Ok, maybe I'll get an answer on this but I'm using apk manager on my computer at first it was saying that "adb was not found but now its saying Java not found will not be able to sign apk" and when I go to sign using Avabox it keeps saying "error occurred during initialization of VM" "java/lang/NoclassDefFoundError"
I've downloaded java but that error is not going away. Help please.

I tried going back and changing the thread name but it wouldn't let me edit.
I have a HTC Hero that I'm trying to root on a windows XP computer. I tried using Flash's pre-kitchen and have followed the directions as listed on the website. When I try to run the program, during the "diagnostic" stage, I get the message "cannot find a part of the path C:\Documents and Settings/acollins/Destop/adb/help.bat'. I copied pre-kitchen into the C directory thinking that was the issue but still get the missing "adb/help.bat" message.
I read in a forum somewhere that I need to have Android SDK installed on my computer and that I could also get that from this website (xda) but I'm not sure I need it and what exactly it is.
I am trying to use SWM to install the DroidXIME-nonroot.apk on an HTC Aria using Windows XP.
When I choose the file I get the ready to install screen but when I push ok I get the following error:
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continure, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Could not find a part of the path [my chosen path]
When I click continue I'm brought to the home SWM page but am unable to click Go.
I read that this is because I need the MDAC program for Windows. However, I was told I am unable to install the download because of my version of windows. I then read that I needed to overcome this problem by doing a windows service pack update; which I did. However, I am getting the same problem and am beyond frustrated.
Can someone help me please????
I cannot install it at all. I have developer tools and .net framework 4 installed. It gets to say arround 80% before it says you do not have permission. Once i press ignore it comes up with another error with only abort or cancel..
Please, I would love some help to solve this. I have looked everywhere and cannot find an answer

But when I click OK, it shows an error and says Installing software has encountered a problem. I don't know what should I do. I Googled the error but nothing came up!
