some colours with UI Tweaker, the ok/close in dialog boxes disappeared. Probably because the ok/close is black on a black background. Maybe it was changed when I selected Black Bars for taskbar and softkeys. After a soft reset, it is visible a few times and then it always disappears again. This never happens with the ok/close in the top task bar, only in windows like in the attached image.
Please see the attached screen capture where there should be an ok/close button on the top right of the dialog to close QuickClear (red arrow).
After a long search on the forum and Google, I didn't find any solution yet.
I am using a Mio A201 with WM 5.
Could you please help with:
- the location and name I have to search for in UI Tweaker to change this colour?
- the registry key to change it?
- the change to make in the theme or elsewhere?
Thanks for your help.
THe quick way to do this is to change the theme on settings/today.
This should then make the ok visible. The UI tweek settings only apply to the theme that you were using it on when you changed the settings.... thats how i got round it anyway when i got carried away and turned all text black on black backgrounds

Changing the theme was not enough, I also had to delete the registry entries under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\"name of theme".tsk
and then reload the theme, then it was ok.
Thanks very much for your help.

Want black notification bar with white letters in cyanogen 6? It's easy, here's how.

I'm gonna scream! This is the third time I've tried typing this how to out.... Don't ask...
Anyways, I will tell you what to do to change the colors on the first one. Then after that, I will give the section, each entry and it's color, then wrap it up. I'm not going to write a book like I did before.
Let's go!
At home screen, menu/cyanogenmod settings/user interface. Render effect = no render effect. Status bar section. I didn't want battery percentage, so I unchecked it. Clock color. Move outside of color wheel to white. Tap the dot in the center of the color wheel to confirm that's the color you want. I wanted show dbm. Set that color to white.
Back key once. Date and provider. In plmn carrier string, the two check boxes should be checked. Carrier plmn label color = black. Make sure to tap the dot in the center of the color wheel when you change a color or your new choice won't stick. Settings for spn carrier string. Both check boxes checked. Carrier spn label color is black.
Back key once. Notifications colors. Notifications ticker color = white. Notifications count color is white. No notification title color is white. Clear notifications label color is black. Ongoing notifications title color is white. Latest notifications title color is white.
Scroll down some. Items title color is black. Items text color is black. Items time color is black. Check custom notifications bar check box. Bar color is black.
Now keep hitting back key until you are back to the home screen. Reboot the phone. When phone comes back up, everything "should" be correct color now. Let me know if it worked. It took me some trial and error, and a lot of reboots, before I think all the colors look as they should for the notification bar.
I don't know how to change the slide down notifications drawer to white on black. If I did, that would be like the icing on the cake... Sorry.

I the background the hard way...replaced the "statusbar_background.9.png" in framework-res with my own. and as far as the background of the notifications LIST, I believe youll have to change the "status_bar_background.png" within the framework-res as well... At least thats what I did.

Jellybean/ICS - Change selected icon glow.

Greetings,
After searching the forums I was wondering if it was possible to change the background glow when an icon is selected and then the color of the outline of the icon as it is dragged around the home screen. I have successfully changed many of my current launchers colored bits to red however I still am unable to change the glow and outline effect. After downloading different themes for Cm9 I know it is possible to change it from the stock color of blue to any other color (red in this case), however the location of the color code or png is lost to me. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks!

[Q] ui element changes-

I have the option to change ui element colors and transparency such as the stauts bar on PA primou. But when I make any changes it does nothing...
Any ideas?
Thanks.
... well actually "nothing" is not accurate- it shows the change such as from white to red in the little box on the menu, but the change does not actually take effect.
do these type of changes only stick after a reboot? or is does it have to do with some sort of locked theme preference?
