Error Message - G Tablet General

Every time I reboot my Gtablet I get the following error message (some times several times even though I tell it to force close):
Sorry!
The application Google Services Framework
(process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped
unexpectedly. Please try again,
<Force close>
I am running VEGAn 5.1 and have gotten this ever since I flashed it a few weeks ago. I don't think I received this error when I was running TnT Lite.
Anyone have any ideas?

Try clearing cache in clockwork recovery. If that doesn't work then clear data/cache. This second step will clear your apps so make a Titanium backup of your apps first.

Thanks Mr. Frog. I'll give that a shot. I guess if/when I do restore using TB I should "Restore missing apps with data"... I think have been using "Restore missing apps + all system data". Could that have caused the error?

Had similar problem. Used TB and restored data only to fix.

Gmail from latest froyo update apk? Or, how to make a titanium backup work?

Could someone upload a copy of the new gmail apk? See, I did a titanium backup of everything I had from the first leaked froyo rom and restored it after installing the latest, but after rebooting gmail just force-closes all the time. Anyone have a solution that doesn't involve clearing out everything?
Scratch that, fixed it by clearing out the data from the app in the "manage applications" setting...
That's how you do it. I found out the hard way, by doing it all over. Then the second time around I went that same approach and cleared the data. A gmail is restored.
When you restore from Titanium Backup? Do you have to hit Install and done on some of the Apps? What a pain...Is there a setting I am missing that will install everything? Without having to go through process, after I hit Run Restore All Apps + Data.

If you donate, it will restore in batch mode.

have you tried it without booting up market after the cache and data wipes and waiting a few minutes after rebooting?
have you tried with both TI back up and with the applications settings screen(each seperately and exclusively)?

Didn't know vegan 4 was around .....
I am having somewhat the same problem. I was on CM6.1B4, all working ok but wanted to check out this vegan ROM since it is getting so much traction. I installed vegan beta 3. Tried the market fix, got the error, rebooted, waited over 5 mins, nothing. Tried this over and over.
I keep getting 'Network Error, please try again' in the market. Yes wifi is on and working, I can browse the web, download from the web. Once in a while get the market to show a couple apps and download them. But for the most part the market errors and/or is empty.
Here is the stuff I tried. I did a data/cache wipe on ROM install. I also tried a data/cache wipe 2 more times. I have tried the market fix over and over. Sometime I do not get the market error (the expected one). I tried the new market, with the market fix.
Someone please help, what am I doing wrong, why am I getting the network error. Thing is useless without the market. Gmail seems to have issues too downloading mail. This everything worked fine with CM6.1, does the wifi support 802.11b/g/n in vegan?
What are the exact steps from ROM install or data/cache wipe to get market up and running? And don't point me to the market fix, I wants steps prior to that....
You could just install Applanet... granted it only has like the top 10,000 android market apps... It essentially has everything and anything you would really want from the market. ..
Oh yeah and its free and no need to root..

I found this worked for me and might work for you too.
I goto the settings and select applications and then system
apps. I basically disable google service framework, market and
market update. I then use T. backup and look for google frame-
works and wip the data. I then try to run the market, it should
fail .. You do a complete shutdown and restart ... If you done
it correctly it should get the market working.

When you are wiping the cache for the market in the applications settings do you actually see the byte size for cache go to zero 0.00B? I had the same situation on one of my rebuilds - had to wipe and rebuild because the clear cache nor the clear data were actually clearing (i.e., showing zero).
I had the same issue, tried many many times, no error. it worked for me when I first logging to Google market first. Then, do the market fix..

System UIDs Inconsistent

I just went from JellyBeans18 to CM10.2 and when I rebooted no apparent issues. Then I restored TiBu data on certain apps, not all, and started having issues. Mainly that Nova Launcher wouldn't load and kept crashing, tried deleting data etc...didn't work. I uninstalled Nova and now the Play Store gives me an error when I try to reinstall Nova. Either way I rebooted and I am not getting this error.
"UIDs on the sysytem are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable."
with a button that stays "I'm Feeling Lucky"
I was curious if anyone else has had this and if a simple wipe will fix it? Since I just came from a clean wipe I am skeptical to say the least.

