Loving Froyo but missing the black noti bar and icons. Anybody got any that are compatible? please share thanks!
EDIT: Many users managed to get morphs working, HOWEVER the text color mods are currently not working therefore black stat/noti bars will have unreadable black text (clock, operator). Old morphs will work, you will need to remove the services folder from your morph and edit the thm/xml accordingly. I will be posting my morph which is a black stat & noti bar after a few tweaks.
i think i read somewhere metamorph does not work in froyo, needs update.
but the good old update.zip way should work. the rom needs to be deodexed. paul will do this next week. but it would be nice, if someone could deodex classes.odex from framework services.jar, so we are able to mod the status bar. found some info about this on smali/backsmali developer page but wos afraid to do something wrong. could an expert have a look on this?

the older version of metamorp with .thm files is working fine in my froyo.. i have change the top bar , the launcher icon and he power widge.. setcpu will not work (name of app has changed).. also my remove dots on lock screen morph works under foryo

has any one tried to app draw morph? I had that glowing colored X . Wondering how this would work with the new perm shortcuts...
also i am trying to morph my power strip, status bar...etc and its saying i need busy box... how do i get that?

Just Flash Cyans Quick-Root over your rom and u will have it
thanks man, i found the thread. Bout to flash this and be on my way . Cant stand the look of stock. Im awaiting for Cyanogen to get his 6.0 running as I think this froyo is slown in general from 5.0.6

I tried with the .xml's and didn't have any luck. will have to try thm's

Each of the notification bar morphs I have used have resulted in a boot loop upon the forced reboot... if anyone has successfully morphed the froyo notification bar, could they please post a link to a the .thm file or pertinent thread? Thanks!
Ps... preferably a desire look a like, but I'd settle for anything but white

you know you can just take the framework-res.apk and put the png's that were changed into the apk and push it back to the phone.

Got the latest MMorph (@ market ) working with Froyo
How ?
Installing this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686627 to my phone
Problem was the Busybox ( no included with OTA Froyo ) and MMorph app needs it to work correctly ...

You must be on drugs, this is WAY faster and smoother than CM was on 2.1.
someone wanna post link to morph's they are using that are working on 2.2 rather then just saying they have done it ect..?

41 mflops for me on 2.2
this is an apk, not flashable zip. credits go to cyanogen and doniqcc for getting me the file. doniqcc is going to post a flashable zip in his thread for eaglesblood 2.3.3 rom.
using root explorer,set system to r/w. copy the apk to system/app, overwriting the original. as usual, black mms cannot send mms pics over wifi.

not sure. but it's pretty painless to save the original, and restore. or make a nandroid backup to restore from if it doesn't suit your needs.

I'm currently running the newest infinity rom. I cant seem to get my facebook contact pics to update and most of which have the default blank icon. Any way to get the profile pics in my contact list to update from facebook? Is this a possible issue because facebook isn't integrated into the rom? Is there a way to integrate Facebook into the rom? I notice when i stalled FB i can only syc contacts and not calendar. Is there a way to syc both?
Secondly, My wife was wanting a theme she found but it was for old ee4 roms. Is there a easy tut to themeing? If i can figure out how to theme I wouldnt mind doing a couple of themes to keep our roms looking fresh. Lastly, i really like the theme that's in infinity. only thing i would like to change is the over-glow when scrolling. i wanted to change it from yellowish tone to the light blue that's in the rom in a few places. How do i change that? Is there a way to change just that without creating a whole theme?

it is not included in Infinity... it would be an apk in /system/app I think
thanks to dewitherell i can easy add it if its a apk system app i think. If thats what it is. I used his "empty cwm file" to add the the backup assistant. Do i just need to add that? or is there more to it?

that should be it, you don't even need to flash it you can pull it out of any stock CWM rom package and drop in /system/app with root explorer then reboot... but flashing it would be easier so go ahead lol

Easier, no. Better, yes. Check the themes and apps subforum and look for Spc_Hicks's tutorial on turning. That should be a good place to get started.

ok, i read the tut and seam to be having issues using apk manager. sould i be using the apk files from the infinity rom or should i use the ones from stock rom? i tried the infinity rom files but i get a bunch of errors and a long list of stuff i dont understand yet and then the lasat line says quit and i cant enter commands after that

What Ron are you trying to theme?
im trying to run infinity rom atm. would enjoy themeing others possibly if i can figure out how to theme. i cant seem to get apk manager to work right.

this is for people who have an evo 4g flashed to metro.... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B3LIA8OU only tested it on the energy rom but can confirm it works,working on a way to get it working on more or all roms..hope this helps some people out that cant get mms working.thanks to jtheis23 for his post i was able to use the mms apk from it

3D and the 4G

how do you replace the origional mms.apk app, cause when i replace it by overwriting it, the app never shows back up, what do i do? how do i use it?

what scripts did you use?...link?..i tried it on a bunch of different roms and could only get it to work on the energy rom

i was in Dom Rep when this file was posted, couldnt test it till yesterday...
it didnt work at first, I actually had to change my apn file for backup and restore and changed one setting,
http://mms.metropcs.net/mmsc to http://mms.metropcs.net:3128/mmsc
i had to do this for sense 3.0 and sense 3.5 roms...
i like the sense 3.5 roms cause it works with wifi on...
got it working with NRG and Mikrunny, works fine...

sometimes for sense 3.0and 3.5 roms, make sure u lower the maximum size to (500k) and priority settings (LOW)

after u flash the script, goto messaging, settings, multimedia messages(mms), connection settings = make sure it has the metro settings, some dev have mms proxy and mms port for sprint,
that is when i use apnbackuprestore, delete the apn's and restore the apns I have, with the xml extensions, the scripts used to work, but i think something with metro changed, put the 2 files 3_0mms.metropcs.net_3128mmsc.xml and the 3_0mms.metropcs.net_mmsc.xml into a folder on the sdcard called apnbackuprestore..
so when u restore u should have both of these files should show up. then i have been using 3_0mms.metropcs.net_3128mmsc.xml for sense 2.1 3.0 3.5, both of my apn files have the mms proxy and mms port for metro...

all with the same mms.apk and since last night i am using Radiance 3, all work for me,,,
i edited bloody's script for 3.0, added the mms.apk, then unrar the apn file and put it in the apnbackuprestore folder on the sdcard, delete the apns and restore this one attached.

Confirmed working on Radiance rc4 as well with the same steps!

yea,even when i got it to work i tried to click on settings in my messages and it would fc,but i got a different mms apk that looks the same to work with no fc

Hey i searched this forum to make sure that this wasnt already posted didnt see it i guess i will post it. i was able to change the carrier name to what i want it to be with this apk check it out currently on ravers miui rom

no problem glad that i could help out.
If you're running miui, you can simply push the files from the extended settings mod zip. and change it. Even better, you can apply pngs by pushing the images to a theme mtz.
