I'm not sure about everyone's preference here to what cases they enjoy, but I have been emailing http://www.speckproducts.com/products/by_device about them making a case for the Nexus One. They have some really nice fitted cases for iPhones and Blackberrys and would love to get one on my N1.
Anyone else interested can submit a request as I did.

I just noticed this is in general section. Can a moderator move this to accessories please. Sorry

Hi,
I would say without a doubt Vaja are the best makers of phone cases in the world. They allow you to customise your choice of case & hand make to order.
The best famous case they make is the Iphone Ivolution cases.
I have opened a thread previously in accessories section requesting people to contact vaja via the Vaja home page to make a Ivolution case for the Nexus One.
If you search on the net "Iphone Ivolution" you will know what I am talking about.
At the moment I have settled with using a Sena Ultraslim Brown pouch.
Here is a few more good companies that make cases.

Thanks

I've owned vaja cases for my ex n95 8gb. I really like the look of the speck products. I wwas hoping more people would see them and ask if they would make one for the N1. I dont think they would unless there is a demand for it. But thank for your suggestions

I would love a Speck case. On my wife's iPhone, we use the hard shell case (silicone inside, hard shell outside) and my toddler BEATS it up. She throws it down the steps and practically everywhere else and the phone still looks brand new (been about a year with same case).
emailed speck
Check out the seidio website ill be getting one of those. Was looking for a case that covers the volume rocker and etc.

I'm definitely interested in this case, but after previously dealing with Seidio, I'm not sure if its gonna be worth it!
If the clips are designed differently from the Innocase, I might consider one, but if they are the same, I will wait for OtterBox to make something nice.
Wow, that actually looks pretty good, and they sell the case/belt clip combo for 49.99. Look at the picture of the area of the case that goes near the microphone, it looks really ill-cut..hopefully it will be more refined when they are released!
yep, i have it in my seidio wish list cart, and have even emailed them to hurry up last week. Looks like the best case i can find. Although if otterbox decides to make one, i might regret this purchase. But otterbox doesnt make many cases for sliders. Hopefully this one.

Otter will release a case for this phone I would imagine they did for the moment.

This is not true! Otterbox makes many sliding phone cases, including cases for the Droid, Droid 2, Palm Pre, Samsung Moment, etc. They make the Commuter case, which is more or less like the Seidio Active case.
But people, I recommend waiting until Amazon has the Active cases in stock.
I bought the Seidio Innocase for $29.99 from Seidio, and a week later, Amazon had the exact same case for $23 with FREE 2 day shipping. :\

i meant in comparison to seidio, they make fewer slider cases. Sedio does almost any phone, otterbox... just the hot ones.
Seidio Innocase Rugged
I received a survey from Seidio developers yesterday asking me if I would be interested in buying an Innocase Rugged even if they weren't able to make it fit with the sliding keyboard feature. I responded saying that the Sprint Epic 4g was the only phone in the Galaxy S line in this country that had a keyboard and that it is one of the main reasons anyone would buy a Galaxy S phone from Sprint versus any other carrier. I recommended that if they can't build it so that we're able to open our sliding keyboard then they should just focus on making a huge extended battery for us instead
The only issue i have is that they need to make good tabs especially for the bezel. When i first got the official sprint case with the grip on the back i loved it but the tabs broke the second time i took it off. I recently got a replacement and the tabs are perfect. The only issue i have with all these cases is that the bezel is always some plastic round crap. I have a great idea that would help out for a rugged seidio case and prevents the thick bezel to influence the keyboard. If you just look at the cases available for epic and think really hard you can get a game changer for slider phone case. But companies stay generic so eeehhhh.
Id prefer themmaking it easier to remove

I don't know if anyone has seen this, but the active x case is now available in black only.

Good to know! What's the difference between this and the Innocase? Is this more durable?
The Active cases are similar to the Otterbox Commuter or Casemate Tough.
A rubber skin with plastic shell outside. I'm considering the blue active once they show up on amazon.
I'm wary of Seidios quality though because the active case my friend got for her Evo has been shedding since she got it. The active case plastic shell seems to break easily at the corner apparently also.
posted from a EPIC4G.
Yeah between the Evo innocases damaging the phone, and the Epic innocases not fitting properly, I'm expecting to be unpleasantly surprised =\
BUT that's why Amazon is the best, its so easy to return stuff =]
Is anyone interested in the desire hd/inspire innocase II cases available soon on seidios website?
Hell yeah! Ditching my problemed captivate and my beloved seidio rugged case and holster for an inspire. Great to know I will be able to get the same case

I got the Platinum case from Best Buy made for the Inspire (it is my understanding that is basically the Seido II Innocase rebranded). It came with the belt clip, which I have no use for. It seems like a very nice case - snug fit, easy to install (little bit more difficult to take off, but not too bad overall), slides easily in and out of my pocket, felt lining on the inside.
Only downside is that it seems that it may not provide the best shock absorption if it was dropped from a decent height, but I'm not going to test it to know for sure.
I've ordered the Speck Candy Shell from AT&T and the Otterbox Commuter for the DHD. I'll see which one of the three I like the best and likely return the other two.
So far though, no complaints about the PT case.
sharkeye.com
Don’t know about that. However, if you really want a super well protected rugged iPhone case, check out those sharkeye cases. They’ll protect your phone from anything especially the screen. It can be found at sharkeye.com.
^ lol (just needed to add that. the rest of the post was because i felt like adding more content to the thread)
I've got the PT case from best buy also. its a nice case but it made it more difficult to press the power button. somewhat difficult to place phone in the holster without 2 hands also.
I swore off Seidio after the blatantly jerked the early HTC WinMo owners around on Car kits. The had a great one for the original HTC Wizard, and then kept feeling the waters for car kits for the successors, without any progress.
Anyway, they make nice stuff, but if they say "it's coming" don't hold your breath...
Hey guys,
I got my hands on the Commuter series case from Otterbox, for the One X. I'm sure most of you have seen or own a variant of this case. It is a very popular style, composed of two parts, a plastic shell that wraps around a TPU membrane. This model fits particularly well, but not too tight, which I love. It offers fantastic protection, although it is a bit pricey.

