I have been looking for a while for a french dictionary that can run offline (data downloaded to Sdcard) but i haven't found any! (I need dectionary french-french, not a translator)
Please can somebody point me to a offline french dictionary!?

you can use ColorDict which is available freely from the market, it's supports Wordnet, StarDict dictionaries which are also available freeley from the web. You can learn about it here

there you can find instructions about where you can find dictionaries and how to install them. I've downloaded some french dictionaries and the app is working beatifully

I really enjoy my NxS but I'm unable to change the language of voice dialer. When I go to select my native language on the phone setting (recognition language), it's work with every vocal item (like search) but the voice dialer still stay in english.
I've not find solution on forum : I've read to reselect language but it is useless for me.

on the stock Jelly Bean ROM, for now for Google Now to be able to speak, we need the Xoom to be set in English language (both the Android menus and the Google Now language).
If we choose French or Spanish as the Jelly Bean language, and change the Google Now language to French or Spanish, then Google Now does not speak anymore.
As the stock ROM does not have the "download language pack" button (anyway, even with custom JB ROMs including this button, I never heard a Xoom speaking any other language than English, is it possible on custom ROMs ?), does anyone know if and when Google planned to add other languages for Google Now to speak other than English ?

Nobody has an idea ? I couldn't find any information about this issue, it seems nobody cares about Google Now only speaking english ... I don't understand ...
Accessibility- then tap Google text to speach you will see install voice data, German ,Spanish ,French and Italian is the choice I see to download..not sure if it is what you are looking for..

Google Now will only speak if you choose english. It will not speak if you choose another language.
So my question is : does anyone know when Google will let Google Now speak other language than english ?

What's strange is that I couldn't find any information about that nowhere. Just like if only english speakers are using Google Now, and the rest of the world does not care ...

Hi there.
I was wondering if I can remove some of the "pre-loaded" TTS languages.
I would love to see as TTS on my phone's screen, only english and Greek.
I will never activate Russian TTS or Slobenian TTS.
I wish to remove these languages, because my GPS (Genious GPS) sometimes, changes language to "simple greek" without TTS.
In this case, I have to scroll down all the languages until I access Greek.
Is there any way to remove these TTS files from my phone?