I just got the same message. I was on liquidsmooth 2.9 and flashed over to 3.0 unofficial. I did a clean wipe as well.
The problems started after I tried restoring some app data from Tibu, also some apps. After a reboot, since baconreader wasn't starting up I uninstalled it and went back to the play store and tried downloading it, got and error message saying some along the lines of "error 24". I
Tried setting backup location in TiBu to emulated/legacy instead of emulated/0.
Nope.
Just wondering what worked for you exactly? Or did you find out what was the problem?
I was having this issue. Did you set your backup location in tb to the legacy folder? I did that and restored the apps one at a time and have been five since.
I had a similar issue. See my post below for how I fixed it. Hope it helps.

[Q] Whtsapp stopped working and now throwing unknown errors

Hi everyone,
I have been using my nexus 5 since 4-5 days now and everything was working fine till last night when whatsapp started giving me errors (unfortunately app has been closed). I uninstalled whatsapp and when I am trying to re install it, its now giving me error "unknown error code on application install -24"
I have tried installing via apk, playstore's website, cleared the cache and data of playstore app, rebooted phone but nothing works.
I am hesitant to root my nexus 5 as there is no official recovery available and people are having issues when rooting the device and I cannot afford to have an unstable phone. Hard reset is an option but I would like to avoid it if possible. I have read that if I delete the related whatsapp folder from data/data folder somehow then it will fix the issue. Is there any way I could access and delete that folder without being rooted or if someone has any other solution to my problem.
Any help is much appreciated

Same thing happened to me, Did you enable ART? Because that's what caused my errors (force closing). After switching back to Dalvik and trying to re-install, i was getting -24 error on the play store. I rebooted a few times and left it for a few hours. Tried again and it worked.
Whatsapp is i believe in-compatible with ART.

Okay, As for as i know, it did fix itself when i rebooted a few times and after a while it just worked.
Things i also tried that might have helped. Clear cache for the playstore which you tried. i would do this again after you switched back to Dalvik. and make sure whatsapp is uninstalled before switching to Dalvik. Once you switch back and have cleared cache from the playstore, try to re-install Whatsapp.
As for the backup, on your phone is a whatsapp folder that has a backup of your messages and photos etc. When you re-install whatsapp it'll pick that up and restore your stuff. There is no need to delete that folder.
I Hope that fixes it for you.

Right so far thats what i did, and thats exactly what happened to me. I just left it for a few hours and tried again it worked. Just give it a few hours and re-try / reboot and re-try.
It didnt work. I had to factory reset my phone eventually and wasted my evening doing all the restores, I wish Android had a seamless backup system something like that of Apple's. Helium/Titanium/mybackup, all of them have some kind of flaws

I am not rooted at the moment so TB wasnt really an option. Helium works fine only for apps and their data but I am looking for something that can restore my phone exactly how it was before the reset including home screens, settings etc without being rooted.

That what you are looking for would be a nandroid backup made in a custom recovery, that restores everything. But not possible without root.
Hi,
I have the same problem. Error -24 if I want to install Whatsapp from Google Play Store. Local installation after downloading the APK from Whatsapp gives also an error (app not installed).
Tried several times to delete the cache and setting of the Play Store app and the Google Framework. Followed by restarts of the phone. Until now I was NOT succesful.
As far as I read on other forums, the problem is, that in data/data/ already exists a Whatsapp-directory and therefore Whatsapp doesn't want to install. You could delete this directory, but only if you are rooted. I avoided this step until now, because it's a new phone with warranty and after rooting, all data ist wiped.
I also tried adb to delete this directory, but same effect. Because the phone is not rooted, I can't remove this directory by remote shell.
Is there no way to clean up such remains WITHOUT root?

[FIX] Titanium backup not restoring? Check your runtime!

I manually upgraded my ROM to 10f so that I wouldn't get the notification anymore. After installing TB I tried to restore my apps and none of them would work! Batch restore just hung so I tried and individual restore and got a parse error, and it hit me....
I was using ART instead of Dalvik on my old ROM! swapped my runtime over to ART and TB works like it should now.
Just a heads up for anyone else who might run into this.
You can also let Google restore your apps automatically and then use TB to restore just the "data" for those apps that you need to rather than restoring "App and Data". This is a "safer" method of restoring apps IMHO because you won't run into incompatibility issues while still recovering your data for the apps.
I have always had issue with google restoring my apps. It either doesn't work at all, or it installs every app I've used in the past year or so, even the ones I've removed
