6.35.07.29 (SAPP10000) Radio on HTC Magic 32A

Hi,
I've tried upgrading my RADIO-3.22.20.17 to a RADIO-6.35.07.29 (`flashboot flash radio radio.img') and my Magic keeps rebooting some seconds after the Vodafone logo (I'm not able to use the Recovery - it appears reboots after some seconds). I updated my SPL to HBOOT-1.76.2007 as well and the same thing would happen.
I had to flash my radio back to the original but I really wanted to try the new official HTC Sense ROM. Could it be that I'm doing something wrong? afaik any 32A should support this radio.
Any suggestion?
Current details of my Magic:
Code:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2010 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-3.22.20.17

The recovery is rebooting after a few seconds due to a kernel panic. It's not made for the 6.35 radio. You need to download the Amon_RA Hero recovery from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=561124
Can you get into FASTBOOT by holding Back and pressing Power to turn on your phone?
If so, then save the 6.35.07.29 radio.img and the Hero recovery into the same folder and run this on your PC from the folder you saved to.
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-hero-v1.5.1.img
Then turn off your phone, boot into recovery again using Home and Power, then apply update-hboot-1.76.2007-signed.zip
Then you should have radio 6.35.07.29 and SPL 1.76.2007.

So the problem was that I was flashing a recovery-RA-sapphire.img rather than a recovery-RA-hero-v1.5.1.img?
I'll try this when I'm home then... Thanks for relpyin!

That's what's happening... You need to make sure that the radio and recovery are flashed, then reboot and flash the hboot update.zip through recovery.
updated to 1.76.2007 can go back to 1.33.2010 ???

That was it!! Thanks a lot. I'm now using CursorSense
heh...
That's what happened to me earlier today, i used the latest sapphire image because i thought it would be better (since the hero recovery doesn't accept the trackball press and you have to push the call button instead). Unfortunately, the recovery crashed everytime it started, so i found myself in the position to use the hero one that worked like a charm.
Also using sense UI by cursordroid and it is unexpectedly delightful. I used amon_RA's 1.6.2 donut edition before that, but it had bugs, like internet disconnects on wifi and camera causing the phone to restart.
Can I install the the latest radio “6.35.07.29 Radio and 1.76.2007 SPL” and use the latest cyanogen ROM ??

This radio and SPL only support CursorSense ROM. ALL other ROMs will fail to load.

Did you root your phone yet and install a custom recovery? You need to do those two steps to even flash custom roms. Don't ask how just search.

No 32B rom will boot on your device as long as you are running that 32A radio.

ViperSAGA 2.1.1 Wifi not working

Hi, I flashed rom, but wifi is not working.
If someone could assist me with hboot and radio?
With other roms I had no trouble with anything, so some assist with hboot and radio would be needed to get this rom working.
ViperSAGA 2.1.1 with all otas
HBOOT-2.00.0002
RADIO-3822.10.08.04_M
stock kernel, Amibuddha btb and patched
with either wifi not working... :/
AW: ViperSAGA 2.1.1 Wifi not working
I don't think this can have anything to do with radio or hboot. I assume you flashed the boot.img after flashing the Rom and after every kernel installation (the boot.img from the kernel you flashed)?

Well, I havent flashed boot.img separately. I tried yesterday other roms also, (desire xs and sabsa) . Aroma should flash correct boot.img? i assume.

You are htcdev unlocked, still s-on. This means you can't write to the /boot partition from recovery, only through fastboot. So after flashing a new Rom or kernel, you have to extract the boot.img and flash it manually in cmd.

After installing the rom you have to flash the boot.img
this is the guide that i used to flash custom roms.

[Q] Stupid mistake - now stuck in boot loop

I'm not sure what I did wrong but I'm sure it's my fault.
Here goes.
I had an HTC One S (that I rooted using Hassoon's tool ver. 3.3.1). I go rid of it.
Now I got another one for my cousin. We decided to root it and flash a custom ROM.
I followed the steps in the tool up to where you flash your own recovery (which I did; TeamWin latest version from site).
While the phone rebooted we went and got CM10 (the monthly) and GAPPS.
The phone then started up but for some reason a warning came up saying we didn't have root and we had to finish installing SuperUser. We did. The phone rebooted. We put the new ROM and GAPPS in the internal storage.
Rebooted to recovery. Wiped everything except the internal memory (we did not back up) and installed the new rom. Now the phone is stuck on the HTC splash screen.
I tried following another thread here and fear I may have made things worse for myself. I downloaded the latest tool from Hassoon and ran the command "fastboot oem lock" in an attempt to maybe return back to a stock rom or something where we can UN-brick this phone.
Anyway I'm in over my head.. please help.
Here's the info.

You needed to flash the kernel for the new rom you installed.

Forgive me for being "slow" but..
Doesn't CyanogenMod 10.1 come with it's own Kernel?
If not then I may need a link directly to a kernel that I can download and then flash (I looked on the cyanogenmod website and the only thing I could find was how to build the Kernel in Linux).

S-ON devices with HBOOT version of 1.13 or higher do not allow kernels to be flashed through recovery. So even though you have flashed the ROM, the kernel will not have been flashed. You'll need to extract the boot.img from the ROM zip file manually, boot the phone into fastboot mode then use the command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
This will flash the kernel manually.
