A Problem I have.....Meeting Recipients - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I cant create a calendar invitation and send it to email addresses that are not in my contacts, I can only pick from the contacts on my phone.... is this normal or am I missing something, if this is the case then thats the end of this being a business phone for anyone unless its fixed.

How are you even sending it in the first place? I couldn't even figure out how to initiate an invitation send.

Intercepting Text Messages

I get alot of text messages from some people and my partner would like to be able to intercept those messages so he can have a copy of them on his Wizard. How would he go about doing that?
You want all you SMS messages forwarded to another phone?
think he want to set rules for which ones are forwarded
Your "partner" can't intercept them.. But you can do one of two things..
Either create a program intercepting all incoming SMS'es, always forwarding them to him. You could append the sender phonenumber in the body of the sms or something so he'll know who it is from..
The other thing you could do .. is write a client/server app, so when you get an sms, it's intercepted and posted to a homepage/server you have.. Your partner could have a clientversion which regurarly synchronizes the data from the server and adds them to the cemail.vol file.. making it seem that he ha got the sms aswell..
Another thing again .. you could just make another app which sends the incoming sms as an email to your partner.. Many ways to do this.. but he can not intercept them.. you have to forward them either as an SMS, Email or pure data via a server solution you code/develop...

he can also make a program which only intercept sms's from a list of phone numbers or where surden texts or char's are present
but the program would need to run all the time and periodicly check for new sms's
i would like a program to reject sms messages or mms messages by phone number like i was able to do with my old phone.

I think I'll just go with the first suggestion. Thanks!
MOD EDIT:
this is obviously illegal.
lets move this discussion to the Q&A section

Hey all. Nearly 2 years have gone by since the last post in this thread and I know technology changes over time. I've done some reading about intercepting SMS/text messages but I was wondering if there are now any other ways to do this.
I want to be able to intercept text messages sent and received from one particular CDMA mobile phone number, or to have them forwarded to me without the person's knowledge. I don't have physical access to this person's phone, but if it helps I do have their ESN/MEID for their device.
I'm not so worried about intercepting phone calls or anything. I can get close enough to the user's phone though to be on the same cell tower as them if needed in order to intercept or have the SMS messages forwarded to me.
Are their any options for making this possible without direct access to this particular device? I understand the idea behind copying the identity of the target phone using a SIM card, but again, I don't have physical access to the phone in order to do that. Thanks!

Guys,
Isn't this illegal? You're literally asking to be the NSA or the government, snooping information without the person's information or consent?
Spying on a significant other?
Cheers.
good point. didn't read the last post.

Double emails sent

When I send email from my Fuze, it asks me for my password. The Fuze begins to send/receive and then asks for my password a second time. It goes through but sends the email twice. How can I get the email to go through the first time and send only 1x?
bump......
Please? Anyone?
I have always sent duplicate emails, no idea why.
me too .. ....
c'mon anyone?
You guys are smart. I know someone has an answer. Right? Please?
Yeah, I have the same thing, I always send two emails as well. By the way, I am using gmail, are you guys using that too?
Thanks for making this post, I thought I was the only one sending two emails.
It only looks like two emails in gmail.com if its an email that you have responses to. Trust me, it used to drive me nuts thinking that I was sending doubles, but there's only one being sent. As long as you're using Gmail with IMAP you don't need to worry about it.

Google Contacts?

Hello,
I am having an issue with my Captivate and SMS messages, I have a contact that I try to send a text message to from the contact list, originally the contact did not have an area code. I added the change and resynced my google contact list but now every time I try to send a message via the contact list, it shows up as just as the contact name and the number does not have the area code. Inadvertantly gets an error when sending a text message to it! What can I do to fix this issue?
Thank you,
Charlie

I suggest that you log on to Google on you PC and delete and then recreate the contact with the area code...Make sure you resync after you delete the contact and the resync after you recreate it.

Thanks for the reply did that 3x and just did it a 4th time now, still the same, oh well, I will live with it. What is funny if I go into messaging and do a new message then select the contact, works perfectly, but if I go off the contacts, it keeps reverting back.
Thank you,
Charlie

[Q] Voice actions working?

Anyone having problems with voice actions?
I cannot get:
Send email to...
Send text to...
Call...
function to work at all. The recipient is actually inside the message and not the send email to "..." part. Any way to fix this?
I am using Cognition 3.02.
It works but not very accurate and may require a few tries. Your contact need to be in your contact list (or maybe even Google Contact list). If it can't recognize your contact name, it will put in message body instead.

All of my contacts are synced via microsoft exchange. Should I transfer them to google?
Not sure. I have mine duplicated in Google Contacts anyway. Test it with a Google Contact and see what happens.
Use Vlingo, work much better.

[Q] Mysterious merging of unrelated contacts???

I've looked online trying to solve this problem, but just can't find anything that describes whats happen to my phone. Pictures, phone numbers and emails from incoming people get added to existing contacts. Example:
Say I have contact: John S. I have his number, his address, and email in the contact.
Later I receive an email from Kimberly K., a business associate who's contact is not in my phone book, but who I have communicated with both by phone and email.
When the email from Kimberly K. comes in, I see a picture of John S. attached. When I check John S's contact in my phone, Kimberly K's email has been added as an additional email. In addition, if I get a call from John S., the picture is correct and the number is correct, but the name displays as Kimberly K? WTF?
This has now happened to several contacts, some have added the email and phone numbers. Also, the names of the mysteriously merged contacts are not even close. When I remove the added information, it always returns. I think that happens either by syncing, or when I receive a contact (email, call, or text) by either of the merging contacts.
What I've done so far:
I have checked my Google contacts on line and they are correct there.
I have disabled contact sync with FB, Viber, WhatsApp, and Yahoo contacts.
Searched like crazy online.
So If my Google contacts online is correct, what is causing the return of the incorrect info when I fix the phone contact?
Would wiping my phone of contacts ensure the sync would bring in the correct list?
Help!
PS, I'm on and LG G2, but I don't think phone brand is the cause.
