Testing my access

Just seeing if I can post on this forum, I keep getting errors about not being allowed to post links to outside websites - when my posts don't contain any links ??!

[Q] Error when posting

I got the following error when I wanted to post a message in the Desire HD General Discussion:
To prevent spam to the forums, new users are not permitted to post outside links in their messages. All new user accounts will be verified by moderators before this restriction is removed.
I'm not a new member and neither pasted a link, so what am I doing wrong?
Users can't post links until they have 8-10 posts. And you're not trying to add an image or something?
good day.
Nope, just plain text. I just tried to post it again, and now it works. Maybe someone saw my post

Nothing. You just haven't made enough posts yet.
On the top of the forum's home page (right under the "Search All Forums" box) you should see a hint with a link to the new member page. Posting links to sites other than xda-developers.com is one of the locked capabilities.

[Q] can't post link

I wanted to upload picture of my phone settings and I got this message: "To prevent spam on the XDA forums, ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages. After approximately 10 posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thank you for understanding! ".
so, in order to prevent spam I need to post 10 posts that I don't need? Is it sounds rational to you??

Maybe try making 10 helpful posts instead of, you know, spamming.
The 10 post rule does frustrate some people, but it serves a very valuable purpose. More information can be found from the link in my signature.

[Completed] [Q] Number of posts not incremented

Hi,
Great site, this is very useful to find information about supporting mods to devices!
I had a question about the number of posts, I am a junior member and as such, there are some threads I can`t post to.
However, my number of posts is not incremented anymore when I add new posts. If I search for posts submitted by myself, 6 posts are returned. However, my post count is stuck at 2.
Is there something I need to do to re-sync this?
Thanks!

I seem to have found the answer, I am using Ghostery as a tracker blocker, and it seems when active, it prevents the post count to be incremented. As long as I deactivate it before posting, it seems to increment the post count fine.
