dude try and cut an mp3 file and then add it to your media folder. not sure how to make in boot section though.
Try Zedge application. Has tons of ringtones, wallpapers. Etc... I have the transformer sound you are referring to. By the way, its free!

you can read this thread where they make it play an mp3 with a script or read my post where you can play a wav without changing anything.
it would be amazing with the galaxy nexus animation if there is a 480x800 version of it.
download your sound clip (must be in a wav form) place it in System/Ect.... make sure you rename the file to PowerOn.wav (Cap P Cap O)
I have a transformer sound I used in another rom when you clawed the screen or when you unlocked it...ill see if I can make it work for boot sound....actually I think I got it from Dani897 simply homey port on the vibrant thread...if I did thanks Dan....

I'm running cm7.2rc1 and last year there was this notification tones that I can describe as bass drop. If someone knows what I'm talking about and has the files on their PC, please share cause the sights or gone :-(

I don't have any sense stuff, but if you DL a sense ROM, open it with 7zip or something and look in system/media, you'll find all the tones there. Good luck. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I did and it didn't have that notification sound lol ill still keep an I out for it
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
If you go to Tommy's mods thread for the classic, all the way towards the bottom of the op there is a download for sense ringtones. I tested it out, it works fine for cm.

This is just a throw it out there kind of idea. I am currently on ICS but using an old hacked YouTube.apk that has a blue icon. I use it because it let's me listen to the video even with the screen powered off. What I was wondering was if it was possible to get the new hacked HD YouTube apk that a the latest YouTube version and let's you play 720p and make it so that it also continues to play with the screen locked? Further more if it is possible, could an apk be made that would continue to play in the background even after the home button was pressed so that the video played in the background while you were in the browser for example or in the texting app?
Also as a final thought, is it at all possible to bypass "the user hasn't made their video available on mobile message" and so the search would show all results as if on a PC?
All thoughts welcomed

I would like that
I'm using the hacked 2.4.4 Youtube app on my Epic 4G Touch, that allows me to watch videos in HD. If someone can make an app that plays HD on all devices, AND allows videos to play with the screen off, that'll be a WIN!
I also hope someone picks this up. Subscribed
You should call it modified YouTube Apk
Hacking sounds more evil
Correct me, my english is not the best but i try to learn.

The PVSTAR+ app that someone mentioned earlier in this thread is great as a Youtube app alternative that lets you play videos/audio in the background.....but a modded Youtube apk project regarding this would be excellent.
I appreciate all the support this is getting and I have contacted that dev and will post here when he replies
Hello
Does anyone know of an app to listen to YouTube audio in the background while I can do things like browse the Internet?
This would be useful to listen to music.
Thanks!

Try PVSTAR+

This looks and sounds right, but when I try to play a video, it just sits on 'now loading...'.
Any idea what might be wrong?
I have a fast connection, and it only takes a few seconds to open on the YouTube app.

Supervideo, its that pop up video player, like sgs3. Open utube then share....click supervideo.
LisTube....its better then PVSTAR+....just not as well known. It does what you want.
Is it possible to hear music with LisTube while the screen is off?
Background playback in Listube doesnt work with a galaxy sii in android 4.03. Not for me anyway.

Works, but an old UI and the search results are in a strange order.

Same with Google music
Great app, so far it has been working well. One suggestion though, it would be great if you can display the file quality on the search result page as well, that would make it a lot easier to find higher quality files instead of going through them one by one.
Next update will have it!
