Quadrant score van 1100 => 1450 - Desire Android Development

Found a nice tutorial which explains how to compile a new kernel with 3 patches starting from the bravo stock sources.
http://arighi.blogspot.com/2011/01/howto-install-custom-kernel-on-htc.html
One of the patches is the BFS scheduler.
I compiled the kernel with -O3 optimization and left out some things (e.g. PPP, IPv6).
Procedure went flawless (but of course requires certain level of linux skill).
After running Quadrant with this new kernel my score went up from 1100 to 1437 (with setrCPU to keep the 1GHz frequency on).

Note that I am using the stock Sense ROM (OTA upgraded to the HTC Froyo update). The compiled kernel can be installed using Clockworkmod recovery.

I'm not sure what is best to set my phone to where it's the most helpful. If anyone has a screenshot of what you think is best I would like to see it. I'm running the Miui rom 1200mhz/80vsel
My profile settings...
I have a question, I should have learned this by now. How can I set a custom vsel setting? I try settings in milestone Overclock and it doesnt work?
I use the custom settings in Milestone Overclock (?). Note you have to move the slider all the way to the right & then apply the custom settings.

How about posting scores running at stock CPU speed 1024Mhz (or as near to stock speed as your kernel permits) as some ROMS only run stock kernel and therefore can't OC
Quadrant score of 2035 running 2.10.401.4 with stock kernel, as per screenshot

So what's your score?
2089 - 1.0Ghz
2954 - 1.5Ghz
Also theres already two or three of these threads, you should have bumped them.
Also it allows to compare the newer builds/ROMs to older builds/ROMs.
Also just because the ROM I'm running scored higher than yours, doesn't mean which ever ROM I am running is better, there are more factors than a pointless basic "benchmarking" application can speculate.

[TWEAK] JellyBean multi user mode

I saw this article on XDA homepage and decided to give it a go on our Desire S running CM10.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1807751
It works like a charm. Although hiding settings as shown on the original thread don't work as it isn't merged into CM10 tet.
All steps on the original thread.

Agreed! I love the concept but needs further work!
I try this, but secondary profil is only for guest not for next full user. Works other full profile or only guest with limited rights?
why not just use the app?

Kernel Selection...

I am trying to pick between several kernels. Namely:
1. Furnace OC
2. ElementalX .45 (current)
3. Trinity
4. Bricked
And
5. Uber
I am running the 443 version of DirtyUnicorns and loving it. I really prefer to have s2w; and even more preferably bidirectional s2w like on ElementalX and Furnace.
Thanks,

these threads arent allowed on xda. you have to try these kernels and decide on your own. there are no magic kernels, you decide whats best for your needs and device.
No one can really tell you what the best choice is. Sorry.
The very first thread at the top of this page is titled "No best rom/Kernel threads".....
reading is hard?