Awesome. Thank you for sharing!
Nice review! So far I like the case. Only complain is what was mentioned in the review, power button is a little hard to press. Other than that, the phone is very well protected!

I love otterbox cases other than the fact that they don't work with docks. Htc implemented the dock connector dots on the lower right region of the back so that is obviously covered and usually the port covers prevent the phone from being used with Mic USB docks as well.
Thanks for the review.

I just picked it up today just to have a case for when I'm at work and I must say... I hate it. It is a pain in the ass to put on and take off and it adds too much bulk to such a sleek phone. It's also pretty ugly by my standards. It will do for now but I hope something better comes along.
Also to the OP- the inner part is most definitely not TPU. It's silicone.
Good review, could you do a video review on the HTC ONE X DEFENDER SERIES CASE? im really thinking about getting it but i dont know if it just going to look to big. Also by us using these cases... will it make your phone over heat and drain the battery faster?
Thanks

Sorry to say, but I no longer have the One X. My uncle who lives abroad wanted it, so I bought it for him and used it for a couple of weeks before sending it to him. For that reason I won't be able to review the Defender series case.
I do have 1 last final review coming up which I hope will help.
With regards to your final question, I didn't notice any issues with battery drain to be honest with you. It will run hotter since the heat cannot dissipate as evenly, but I don't think it is too serious.
Nice review, I might pick this up.
i have this case too. while it does add a lot of bulk, it is worth it for the protection
Yet another "which case" thread (sorry.) Siedio Active vs. Otterbox Commuter?
I've been using a couple of different TPU cases, but I'm tired of the hit-or-miss quality control on them. They get the job done, but I think it's time for a proper case instead of going the cheap route.
I'm totally torn between the Otterbox Commuter and the Seidio Active cases. Both are dual layer (silicon and hard shell,) and are around the same price. I like the look of the Otterbox case more, but have heard horror stories about the silicon stretching out rather quickly. The Seidio seems to be designed to avoid this problem, but lacks the port covers and sleek look of the Otterbox.
Out of the two, which is better in terms of build quality, durability, button stiffness, and least bulky? Since they offer the same protection, I'm more concerned with those aspects... I just want a quality case that will last a long time without being warrantied due to design flaws (like I've heard about the Otterbox.)
So, what do you suggest?
I've been using the Otterbox Commuter series for almost 5 months now and the silicon is still intack.
I have both and I can honestly say they were good but I got tired of the big bulky phone look. I recently purchased this one and to be honest I love it better then the other two.

As for which of the two I liked better? I like the otterbox better. I used it more. Hope this helps.

Haha, that is actually the case I'm using now. It's okay, but I don't care for the way it is concave along the top edge, and the fit is a little off. I'm now looking for a higher quality case, that will protect my device for as long as I own it. I'm not too concerned with a little bulk, as I've had a case on it since I got it.
Thanks for the replies so far, please keep them coming!
I've been using the Otterbox Commuter case for a while now and I love it. Only complaint is the headphone port cover that doesn't like staying in. Not a big deal though. Love the case

IMO I'd always considered Ottercase as the ultimate protection. So I never really looked into getting one for my devices because I baby my phones . The farthest I've gone with the protection grade is the Seidio Active with kickstand. The protection is great in using it. I come to the realization that this case is ideal for traveling. Case in point, I had the Seidio on when I went to Disneyworld last year and at the Magic Kingdom shows, the crowds usually gather at the cobblestones at the castle. Being I have my, then 2 and a half year old, she was indeed a handful, even though my wife was there with me as well. lol.... Setting up the scene there, after the event, I had my phone on my lap and when the show ended, it was like a mad dash to move and not thinking, I stood up and the phone fell from my lap onto the stones. I freaked lol, but gladly the fall bounced on the corners and nothing was damaged.
Moral of the story, if you are a clutz get the otter box lol, if you are in an office most of the time, then get something a tad thinner and get the Seidio with the holster. That's what I have and I have to say is kinda business friendly in looks as well.
However, I cannot say anything negative about otterbox, because I have never used one on my devices. Heck, my Kindle Fire is also sporting the active case style .
GL in your choice, its really your call in determining which is the "better" case. Kinda like beauty, this would be in the eyes of the beholder in a sense.
EDIT: And don't worry about the lack of holes on the back. It never affected how the phone worked signal and call wise.
Thanks for all the replies, I really appreciate the input!
So far, I'm leaning toward the Otterbox Commuter case, though I won't be ordering until this afternoon... so if anyone has any last minute suggestions (even recommending another case,) I'm all ears. I'd rather not keep ordering cases in search of the right one for me, so any and all advice would be a huge help.
Thanks again!
I have always found Otterbox kinda overrated till i was given one.. and i have to say the build quality is great... My quick review
