My Nexus S isn't doing this (that I've noticed), but my Nexus One started doing it recently, even when set to network time (on T-Mobile).
I'm curious if your NS keeps time accurately when not set to network time. What cell provider do you use?
NS timing
Hi
Thanks for your reply, well, i actually bought 2 NS, one of them is not giving this problem, and the one am using does. it changes time iether set to network timing or not. , both phones have exactly the same setup, but only mine does have this issue (its 2 weeks now).

So I noticed that my phone jumped an hour ahead earlier at 10pm so it read 11pm. My computers aren't set to jump an hour ahead till 2am and then they will read 3am. So right now both my Wife's unrooted stock MyTouch4G and my Nexus S are reading 3:33am when its still technically 1:33am.
We tried setting the time manually and when we set it to 2:33am the time still read 3:33am. Rebooting the phones didn't help either. I'm not sure if this is an issue with T-Mobile's cell service giving the wrong time updates to the phones, Google services, or Android OS.
mines didnt have a problem. fixed properly fine

Yeah at 3:15 my computer said 3:15 and my phone still said 4:15, though when I checked it now they both say 4:15, so it appears it was resolved
I think the network tells the phone the time, and when to update. At least if you have that option selected in The settings menu, i e "use network time".
my phone fixed itself as far as time.
I had DST issues today. I had my phone set to automatically fetch time from network.
Turns out, this morning, the phone didn't advance one hour as I'd expected. This also happened in my Desire running Oxygen (GB 2.3.3).
Although, my GF's Sense Desire (2.2) with the same settings and same network, did what was expected.
I conducting also some tests regarding events in the Calendar and I have found an issue with an appointment I've created before the DST kicked in.
I've set to 8h and after I corrected the system time, it appears at 9h.
From what I see, IOS isn't the only only, lol!
This past weekend I went home to my parents place, and they have a truly godawful internet connection. When you add than on top of the fact that it's a brick house, you get a spotty wifi connection to a slow line combined with a small wifi antenna in a phone usually means that wifi on my phone is terrible when I'm there.
Unfortunately I forgot my laptop this weekend, and wanted to watch some netflix before going to bed. Because I didn't want to destroy my monthly data limit (2gb) I decided to try the wifi. It was working ok at first, long buffers, low quality, but watchable. But then my phone restarted itself.
When it turned back on, I load up the same episode and it does it again. At first I think it's a netflix issue and leave it alone. But the next day while browsing (chrome), it does the same thing. I then realize that all three times, it got hung up while loading. In the case of netflix, loading the episode, and in the case of the browser, whatever page it was. I then turned off the wifi and tried netflix over the 4g connection and it worked perfectly. Same thing with browsing.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, or know about an alternate explanation that could be restarting the phone? If so, do you have a solution? It restarted itself probably a total of 6 times while the wifi was turned on, and not once after I switched it off. At home, with a strong wifi connection, it also never restarts itself.
Thanks for any help.
TL: DR Phone restarts itself while trying to load stuff on a slow wifi connection. Does not restart on 4G or good wifi.
Thanks for the TLDR haha
What ROM are you running? I personally have never had that issue.

At the moment I am running stock, unrooted. I just got this phone last week after having a Samsung captivate for two years. While I had that thing ROM'd to the gills, but rooting and installing ROMs seems a bit more complicated on this phone and I am taking my time making sure I know what I'm doing first.

Does anyone get problems with the data connection hanging? Every hour or two I seem to have to turn data off and back on again to get it to work. When it hangs, only the upload arrow seems to work, and the download arrow does nothing. Also when I turn the data off after it hangs, the data connection seems to take 30 seconds or so to disappear, so I suspect it's crashed. I have had this on a number of android phones over the years, and it's a shame my G Pro 2 is doing the same. The only phone I have ever had that never did it was the iPhone 5s. I have googled it and it appears to be a fairly common problem and some people say it could be the radio stack. I thought about turning the auto mode to 3G only in the mobile networks settings to see if that helps, I'll report back and let you all know.
My LG G Pro 2 display seems to have started flickering every so often and normally when it happens, the screen brightness won't go above 80% and it says it's due to temperature increases. It has been hot in the UK the last few days but as we speak it's around 18 Celsius where I am and it's still doing it. Phone gets warm quickly after not using it for a while, even when I am just lightly browsing the internet with screen brightness set to 30%. It sounds like it's faulty. Anyone had this problem?

Hi,
i had an HTC One X+ with which i faced the exact same issue. Turned out issue with something called fast dormancy. After i rooted and installed a custom rom i had access to disabling it.(sometimes its network enabled as well.) However, It worked. Did not face the same issue on my D838.
Try disabling the Fast dormancy option. Last i checked 5457#*838# gives you a hidden service menu with which you might be able to do so. If you are using a F350 then the code is 5457#*350#. (root not required):good::good::good:

Hey,
That happened to me only once. And i live i India (so I'm sure its much hotter here) So what i suggest is to get your device checked and replaced from the service center. Might have gotten a faulty piece. That might also solve the 3G problem (unless its the network)
Another option is to try and reinstall stock ROM(after a factory reset of course if it works). If its a software issue then it should work.
All the best :good:
Hey all here is a look at some of the problems with the Galaxy S6 including the one I keep getting Wifi sleeping and never waking back up overnight. Anyone else got this?

Interesting couple of questions then, are you connected to a 2G or 5G access point when it happens? How long would you say the device is sat on standby for before you notice the issue.
Mine is 5G and around 3 hours without touching the device seems to generate the problem, but not every time.

Unknown if 2g or 5g and I've had it happen within an hour of not touching the phone. Sometimes it's ok after 2 hours + on standby... very weird!
If you want I can pay more attention and come back to you with more info.
I got my Nexus 5 a few weeks ago and I'm really loving it, but about 5 or 6 days ago it started to randomly be unable to connect to my network for the first few minutes after rbooting my phone, and then just random intervals of 5 or 10 minutes of being unable to connect to my mobile network at a time (my telecom is Rogers, I dunno if that's relevant). and it appears to be getting worse as time goes on (that admittedly could just be in my head). I use MultiRom, so first I tried using my secondary ROM more often to see if it worke without issue or differed in the severity, scope or conditions of the problem, but I experienced the issue exactly the same. Next I swapped my primary and Secondary thinking that would somehow help... still no dice. Today I flashed a third ROM and it's still an issue. From this I take it that the issue isn't ROM one, so I'm stumped. I'm almost positive that my bootloader and radio are up to date so I'm up against a brick wall. Has anyone else had this issue? Or have any clue what I should try next? I know without a LogCat this isn't something easily diagnosable, but it's late and whatnot, so in the time being I'm mostly curious if this is a regular or known problem that I'm unaware of/ my searching somehow failed to turn up? Anyway, any help wou;d be much appreciated, but thanks to those who even so much as take the time to glance at this. Cheers!
