hey guys...
here are some vga themes that i made and have been using for some time...

You might wan't to consider pokeing around on this site: www.pocketpcthemes.com they must have nearly a million themes my now.

It's quite easy to make your own themes using McDebs or Thememaker X.. I usually just do my own themes when I want a theme with my girl's picture on it..and if I want something else.. this site already has everything.

at the expense of sounding boastful, most of the themes i came across the web (apart from a couple which were part of a theme suite) were...let us say the last option in this thread's poll.
not to sound disrespectful to any one but dude i am not intrested in some semi naked obese ugly female staring at me when i turn on my pda.
some people might say that my themes are crap, but hey i like them..and i wanted to share them with you.

Dude, is it just me or they they f*** up the visibility of text? I m still on wm5(universal) and take a look at how the contacts or any PIM app is getting displayed. This is NOT happening with any other theme

I am currently working on my next version of my Thearmo theme, and while going through all the files I decided to make all of the taskbar icons have a transparent background, so they don't show up black on my blue/grey taskbar. It took me forever, so I thought I'd spare some of you the trouble and share them with you, so you could use them on your themes. I didn't do all of them, because I don't use some of the original ones anyway...but I did do a lot of them!
Just download the zip file (NO, IT'S NOT FLASHABLE!!!), and replace the old files with the clear background ones. Again, I didn't do all of them, but at least it will save you some time. Here's the file:

lol I borrowed some from Noj and went through and did a ton myself for my burnt hero theme, I just hadnt gotten around to ziping them up great work man.

Also, does anyone know if there are any other HTC APK taskbar icons that get used a lot, that have the black background on them? I've edited all the ones that I usually see (market, download, sound recorder), but want to get the rest for everyone. Apps only please. Thanks!

Hey...if you and I combine the clear icons that we've made, we'd probably have a complete set of them for all the themers/devs to use. What do you think about that?

Hey DirtyShroomz....this is simply a zip full of files for the themers, so that when they create custom taskbars (not black), they'll have icons that don't have that ugly black square around them to make their taskbar look ugly. It's not for flashing or anything like that. Hope that helps.

CRAP!! These aren't gonna work, because the layers (in photoshop), are messing with the png files...so they don't actually show up on the taskbar. I'm gonna have to work on them some more. It'll be a while. Thanks for the patience.

Ok! I uploaded the new batch of icons. They definitely work. Download on the first post.

Steampunk Theme... I think I've done it!

I have collected icons, walls, made some of my own stuff and compiled it all into a steampunk theme running on the 31-DEC release of Vanilla Froyo2.2 CM6.2.1.
First off I need to give credit to manup465 and tekrodriguez for the work they did in the other droid forums.

I don't know if anyone is interested in this... i did some modifications to a lot of the core app .apk's and it could possibly cause problems if you're running a different theme. I'm not going to post an theme.zip unless you let me know that you really want it. This was more to prove to myself I could pull it off. Let me know what y'all think!

Umm... there is a ridiculously huge thread devoted to the rom I'm running... it's over in the development section... i believe jaybob413 is the originator of the thread and it has had many, many updates. I believe it's still on page one of the development section... says Froyo2.2 right in the subject line.
to everyone else... I'm happy to make my wallpaper and icons available to you, but to theme your phone you'd have to manually change your framework-res.apk and the application .apk files yourselves. I'm sorry, but with a family and two jobs, I don't have that kind of time. I'll try to work on a zip file to make the image files available sometime soon.

Yes... it's ADW launcher. I'll post the images asap. Unfortunately, LauncherPro only allows you to change the images of the dockbar. ADW allows you to change the images of any non-widget on the desktop. However, in my mod, I actually took the time to change the framework-res.apk and the application .apk's so it shows up changed in the drawer as well. I just don't have time to do that for everyone. sorry!

second, i would like to kindly and respectfully request a new theme, a pink theme... is for my wife lol, she has her white xperia x10 and i have showed her about all the themes that are on this forum and even though i LOVE them, she doesnt, she wants pink. I wish i had the skills and knowledge to do the things you guys do. but i dont, therefore I will be donating to the one who creates it. I searched the forum but didnt find anything, all i saw was more people asking for girly themes, so i wont be the only one benefiting from this. Thanks a lot. and hope to see something soon
