last evening I unlocked my samsung captivate using Nwolf's method.
everything worked and i was happy until i thought of checking the network status using the code #7465625#..
the response i get is "rejected".
I searched the for this problem on the net some people were talking about turning the "mobile tracker" off.
i searched on my captivate for this option in location and security but there is no option as such (to my horror).
is anything wrong with my captivate? i have faithfully followed Nwolf's instructions to the letter.
somebody please help...
FOUND SOLUTION i missed the * before #...
but still would like to know whether other captivate owners have the "mobile tracker" option in "location and security".
No, never saw 'Mobile Tracker' in there.
ok that's something to relieve me. I was thinking may be i made some mistake in the process.
thanks a lot.
I have it. I'm running Andromeda 1.0.

Is it just me, or is everyone having to [Agree] to the onerous "My Location" warning EVERY TIME GPS is enabled? Please, someone help make it stop!
I have root access, am running ED2 (Debloated 4.1)....
Thanks,

Same problem and something I want to try and fix then.
I thought this was just me but that is another IFT thing about this phone.
I concur... This has been annoying the hell out of me since my automation of GPS by using the Tasker app. Would be great if it could be removed.
happening here.
Hi,
I`ve succesfully installed RC3.1 as described in the thread elsewhere on these boards.
However, I do not have any mobile network coverage and cannot text or message.
I have updated the kernal as well, used the one on the same page as instructions for installing ICS.
Anyone have any idea how I can fix this or whats gone wrong? I like the look of Android 4, but its not much use without network coverage.
Many thanks
I`ve found this as a solution to the lack of mobile network, but I dont exactly understand what it means!
Could someone spell it out for me in with step by step laymens terms!
Just wanted to add that the 3g appears to be working since I am receiving emails through gmail via the phone.
My IMEI number is showig and it says mobile network state as connected.
Mobile Network type is UMTS:3
Under Service Status though it says `Out of Service`
Is there any way Orange would be able to block my phone been used with ICS? Because thats what it seems like. If I revert back to Gingerbread everything works again, but I like this ICS and would rather keep it if possible.
Thanks again for any advice
I'm having the same problem. 4.0.3 rc4.2 from sgssgs.
Hi,
Just got my Galaxy Relay in the mail last night. So far I'm liking it for the most part (aside from the crapload of bloat). Only real issue I'm having is that my WiFi calling is constantly trying to connect and fails with ER06 "SIM Not Ready". I got this error both before and after doing the OTA to JB. I'm coming from the HTC G2 where WiFi calling worked more or less perfectly, so I know my account/SIM supports it. Already double checked my SIM card to make sure it's the new model needed for WiFi calling. Noticed my e911 address was an old address so I updated that (not that it should really matter as long as I have an address there). Also updated my device in my tmo account settings in case that might make a difference. Updated all this stuff last night and still getting the same error. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas what to try next? Thanks for the help.
Jeff
One more quick piece of info - the first thing I did when I took the phone out of the box was followed the steps for SIM unlocking the phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255892. I haven't been able to test with a different SIM card yet to verify the unlock worked, but I'm wondering if this could have screwed up the WiFi calling. Can anyone verify whether WiFi calling still works after SIM unlocking?
Ok good news everyone! After some more searching the wide wide webs I found some info for other phones having the same problem and the solution was to call up tmo and have them reset your iHLR settings. Don't know what it means but I told the support rep to try it and he knew what I meant. After he did it he told me to restart the phone and that it could take up to 2 hours to have an effect (probably just an easy way for him to get out of the chat session). But anyway as soon as I rebooted it was working. Hope this is useful for other people who bump into this problem. Thanks!
Jeff
Disabled Wi-Fi calling. Problem Solved.
Hi buddies!
I have a BIG problem with my Note 5 and I'm getting tired of find a solution, I have the "Not Registered on Network" problem on my SM-N920V, I've been looking on the net for a solution but has to be with "root" or "type on the dialer" and this version doesn't have root yet :crying: and everything I type on the dialer says "not registered on network", also I read some threads here and I didn't find anything that could help me with. Also I download the "Check Fus" and I found that my product code is "not active".
At this point I don't what else to do, if someone could give an option to try I will appreciate because I'd been suffering those days trying to solve my problem.
Thank you so much for your time
You are trying to use a Verizon device on telcel's network? I don't think there will be a solution for you, rooted or not.
Exactly my friend, that's what i'm trying to do, the phone is already unlocked but I can't connect to the network and don't know what else do to...
Thanks...
Hi,
I have the following problem. Problems After Samsung Update - Sim Deactivated I get "Sim Deactivated" This is not my provider, I am well ahead on both account.
I have 2 Sim cards [In Ireland].
48.ie
GoMo.ie
Both work for web browsing etc, anything that needs the net is fine. Its just the calls that won't work. I have searched and searched and not found a solution that actually applies.
Its an S10 - SM-G973/DS Provider of phone Eircom.
Any help MUCH appreciated as I am getting very fed up with no calling.
Cheers - Shaun
Here are a couple of screenshots, they show much more detail about the phone. Also have I posted in the correct forum?
Wow,
Whenever I have used XDA in the past, the users have been so helpful. I cannot be the only user affected by this.
There must be a way of reactivating my cards, or changing a setting somewhere? I have already done a full reset which changed nothing.
Cheers - Shaun
Wow,
Thanks guys. Reverting to old stock ROM.
