Gingerbread and honeycombs on the g-tablet? - G Tablet General

Hello guys, i was wondering if the g-table will have gingerbread and honeycomb? Thanks

VeganTab development is moving to Gingerbread source going forward. I'm fairly sure that when source for Honeycomb arrives it will also be ported to the g tablet.

If you believe the reports that CyanogenMod for the G Tab is not dead then there switching to Gingerbread for CyanogenMod 7

Porting Stock 3.0 rom

Hello.I personally don't have,Motorola xoom. But I got an idea.could someone upload a stock honeycomb 3.0?we could try to port it for other phones.well,it is a newest android rom.thanks for help!

There are already countless honeycomb SDK ports. You're not going to see anything better until HC source is fully released to AOSP.
Also, this type of thread does not belong in developmemt. Thread moved to QA since this is a request / question.
Ok,thanks O

3.1?

So if 2.2 is Froyo.
And 2.3 is Gingerbread
Then what is 3.1? Is there any device released as of yet that is running it? Because
I read somewhere, there is an app or app(s) that support all Android OS 2.2-3.1.
So if devs are already building apps that support 3.1, there must be a release of it
somewhere right? Or a leak of the code or something. I am just curious.
UPDATE: So now I know it is called Honeycomb, and so far only tablets have been released with it, like the Motorola Xoom.
Android 3.x is strictly a tablet OS. The next Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich, will unify smartphones and tablets.

not for a while, untill google release the source code there will be no roms at all. At best guess maybe when they release ice cream sandwich they might release the code.

There are tablets that run gingerbread roms. Probably meant for those. You can change the lcd density and get the aosp gingerbread launcher if you prefer.

CM9

Do any of our awesome developers plan on working on a cm9 port once source for ics is released?

I bet the real devs here will work on there own roms when source is released instead of kanging cyanogenmod.
I really hope someone will!
Since my SGS II runs with CM7, i'd love to see it on my TF.

I hope there will be a "official" Team for building CM9 for the TF, not a simple Kang.
Why not contribute? I'm not aware of CM's development model but I'm sure they would appreciate help, or say tablets should FO.

Some of the CM devs got TF's so yes, we will most probably get official release in the first wave

Well you don't really port a patch. You compile the roms source with the patch/mod built in. So it would be ROM specific

Ahh, hmm, then only reason why I ask in the first place is because I never have time to get on my netbook and do it myself. :/

I am actually working this into in a JB Rom I've been working on, but I am still a ways away from releasing it. You will have the choice of what type of lockscreen to use(JB,ICS or BB10 so far.

Thank-you, when I saw that lock screen I became very envious of the look and style. But as I said above I just can't find the time to work on anything besides downloading and flashing.

Like i said though, it may be a little while before I release it. I had begun theming the ROM in source, then decided I wanted to include the tmobile theme manager. So right now I am in the process of reverting the changes I made and creating a theme(apk) out of them.
