I used the AlphaRevx beta to turn my phone from S-ON to S-OFF which was a success, but what i am struggling to find is, how to root my phone so i can install other custom roms.
I've installed the Root checker app to see if my phone was rooted when i turned it to S-OFF and it says it isn't...
Can someone please post a link to a forum or tell me how to root my phone now it is S-OFF
Thanks.

What do you mean no root ? Explain please.
Have you tried to login as root from the terminal shell console if you have it installed ?
Do you have the superuser icon in the all programs menu ? Have a program that requires root asked you to elevate user to root level ?
u need to install busybox too
Try with gb version 1.1 worked for Me

There is another route to achieve root on these devices after you have soff.
you follow the instructions in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105763 and then use the super one click rooting method, I know that this works as I used it myself.

flash a custom ICS ROM and then you will have root. It is a couple of lines in the build.prop that determine the user type as "equal to root" whereas in the stock RUU leak the user type is "userdebug" ie no root access
Are you S-off? If so, install superuser from the market and update the binary and busybox from within the app.

I tried this also and it said it had failed to update. I have just reverted back to Gingerbread until there is way to root that works. I don't want to flash a custom ICS ROM.
