[Q] Apps to change Ring Type quickly - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi all,
Would like to know if there is any application for WM6.5 which can let me switch the Ring Type quickly instead of going deep into the Settings menu to change it?
My problem is normally I want to change the Ring Type to Ringtone + Vibrate, and sometimes to Ringtone Only (without Vibrate). The current setting available on my HD2 when pressing the Volumn Button is only either Enable Ringtone, Silent All or Enable Vibrate (without Ringtone).
If anyone know how to do it please share your ideas.
Thanks!!

Thanks for your recommendation. But I forgot to mentioned that I'm using Energy ROM with HTC Sense currently. I knew this application before, but feel don't like it to overwrite my Today's Theme as I still like the HTC Sense Theme very much.
What I'm looking for is maybe just an application which I can put it as shortcut on my screen. When run the application can switch the Ring Type directly.

vibration duration?

I'm Running NATF v4.7 on my fuze and everything works great nice and speedy. The only question I have and this really isn't ROM specific I don't think, is there a way to change the duration of the vibrate when you get a new sms? I keep my phone on vibrate most of the day on my desk and the way it is now it's about a 8 second vibrate and its more of a ringtone then a quick alert.
~Thanks
have you looked into the sms notification in sounds and notifications in settings
to see what you can do with the settings there?
I have , all you can do from there is turn vibration on and off but not change how long it will vibrate.
I was also wondering the same thing. I just got my fuze the other day and first thing i did was flash NATF's 4.7 so i thought it was the device.. Do other roms not vibrate as long for a sms?
Also there are registry keys to edit the script of rings and alarms etc.. if we can find the one for sms we can tell if its fixable or not.
theres actually an app for this....its called VA alert and you can find it on blownfuze.org
Thanks for recommending that site, got some interesting apps on it. BUT VAlert (i think thats what you were referring to) only edits the ringtone script.

For incoming calls you definitely want VAlert1.21 (updated) by this guy which will let you customize down to the millisecond the pulsing patterns of the vibrator so that it gets your attention better than it otherwise would. I don't know if there's a similar thing for text and email but get this and subscribe to the thread for updates.

I searched through the registry and could not find a script for text messages.
Anyone that has used NATF's 4.7 rom and another rom, is the text vibrate duration the same, or shorter on other roms?

I've used about ∞ roms and so far with all of them they all have a long vibration for if you have the phone on any setting above just vibrate, and then have a three pulse vibration for if you have the phone set on just vibrate. I've also wanted to change this too a different setting, but unfortunately the closest thing thats ever came up is VAlert, and that doesnt deal with SMS . I've also looked in the registry, but I couldn't find anything
if you go to [HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Ringtone0\] You have the String Value "Script" By default it is av0pw3r [a=activate, v=vibrate, 0, p=play, w=wait, 3 seconds, r=repeat]
So this tells the device when you get a call it should activate the device, vibrate 0 (continuoulsy, if it was 1, it would only vibrate for a second) play the ringtone, wait 3 seconds, then repeat.
I'm pretty sure VAlert is just so you don't have to edit the registry manually.
NOW to our situation, since "Ringtone0" is for incoming call ringtone, maybe we can manually add a new key that refers to the new message sound and manually add a script and see if that works? ANyone have any ideas what the device refers to for new messages?

Ringtone1? Ringtone2? Maybe the numbers are used to designate different types of incoming data

Ringggggg. then Vibrate & Ring

There used to be a setting :
Increasing Ring, then Vibrate and Ring. This was done on 1
custom ROM for the Universal , like 4 years ago.
Does anyone have tips on how to get our device to :
Ringggg...then Vibrate & Ring, or even better
Increasing Ring, then Vibrate and Ring.
Not sure if this is it but.....
GOTO> Settings 'tab'
MENU (bottom right in taskbar)
All Settings
Sounds and Notifications
Notifications
Then it's the (familiar) 'Ring Type' drop down with the traditional windows options (no idea if it works/over-rides though)
It's not enabled per default
This menu doesn't have those options, they have to be created
by someone who knows what he/she is doing.
I've seen this hack before, but can't find it.
How does one hack the possible ringtone variations to inlude
inicreasing ring, then vibrate and ring ?
Lucid, have you find the way how to set the ring type you were looking for?
Thanks

[Q] vibrate doesnt work for text messages

ok so my phone wont vibrate when i get a new text message. it may rarely work but more often than not it does nothing.
i have it set to 'vibrate only in silent mode' and then i switch it "vibrate" either thru the lock screen slider or using the volume keys but nothing works.
anyone else have this issue? fix?
is there a setting or way to make it have a separate vibrate and silent mode? like "ringer" "vibrate" "silent"
Can you check at "Text Messaging - (Menu Key Touch) - Message Settings -
Notification Settings - Virbrate Option"
I checked this option and it works perfectly.
Sound setting - Vibrate mode effects only about call mode.
Message Sound and Vibration mode works separately.
hmm thanks but thats not what i want. i dont want it to vibrate and play the sound. i just want it to vibrate when its in vibrate mode....

Did you try the "only when silent" setting within the text messages>settings>Vibrate? To me that means it should only vibrate but who knows if that's how it actually works.
(I feel embarrassed that I've had my D2 since September and never realized that's why my texts never vibrated. I just thought I had gotten used to the vibration I never felt it. lol)
I used to had the same problem and the solution that work for me was downloading this app called "VIBRATION WIDGET".. You just search for it on the market (i cant post links for now)
This is a widget that when you activate it pops up a window that ask you to turn on the vibration (notifications, calls, messages, etc) just click YES/ACTIVATE and there you have it. Problem solved
Sorry about my awefull english
Thanks button if you find this usefull

I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII through Virgin Mobile. I have a custom vibrate pattern set but when I get a text message the default vibrate pattern plays (two short vibrates). I am using the stock messenger app.
This is really frustrating does anyone have a solution?

Volume problem

Hi
I know this might not be the place to ask this question but i think someone might know. I have a zuk z2 (Lenovo z2 plus). I'm on AOSP Extended rom and it's great. But i have some struggles with my personalised volume / notification settings. I'd like to not get a sound from a notification but have it vibrate, but i DO want to have my ringtone volume on. I can't figure it out, the aosp extended is off course based off of stock/Pixel/aosp Android. Please help
Under Sound in the settings, there should be an option to change the default SMS and notification tones. The first one on the list is none. If you select none for SMS and default notifications and have a phone ringtone selected, then you should get the results you are looking for.

Per App Setting to Override Alert Slider Setting

Most of my time my phone is on vibrate, as I work in an office and don't want to disturb people. But in vibrate I don't get notifications if my phone isn't right next to me, like when it's plugged in to charge.
Is there a way without using xposed to allow certain apps (Accubattery, phone calls, messages, gmail priority, hangouts) to make a notification sound while the slider is in vibrate? I have an inkling it can possibly be done through a combination of DND and the slider, but am unsure on how I would configure it.
Thought or suggestions?
Edit: Also, possibly Tasker or Macro Droid could do it? If so, how?

Tasker shall be easy.
In Tasker create a profile - select apps you want to have sound.
Then in Task, make a new task and select audio and set it to whatever you want..
You are done!

It would be an pro's job but yeah I have seen people linking Tasker with each and every possible event going on your device. But I am not one.
